Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a brief look together at this Reese tri-ball mount for your two and a half inch hitch receiver. Now, this ball mount is going to let you hook up your trailer to your tow vehicle, giving you three differently sized balls to meet your towing needs. And it's gonna be very easy to switch between the balls. You'll simply remove this from your two and a half inch hitch receiver, rotate it to the ball that you need, slide this back into the receiver, secure it with a pin and clip or a hitch lock and you'll be good to go.
Now, let me give you some overall numbers, some capacities just so you can be confident that this is going to work for you. So, looking at the gross towing weight of the 1 7/8 inch hitch ball, it's gonna be 3,500 pounds. Then the two inch ball is going to be 12,000 pounds, and then the 2 5/16 inch hitch ball is going to be 18,000 pounds. When it comes to tongue weight, the 1 7/8 inch ball is gonna be 350 pounds. The two inch ball will be 1200 pounds.
Then the 2 5/16 inch hitch ball will be 1800 pounds, again, on that tongue weight. So again, this is going to slide into your two and a half inch hitch receiver, and the shank length, the overall length from end to end in case you we inchesre wondering, we are sitting right at pretty close to 14 inches, but I'm gonna call it, at least from my angle here, about 3 7/8 inch, I'm sorry, 13 7/8 inches long from end to end. And this does feature a very strong and sturdy steel construction. This is a solid shank as you can see. And this does have a corrosion resistant black finish that's going to protect it from rust and corrosion.
So, I think it's gonna do a good job of standing up against the elements that it's going to be constantly exposed to. And I do wanna point out that this does not include a hitch pin and clip or a hitch lock. Those items are sold separately. So, if you don't have something compatible, you would have to pick something up. Let me make a few recommendations for you.
If you're simply interested in a hitch pin and clip, you see the item number for the one that I recommend there at the top of that graphic, PC3. However, this is really an investment that you're making, so I would definitely recommend taking a look at the second option there, the etrailer trailer hitch receiver lock. You can just take the item numbers there that you see on the screen, whichever one you prefer, pop it into the search field of our website. That will take you to that item and you can add that to your order if you so desire. This does have a limited lifetime warranty from Reese, and I think that's gonna wrap up our real quick look today. I do hope that our time together was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.
