Hello, neighbors and friends. Stephen here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at our Draw-Tite ball mount with a two inch ball for two inch hitches with a two and three quarter inch rise or a four-inch drop rated at 7,500 pounds. Now folks, with a ball mount, you can simply hook up your trailer to your tow vehicle. The shank simply slides into, in this case, a two inch by two inch receiver tube on the vehicle hitch receiver. And then the two inch ball in this case provides that connection point for the trailer's coupler to come down on and hold tight.
Now, this shank does have an angle cut on the end of the shank that allows for easy installation and removal. And you can use it in both the drop, or you can flip the ball over and everything and use it in the rise position and have the ball coming up this way. Now, it is a nice heavy-duty steel that's been black powder-coated, so it's gonna resist corrosion and the ball is chrome plated. That way it's gonna resist corrosion as well. They do give you a pin and clip included.
You can simply pull the pin out and the clip, and then whenever you insert it back into the hitch receiver, you put it back on to hold it in place again. Now again folks, rated at 7,500 pounds gross towing or 750 pounds of tongue weight. Now, a couple of measurements. From the center of this pinhole to the center of the ball is nine inches. And the rise, if you we inchesre gonna use it in this application, would be two and three quarter inches from the top of the inside of the hitch receiver opening, so the part of your vehicle, to the top of the ball.
And the drop like it is here, it's four inches to the top of the ball from the top of the inside of the hitch opening. Once again, it's a two inch ball. The shank dimensions is one inch diameter on the shank by an inch and a quarter long on this particular shank. Now, this does require a socket of one and a half inches. If you need to remove that and flip it over and whatnot.
The hitch pin's a standard five eighth inch, and again folks, this is the Draw-Tite ball mount with two inch ball. I'm Stephen. Thanks for watching.
