Hi everyone, Steve here with etrailer.com. Today we're looking at the Patriot hitches five-way three ball mount for 2-inch hitches, rated at 30,000 pounds capacity with a nice blue accent trim. Now the ball mount, as you know, lets you hook up your trailer with the tow vehicle. In this case, it's a 2-inch by 2-inch shank receiver mating up with your 2-inch receiver tube on your tow vehicle. From there, the balls here or the lunette ring connection here for a pin hooks connection would then be that next connection point to couplers and pin hooks. Now the D-ring on front will allow for multiple off-roading and recovery uses.
It's got a nice hard plastic insert in there as well. Now you can remove both of these 5/8-inch pin and clips and rotate this as necessary to change ball sizes. You got 2-5/16, 2-inch, 1-7/8, and, of course, the D-ring or lunette ring adapter. You can actually pull this off, flip it upside down for storage. That way it's not in the way if you're doing a 2-5/16 coupler as well.
Everything here meets all SAE J 684 safety tow regulations. It's a heavy-duty carbon steel construction so it's gonna be ideal for to those extra heavy loads. And it's got this beautiful black powder coat finish on the metal parts that are in black and the blue powder coat on the blue accents. Rated at 30,000 pounds capacity and a max tongue weight of 2,000 pounds. This should be more than enough to get most, if not, all jobs that you need done.
So quick dimensions, 12-inches overall on a length, a height from the bottom of the block up to the top of the ball, 7-5/8. And from the center of the hitch pin hole up here with the pin attachment to the back, 6-1/2-inches. The next one in sequence back 4-3/16 and find the closest to the back 2-1/2 on center.
