This unique mount from Gen-Y Hitch includes a ball mount that can be easily positioned in one of the 8 stacked receivers that sits along the vertical shank of the unit. This dual-ball mount lets you tow a trailer with a 2" ball coupler or a 2-5/16" ball coupler.
Also included is a pintle lock, which can be inserted into the receiver directly above the ball mount to create a pintle hitch for hooking up a trailer with a lunette ring. Unlike other adjustable pintle hooks on the market, there are no nuts and bolts to remove and retorque when you change the positioning of this hitch. Just move the ball mount and pintle lock up or down to get the proper height and secure them in place with the included pins.
With the 8 stacked receivers, not only do you have the ability to adjust the height of the included ball mount, but you also have the ability to add various other hitch-mounted accessories. This heavy-duty mount is built with a 2,000-lb tongue weight, so you can even use multiple hitch accessories at the same time, as long as there are no clearance issues.
Because this mount has such a significant drop, a stabilizer kit is included to prevent any wobble and to keep the mount stable and sturdy as you tow. Simply bolt or weld the brackets onto your truck's frame, and connect the stabilizer bars to the back of the Gen-Y mount. The stabilizer bars can easily be adjusted to span the distance between your vehicle's frame and the Gen-Y ball mount.
If you remove the mount from your hitch, the stabilizer bars can be disconnected from the brackets using the included pins and clips so that you can remove the bars from your vehicle as well.

Today, we're gonna take a look at this Gen-Y Adjustable 2-Ball Mount with a 17 1/2 inch drop and a stabilizer kit for a two inch hitch, has a 16,000 pound gross towing weight capacity. Now, this adjustable ball mount will let you hook up your trailer to your tow vehicle. The shank portion right here is what'll slide into your two inch hitch receiver on your vehicle. Now, the hitch pin and clip or the hitch lock that'll secure it to your hitch receiver, that is not included, you would have to supply that. The hitch pin holes, there's two of them to choose from, they have a 5/8 inch diameter.
Up front here, they use a two inch diameter ball and a 2 5/16 diameter ball to provide the connection points for your trailer coupler. And it also includes this pintle lock accessory here. When this is paired with the larger 2 5/16 ball, it provides a connection point for a lunette ring coupler. And the way it operates, let me just try to show you here, we're gonna pull this clip out to slide this pin out, and you can push that lock out of the way. And a lunette ring coupler that's on a trailer is like a round ring.
And so, if you go to hook up on a lunette ring coupler trailer, that lunette ring will drop over the ball, sit in place here. And to keep it from coming off the ball, you just slide this pintle lock like this over that lunette ring, and then pin it in place. And then it'll hold that lunette ring in there. Now, if you're not towing a trailer that has a lunette ring, if it's just a regular, you can actually pull the pin, slide it back out of the way. Put the pin back through there, and it'll lock it in place out of the way.
So it's a nice feature to have this pintle lock, which is included. Now, the capacity on this is gonna be determined by the ball size that you use. If you use the larger 2 5/16 ball, it's gonna give you a gross towing weight capacity of 16,000 pounds, maximum tongue weight of 2,000 pounds. If you flip the ball over and use the two inch diameter ball, it's gonna get you a gross towing weight capacity of 12,000 pounds, maximum tongue weight of 1,500 pounds. Now, you can see there's eight stacked receivers here.
They're all two inches in size, and they'll accept the included ball mount, pintle lock, as well as other hitch-mounted accessories. It does include the two 5/8 inch diameter stainless steel pins and clips, which are included to secure the ball mount to the shank and the pintle lock to the shank. And what's nice about the clips, I sort of like them, 'cause they have a twist design to them. If you noticed, it's just not two straight pins, one of them is twisted. And the reason they do that is when you install your pin, it makes it a lot easier to push it in. On a normal clip, you keep trying to push it, it takes a little effort. This one, you just hold it sideways, push it, and it'll twist right into place and lock. Very easy to install and easy to remove. Nice feature to have. Now, the adjustable height on this will let you tow trailers of different heights with the same vehicle. This will work well if you have a lifted truck. The ball mount can be lowered or raised to match your application. Now, this one here is gonna give you a maximum drop of 17 1/2 inches. Now, because of the large drop on this ball mount, they do include the stabilizer kit. This stabilizer kit is gonna attach to your vehicle's frame to brace the ball mount and distribute the load. This is a heavy-duty steel construction. On the ball mount and on the pintle lock, it is a zinc primer and then a black powder coat on it. And then on the rest of this you can see, it's a primer, and then they use a durable silver vein epoxy powder coat on the shank to help resist corrosion. These parts are made in the USA. Application, again, we mentioned it fits a two inch by two inch trailer hitch receiver.
