• Which Curt Weight Distribution System for Trailer with 950 lb Tongue Weight
  The Curt weight distribution system part # C17500 that you referenced would be the correct system to use if your loaded tongue weight was 950 lbs. The total weight of this system is 120 lbs but this does not count against the tongue weight rating of itself so you wouldn't be over the range by using this system due to it's weight. Curt and our other manufacturers have told us that essentially the system becomes a part of the trailer hitch which is why it's weight doesn't count.

• Hitch Ball and Shank Recommendations for a Equalizer WD System
  You would need to measure the shank of your current hitch ball to see if it would be compatible. You will need to measure the width of the threaded portion of the ball as well as the length of that same portion. For a hitch ball that fits the required dimension you would want part # 63018 for a 2 inch ball or part # 63019 for a 2-5/16 inch ball. For a shank you could use the part # 17120 as it would be compatible and would work well.

  You do make a good point, but almost all of our replacement pintle hitch balls are designed for a specific pintle ball mount system which is why you don't see that dimension on every product page.   If you were to use a 50mm ball or the 2 inch ball # 63018, you will need to go by the ball capacity since it will most likely be lower than the pintle hitch capacity. In the case of # 63018, the capacity is 10,000 pounds. If using it as a pintle, it would have a 16,000 pound capacity.
