  • Will Curt Trailer Hitch # 14001 Fit a 1992 Ford F-150 Flareside
I spoke with my contact at Curt and he stated that the Curt Trailer Hitch, # 14001, will fit your 1992 Ford F-150 flareside. I have included a link to the installation details below. There are cab and chassis models that have a 34 inch frame. If you plan on doing some towing with this hitch you will need a ball mount, hitch ball, and wiring. The recommended ball mount is # 40331, you can use hitch ball # A-90 (2 inch diameter) or # 19286 (2-5/16 inch diameter). For wiring, you will need...

  • Can I Keep My Spare Tire Mounted With The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # 14001 On 1997 Ford F-250
I contacted our representative at Curt and he informed me that you will be able to keep your spare tire on your 1997 Ford F-250 extended cab long bed with rear full tank, with the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver, part # 14001. When installing part # 14001, you will need to lower the spare tire to install the Curt Hitch. After installation you will just need to raise the spare tire and position it into place. To complete your towing setup, you may be interested in the following items: Draw-Tite...

  • Will The Curt Class IV 2 Inch Hitch # C14355 Fit A 2002 Ford F-150 With The 7700 Package
The Curt Class IV 2 Inch Hitch # C14355 is listed to fit a 1997 to 2003 Ford F-150 and F-250 Light Duty. When the Super Duty line was released in 1999 the F-250 Light Duty became the 7700 package for the F-150 model. So the Curt hitch will fit your 2002 Ford F-150 known as the 7700 package. You might have to lower the spare tire to install the hitch, but you will not have to remove the spare tire. The hitch will not fit vehicles that have a 20 inch wheel and tire as a spare tire. If you...

  • Extra-Long 2-1/2-Inch Ball Mount Rated for at Least 15,000-lbs
We offer both fixed and adjustable ball mounts that will fit a 2-1/2-inch hitch like the one on your 2016 Ford F-350 Super Duty and you can see them all on the linked page. We do offer an extra-long fixed ball mount rated for 16K, part # BWBMHD30214, that has either a rise or drop of 6-inches. This ball mount uses a 5/8-inch hitch pin or lock such as # C21510 or # e98881, and it takes a hitch ball with a 1-1/4-inch shank diameter such as # C40030.

  • Availability of Ball Mount With 3" Rise/Drop
I'm not sure if you're looking for a 3" rise or drop but we have options for both so you don't need to worry about being off by an inch. For a ball mount with a 3" rise you can use the # 40331. You will also need # C48810 for a 1-7/8", # A-90 for a 2", or # 19286 for a 2-5/16" hitch ball. If you need a drop you can use the # TS64FR. This has a 3-1/4" drop but the 1/4" difference won't be noticeable.

  • Does a Curt Trailer Hitch # 14301 Limit Access to the Spare Tire if Installed on 2013 Chevy 1500
To install the Class IV Curt trailer hitch # 14301 on your 2013 Chevy 1500 you will need to temporarily remove the spare tire for accessibility to the hitch mounting locations. After installation is complete and the spare tire is re-installed you will not have any issues with accessibility or clearance around the full size spare tire when mounted in the factory location. I have included a photo of this hitch installed on a slightly older Chevy truck, and you can see that there is no interference...

  • Wiring Plug, Hitch, and Accesories For 2003 Chevrolet Avalanche Towing 23 Skamper Travel Trailer
The item you selected, Pollak 7- and 4-Pole Trailer Connector Socket , part # HM40975, plugs into factory connector above the spare tire. You can use part # HM40975 if the vehicle wiring will reach to plug into your vehicle. If you find you need extra length of wiring to connect I would recommend Replacement Multi-Tow 7-Way and 4-Way Trailer Connector, part # 30955, which is designed to work on your Avalanche, and will plug into the factory connector above spare tire underneath your truck....

  • How Does the Curt Trailer Hitch Attach to a 1989 Ford Bronco
The fact that you do not have holes on the frame of your 1989 Ford Bronco is not a problem. You will drill holes into the frame to install this Curt Hitch # 14001 on your vehicle. The location of your spare tire will not be a problem either, check out the installation instructions I attached that show how it installs. I also attached an installation video for this hitch for you to check out. At most you have to reposition your spare tire, but that would be the worst case scenario. To...

  • Fit of Draw-Tite Class IV Part # 41943 on 2003 Ford F550 with 34-1/4 Frame Measurement
The Draw-Tite Class IV Hitch, part # 41943 will fit the rivet configuration you mentioned (see figure # 3 in the instructions I have linked to). I checked with one of my contacts at Draw-Tite, who tells me that this hitch will work with the 34-1/4 frame measurement. That 1/4 inch is within acceptable tolerances, so the hitch should fit just fine for you. Before selecting the appropriate hitch ball and ball mount, you will want to check the gross trailer weight, GTW, and tongue weight, TW, capacities of your 2007 Ford F-150 and your trailer hitch. If you are going to be towing a car hauler, then you will want a ball and mount with the highest possible GTW and TW that is compatible with your truck and trailer hitch.
