Powder coat finish over a-coat base provides excellent rust protection.This ball mount fit the SUV just right. I needed a 5 inch rise and the mount angled away from the bumper. However, the load capacity was way more than I needed, but the fit made up for that. It's a little loose in the receiver so I will be adding a stabalizer to lock it in place.
Its been a year and I aint broke it yet.
I use this hitch to tow my 7Klb trailer. The trailer is tongue heavy and I needed something rugged to tow it with. Haven't had any troubles with this hitch.
Did not work on my truck due to custom rear bumper. Looks great on my friend's 2018 F350 4 X 4 diesel!
I bought this hitch for a trailer I use to haul logs with. It is very well built and should last forever.
Nice steel ball mount with very little flex, especially for such a big drop. Bought a new ball at the same time and put it right to work. Nice black enamel paint finish.

Keeping the ball greased makes hook-up easy. Very pleased with the way it performs.
Solid metal casting. Ball mounting hole is 1.25"; hole for the drawbar pin is a shade over 5/8". Approximately 3.5" from the center of the pin to the inside of the drop; approximately 10.5" from the center of the pin to the center of the ball. Drop is 6". Thickness at the ball mount surface is a hair over 1". Width at the receiver is just under 2", and at the ball mount it's a hair over 3". Markings at the ball mount surface are "MAX TRAILER 16000 LBS, MAX TONGUE 2,400 LBS, V-5 SAE J684"; markings at the receiver billet are "PAT#D469723 MADE IN CHINA SHA012210".
This product is really stout, and will give great peace of mind while towing my new 10,000# boat and trailer.
Unrelated, but worth mentioning is that the service by etrailer.com is exemplary. This is my second purchase from them, the first of which arrived promptly after excellent communication about the status of my order, and the products were even better than expected. On the second order, the box containing the goods was damaged in transit, and this 31# Ball Mount had exited the package through a hole poked from within and must still be rattling around in a UPS plane or truck somewhere. I took a digital picture of the box and called customer service to report the problem. About half an hour after making the call and forwarding the image by E-mail I got notification that a replacement had been shipped free of charge. Much to my surprise it arrived the next morning. The only request was that I keep the damaged box for a while in case UPS wanted to pick it up to verify the report.
This kind of service is exceptional, and will make me a permanent customer of etrailer.com.
The quality of this 6000 lb. rated hitch ball riser is better than the 7500 lb. rated riser it is replacing. Your videos helped me get the exact riser size that I really needed instead of the riser I bought from the company that installed my trailer hitch. Thank you.
Leveled the trailer out while towing, little loose In the receiver, probably wrap it with some electrical tape...good price, good shipping.
Good strong ball mount. Will have no doubts about pulling our 2 horse trailer. The weight rating is overkill, but it is better to be safe than sorry.
This forged ball mount is a solid, hefty product, no doubts about its tow capacity. It fit my Class IV Hitch receiver as advertised. Delivery was fast...received it a day earlier than expected.

The trailer hitch was just as expected -- it's a 6" drop ball mount. However, the customer service was unexpectedly great!
Exactly what I was hoping to find in the market..... It shipped so fast, I couldn't believe it! Five minutes after I received it, I put it on my car and the "higher" ball hitch level is now perfect for my boat trailer.

Still working great!
I had to take trip with my new Ram 1500 Bighorn and towing my utility trailer with my old hitch wasn't having my trailer level.
These items made it level and had no issues at all.

This was a gift for my son. I also have two more that i use. Very strong and i don’t have to worry about breaking then as i have done with the welded ones. Safety is very important to me.
I just received this new drop hitch and it feels like it was built from tank parts. Solid steel. All I can say is don't drop this on your foot or you won't be going on any trailer hauling trip. Great 6" drop, excellent length to get a good reach behind my vehicle, 1-1/4" shank hole for heavy duty ball mounting. I don't expect I'll ever have to replace this part!
Product was exactly as it should be. E trailer was great with their customer service. The first hitch they sent never made it to my home, I called e trailer and let them know and they sent another one out the same day.
Great service, very prompt shipping. Got the HD 6" drop, and 10,000 # 2" ball and pin & clip. This will help to level my car trailer. Weight rating is higher than needed but , I'd rather be on the plus side.

Ordered this ball hitch from the etrailer.com website. Very prompt service. So far, I am very pleased with this product and this company.
I required a 5" rise due to my vehicle being so low. This ball mount was perfect with the angle of the lift being diagonal it helped clear the vehicle without making contact. It created the perfect hight required for a uhaul trailer.
Very Strong, Sleek-looking ball mount that gives adequate towing height to accept my boat trailer. I take comfort knowing it's cast solid (not hollow like lesser class ball mounts) and capable of supporting my load.
For this product there should be another rating category; "Outstanding". The description for this ball mount is completely accurate. It is a solid, one-piece, massive forging unlike most mounts that are rectangular tubing with a welded-on drop piece. This thing looks like it should be on a D-9 dozer or a tank! Anything my truck can pull, this will handle with ease.
