Tow Ready Pintle Hitch Replacement Ball, 2-5/16"

Today we're going to be taking a look at part number 63052. This is the Tow Ready Pintle Hitch Ball with the two and five sixteenth inch diameter. It's going to have a capacity of fourteen thousand pounds. If we take a measurement of the shank diameter real quick that's going to give us a measurement of one and one eighth of an inch. The shank length, measuring form the bottom of the shoulder to the end of the thread-in portions, we're going to measure two and one quarter of an inch. If we measure from the bottom of the shoulder to the top of the hitch ball, that's going to give us a measurement of about two and three quarters of an inch. Now a pintle hitch ball cannot be used on a standard ball mount.
The main difference between a pintle hitch ball and a standard hitch ball is the shank diameter. Pintle hitch balls are typically going to have a larger shank diameter than standard hitch balls. It is not safe to modify a ball mount to accept the larger diameter shank of a pintle ball. See here that it has the wrench flats on the side, that way you can easily get it tightened down. With this part number you're going to get the actual pintle hitch ball and you're going to get the lock-nut. It just goes on the thread-in portion there and then you can tighten it down to specifications.

Six stars. If I ever start an internet business, I will pay these guys (gurus) to teach me how they do it. Always correct parts. Always have what I need. Even stuff I didn't think I could find. Shipping times promised, then received in half the time. I have an order waiting for me to complete, but can't spend the money yet. But going to order some lights (too many to choose from) and connectors, and other things like a SNAP RING. Who carries 2.25 inch snap rings? Oh, review ball? It's great. Shipped as advertised. Fits my trailer and hitch. What else can you say about a ball?

It’s been a very high quality product! After using it for almost a year several times a week, the chrome finish on the ball has barely worn off. I would highly recommend!
I've towed trailers every bit of 14,000 lbs, wrapped chains and shackles around it with tow straps and abused this thing for a year now and it doesn't care. Great product and fits perfect on my pintle hitch!
My Hitch & hitch ball arrived yesterday and is exactly what I thought it would be. The quality is very good and everything was packed well.

This is our 2nd purchase of a 2 5/16" Pintle Hitch Ball from Etrailer. The company has a good website which provides a lot of info to get the right item the 1st time. The ball being rated @ 7 tons makes for safer handling of a couple of specialized police trailers (a 5 ton Counter Terrorism HQ trailer & a 6 ton ICX Skywatch tactical surveillance trailer). This rated ball capacity is one of the highest available and @ a fair price. Drive safe.

I recently purchased a hitch ball from etrailer. The 2 5/16 inch ball required a 1 1/8 inch shaft which was hard to find locally. etrailer had the exact trailer ball size that I required and arrived on the expected delivery date.
I was changing my Draw Tite Pintle Hitch from a 2" ball to a 2 5/16" ball and this product fit perfectly for the application. Seems to be a good quality 14,000 pound ball. The shipping was fast and the website was easy to use except I would have liked to see the shipping cost and tax estimated a little earlier in the process. I would use etrailer.com again since I don't have a trailer dealer near by.
ETrailer was my last hope in finding this odd size hitch ball. They had it at a fair price and sent it out on the same day. I received it 3 Days Later via UPS. It was exactly the ball I needed. Excellent product and customer service. Thank you.

Was happy with product received and at a fair price. Did not give the 5th star due to: product was not shipped for days after order was placed. Could have been due to the order was placed close to Christmas,(giving benefit to the doubt).
The hitch ball with a 1-1/8" shank was not available anywhere in town. Etrailer had it in stock. The price was reasonable, the delivery was quick, and the quality is good.

1 1/8 shank hitch ball in 2 5/16 at 14000 lbs is very hard to find, and you saved me from having to buy a new pintle. but when I do it will be from etrailer.com
