  Good question. I went out and measured the ball mount, part # 36078, myself. It's 7-1/2 inches from the pin hole the hitch ball hole. You can actually see the measurement taken in the video I linked for you. If you don't have a hitch ball to fit already part # 19254 is a 1-7/8 ball and part # 19258 is a 2 inch ball.
