Hi, everyone. Steve here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at the Patriot Hitches Four-Way Three Ball Mount for two inch Hitches, known as the Captain, with a nice blue accent. Now folks, this ball mount lets you hook up your trailer to your tow vehicle, and the two inch by two inch shank here slides into your vehicle's hitch receiver. Now the hitch balls here, you got three size options. One and seven eighths, two inch, or two and five 16ths.
Those are gonna be connection points for your standard ball couplers. And you have a nice D-ring down here with the protection over it as well, to allow multiple off-roading and recovery uses. Now this is made of a heavy duty carbon steel construction. It's gonna be ideal for towing extra heavy loads. It is rated for 30,000 pounds capacity on the D-ring.
And the maximum tongue weight of the unit is 2000 pounds. Now as you can see, you've got a nice blue accent on the D-ring and the hitch pins. You get two hitch pin and clips. And one thing I would note is that the first time you use these, you're gonna get a little bit of the flaking of the paint finish there coming off possibly, or scratches. Just note that's where the pin goes through.
So that's gonna be a normal thing. And then potentially sliding this pin and out over time could wear down that blue color. So just pointing it out there. Now we also carry this same unit in multiple colors. You can check them out here at etrailer.com as far as these blue accents that you're seeing here.
Now, if you want to hitch lock, which I recommend, that is sold separately. You can find them here at etrailer.com. Some quick dimensions. Overall, I got 10 and one quarter inches long from the face to the back. I got from the base here to the top of the two and five 16ths inch ball, which was the tallest. I got seven inches tall, and then on a width I got seven and one quarter inches wide at its widest point. Now from the rear of the shank to this first set of hitch pin holes all the way around, it's the same dimension. It's two inches on center. And from the back to the next one up, or the closest one to the balls from the back, I got three and a half inches all the way around on center on all those hitch pin holes. Well folks, that's gonna wrap it up for our quick look together today at this Patriot Hitches, the Captain with blue accent. I'm Steven. Thanks for watching.
