What's up everybody it's AJ with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna be checking out this Gen Y rebel adjustable ball mount. It's going to be great for two inch by two inch hitches. And what you're going to do, is you're going to be able to switch it up for whatever trailer you need. So if you have a couple of different trailers, you have a boat trailer or an enclosed trailer like this, and they're different heights, you don't always have to get a different ball mount and slide in there. All you have to do is pull this pin and move it up or down in whatever position you need it to be.

Then you get on the road quicker. Let's check it out. Right out of the gate, we'll let you know that it's a gross total weight of 7,000 pounds. So it's 7K is where that comes from. We're looking at a couple of different versions of this today, but they're all going to be 7K weighted.

So that's what you're going to be working with. Other than that, they're all going to have that same black powder coat steel. I mean they're going to hold up, whether you leave them in the back of the hitch when you're not using them, or you put them in the back and keep them protected here. You don't have to worry about rusting, corrosion, or the elements getting to it at all. It's really easy to use.

I like how you just pulled this clip on this side. Pull the pin and you can adjust the ball up or down. In these challenged, in these channels, excuse me, and they're each going to be two and a half inches apart from each other. So that's going to be your points of adjustment, just to keep it in mind. Think about your trailer and your truck and what exactly you need.

Take a closer look at it with the trailer removed from it. You can see the mount and the ball here. It does not come with the ball. So you're going to buy one separate. We have a two and 5/16 one here for this trailer. Something I would recommend is you can buy another one of these mounts on the side and get a different ball. So if you have two different trailers with two different sizes, you can get a two inch ball and a two and 5/16 and swap out whatever you need. Like I said, it's as easy as pulling this pin and removing it and you can put the other one in and you can be on your way. I really like that, that the whole point of this being adjustable, is you can fix the height or just swap out this ball real quick and get on the road. I want to put them side by side so you could see what your options are going to be. Now, this one's going to have three stacked receivers. This was going to have four, which is going to change your rise and your drop. So let's go to this one first and talk about it. This one's going to have a drop of six inches and a rise of four and a half. Then this one to the right, it's going to have a drop of eight and a half inches and a rise of seven inches. So just kind of think about what truck and trailer combination you have. How much adjusting you have to do and what you're actually going to need to figure out which ones work for you. Now they're both weighted for 7,000 pounds. You don't have to worry about that. It's just a matter of how much adjustment you're going to have to do. Do you have to go from here to here all the time Or do you need more than that Is this not enough when even if you flip it around, do you need more than just a little bit That'd be this one here. You see, you get that lower adjustment, or if you flip it, you get that raised adjustment and that position. And just depends on which one you need for what trailer and truck combination, like I said. Another great thing about this, is that you can swap out your ball mount for hitch-mounted accessories. Cause it is just a two inch by two inch shank. And they're just stacked up on top of each other. So here's the step from Gen Y and you can go in any of these positions where you even need to step. So I kind of liked that because, again, you don't have to take this whole assembly out and mess with it. You can leave this in your hitch and you just swap out your accessories here just making it easier to do so and use these things when you need them. So just the pin and a clip. And now your step's ready to use. Overall I think it's going to be a really great thing to have. It's going to help and save time when you're hooking up to your different trailers. If you have a boat trailer, an enclosed trailer, there's no more swimming, swapping out of the whole assembly. Getting this one out of here. Switching things around.
