Hey everybody, Adam here with etrailer. Today, we're gonna be taking a look at the Draw-Tite three inch multi ball mount. So this one's gonna come with a two inch, but also a 2 5/16 inch ball. It's going to be made of steel. This is gonna be for your three inch Hitch receiver. So make sure you have a three inch.
It's a big boy, and we're gonna have two different capacities when it comes to which ball that we're using. So with the two inch, the nice thing about this is it's actually kind of a high rating for a two inch ball. It's about 12,000 pounds gross trailer weight, and 1,500 pounds tongue weight. But if I we're to take this off, and switch it around, like this. So now the 2 5/16 inch ball, we're gonna have a larger capacity which is all the way up to 25,000 pounds gross trailer weight, and 4,000 pounds tongue weight, which is a lot.
With both of the sizes from the center of the Hitch Pin Hole to the center of the balls may be about nine inches. So it gives you a little bit, it's not too close, but it's not too far away either. So you just wanna make sure if you do have some accessories on your trailers, like maybe a toolbox on the front of it, or even if you just have some bike racks on the tongue, you wanna make sure that you're not gonna have any contact with the back of your pickup truck. So definitely take that into account. And if you need another ball size from this, there are some other options to upgrade.
If you really wanted a multi ball, which is basically three of them, we do have the B and W, which is gonna be a major upgrade because this Draw-Tite is extremely, I would say base level. So it's nothing really fancy, it just gets the job done. But with this one, we don't have to take it out. We can just take this pin and rotate it, but we do have one for a three inch as well, but this is an extreme upgrade. We're gonna get rises and drops.
But with the Draw-Tite, we're not going to get any rise and drop. It's just a straight shank. So if you don't really need, if let's just say you don't have a lifted truck it's just a stock truck, I would say that this is gonna pretty much work for most of your applications. I don't really have a rise or drop on mine and it works out for me. So if that's your situation, this is gonna be a great option for you. One thing we are gonna have to get is a hitch pin clip. The diameter needs to be about 3/4 of an inch. And what I suggest doing is getting a locking one, just because anybody can just go up and pull the pin and clip, pull it out and take your ball mount. With this one we can screw it in there, lock it in, and then it's gonna be completely locked. So we don't have to worry about it running off on us whenever we have it installed. I just like the peace of mind and I know you will too. So just add that to your cart when you grab this ball mount. And that's basically it for our look at the Draw-Tite multi ball mount for your three inch hitch receivers..

Well made and very HD. Used for 14k dump trailer and backhoe trailer with no problems.
Exactly what I was needing. The Ford 2017 F-350 with the trailer towing package has a 3inch receiver. I was glad that the balls (2" and 2-5/16") are not chromed. Chromed items have to be heat treated to reduce hydrogen embritlement.
This is one strong hitch! Very versatile as our boat requires a 2” ball and our RV requires a 2 5/8” ball it is easy to just pull it an flip it. The hitch pin hole is larger so I used an adaptor so it would fit into an OAM Ford receiver.
Very beefy and strong bar. Only issue I have, is that the paint/coating on the ball came off on the very first tow. It is now the same old rusty ball like every other cheap hitch.
We were impressed that the hitch is cast as a single piece. It appears to be extremely strong and well made. We're using it with a 2018 Ford 350 because the receiver it has is a "one size fits all" which means there is too much looseness which is hard on the trailer and truck. Thanks.
I needed a heavy duty ball hitch and this Draw-Tite for the 3” receiver on my F350 filled the needZ
Well made hitch. Fast service. Will purchase from this company again.
Love it
This hitch is better than I expected. The price is very reasonable.
