I ordered a euro style, stinger. It arrived quickly. I would use again, and recommend it to others. Also, I had to ask customer service some questions, which I don't remember. I do however, remember them answering those questions, in a friendly manner. So good customer service as well, which is hard to find, any more. Do businesses with this company. They are earning it.

This is a stylish and attractive ball set up that looks less 'trucky' than most. No, I never noticed it before I bought one, either.

Great product. Fit and finish is excellent.
mounted the Curt 1 1/4" hitch to my 2007 Mazdaspeed3.
Taking the rear bumper off, which only took 30 minutes (maybe a few minutes more than that) made it very easy to attach the Curt hitch to the car.
I wanted to compliment the Mazdaspeed3's overall appearance, so, I decided to go with the Curt euro ball mount 11 3/4" .
Very pleased with the outcome.

The CURT 1-1/4 HITCH along with the CURT 1-1 3/4 EURO BALL MOUNT have exceeded all my expectations and have performed excellently. The tutorial from ETRAILER made this installation a breeze. When asked or prompted, Ive highly endorsed ETRAILER for providing quality accessory products for my 2007 Mazdaspeed3. From the ROLA Roof Rack and accompanying ROLA bike racks, to the CURT Hitch and CURT EURO Ball Mount, ETRAILER has stood head and shoulders above the competition in customer service, correspondence, quality name brand products, and value for your money.Whenever I need an accessory for my Mazdaspeed3 , I check ETRAILER first. I will be a loyal customer with ETRAILER for as long as they are in business.

This worked out to be the perfect ball and mount for my purpose- occasionally having to use my car to tow my utility trailer. I got this and the DrawTite receiver hitch for my '99 Monte Carlo and everything went together in less time than the estimated time that had been shown. Very happy with both purchases!

Very well! Trailer is just the right height and towing is very easy.

Love this item. Installed on a 2016 Hyundai Sonata, vehicle sits low so the rise on this was perfect. Installed with the Curt wiring harness #C56247 and the Drawtite Sportframe receiver #24940. Works excellent together.

The order was received, and it's perfect. I especially like the euro style hitch, fits right in with my VW and our custom trailer, that we tow about to car shows!

You are the bomb with that kit.

How did you mount those fog lights on the front . I have a 2004 Jetta wagon and have been trying to figure this out for years. Do you have pics? Love what you did to your car!

Great product, tucks in well under bumper, you can barely see it, easy installation on my 2014 chevrolet cruze RS and the product looks well made. Thanks Etrailer!

Great heavy duty all in one trailer tow with ball mount. Excellent value as well as fast shipping and good packaging. Exceeded my expectations.

Love it!

Great customer service fits and looks great. First item was lost in the mail thanks for sending out the second one so fast

The product fits very well in the reciever setup that I also purchased from eTrailer for my 2013 Chevy Cruze. I mainly pull a small 5'x8' trailer with my dirtbike and the additional space between the ball and my back bumper is perfect. I have zero complaints and have been very pleased with the overall setup.

No brainer to buy a 2" ball in case u need to move trailers with that size tow ball.

All working fine. Tow bar paint was quite thin. So has rusted a fair amount already. Will wait for warmer weather before I go under the bumper to sand and repaint hitch.

Products I ordered and received are fantastic. I have long been looking for a domestic source for the Euro Ball Mounts (swans neck towbar). I was esctatic that Curt is now offering a nice domestic version based on the 1-1/4" square receiver. I am making custom hitches for my two antique german vehicles, and these were just the ticket!
I do have a criticism for the shipping department. The items are naturally very heavy, and were not packaged appropriately, so the carton was ruptured when I received it - luckily no parts were lost or damaged.

Fit great, worked as planned, and fit snugly as well.

Perfect fit and easy install thanks to Instructional videos provided by Thank you for the great service over the years! Rhino Rack and Curt Trailer hitch! Now I don’t have to carry my Kayak on the top of my VW with pool noodles and straps through the doors.

Fits my Volvo V50 with Curt hirch perfectly.

The whole process was easy peasy !

Best product for our Smart Car! does it all!

1 year and I’m more than happy with this product! I pulled over 12000 miles this year alone! Can’t be more satisfied!

Overall I was a little concerned because I had read that shipping was fast but my hitch arrived slower than expected which caused a delay in my plans by weeks. Than when the hitch arrived it had no hinge pin. A little disappointed. I do not take pleasure in writing poor reviews

The perfect hitch ball for smaller cars. Puts the ball in the right spot.

I use this all the time and there is hardly a scratch on it. I am really pleased with the quality and durability

This item works great with my Curt hitch on my 2012 Hyundai Elantra. It keeps my trailer at the perfect height. No more dragging the trailer jack on the pavement.

Clean, simple, and strong. The conventional welded assembly is heavy and outdated. This hitch ball performs as well, is just as strong, and has less unused steel hanging off the sides.

Great hitch, application used is a Toyota Prius C pulling small trailer. Levels trailer out nicely. As always e trailer ships fast.

*Australian Accent* Haven't given a tow with er yet but this stinga looks right proper on the back of the Elantra. Gives a real mean look that keeps the bogans away!

Received order #xxxxxxxxx Mon. June 6. Empty box , just packing paper and plastic bag. Hole approx. 1 1/2" cut in one corner. Not getting anywhere via telephone.

I am sorry for this experience. We recently shipped you a new ball mount. How do you like it?

I love the aesthetic of these euro hitches.

  • What is the Tongue Weight of the Curt Class II Euro Style Drawbar # S45592
The maximum tongue weight of the Curt Class II Euro Style Drawbar # S45592 is 350 pounds, and the Gross (maximum) trailer weight is 3,500 pounds. This ball mount is intended to be used on a 1-1/4 inch Class II hitch receiver. Please check your vehicle owners manual, and your hitch specifications to make sure either the tongue weight , or towing weight of your system does not exceed the lowest rated component. I have included a video of this ballmount for your reference.

  • Fit and Compatibility of European Style Ball Mount with 2 Inch Hitch Ball
The European style ball mount like # C45592 will work well in place of the standard fixed style ball mount. These are normally only compatible with 1-1/4 inch receiver openings. You would follow the same rise sizes based on your needs. I've attached an article to assist. The biggest difference is the integrated ball and the lack of a drop. The standard fixed style mounts can allow the rise or drop to tow level. The European style is a cleaner look if you only will use the rise position.

  • How is the Rise Measured for Curt Euro Style Ball Mounts
On Curt Euro ball mount # C45592 we are measuring from the top of the shank to the point below the ball where it starts to go straight up and down. I have linked a video that should clarify this for you. Curt must be measuring to the top of the ball.

  • Does Coupler Latch Need Adjustment to Use Euro-Style Ball Mount Like # C45592
By 'clasp', I assume you're speaking about the latching mechanism on the trailer coupler. If your current coupler is compatible with a 2 inch trailer ball, it will operate just fine with the Curt Euro Style Ball, part # C45592. As long as the ball diameter is compatible with the coupler, you shouldn't need to adjust anything.

  • Can a Euro Style Ball Mount Work with a Class I Hitch Receiver
Currently, all the Euro ball mounts we currently offer are Class II rated. Any Class II rated Euro ball mounts like # C45592 will not fit on Class I trailer hitches unless it's a Curt Class I hitch. The reason is because Class I trailer hitches are tested and rated with specific ball mounts for the hitch and if you use a ball mount not recommended by the manufacturer will void the warranty. I included a informative article about ball mounts for you as well.

  • How to Select the Correct Rise or Drop for a Euro Style Drawbar on 2017 Subaru Outback
Thank you for the dimensions; you correctly measured from the ground to the top of the hitch on your 2017 Subaru Outback, though the other measurement is from the ground to the bottom of the coupler. Assuming your coupler is roughly 2 inches tall, from the ground to the bottom of the coupler would be approximately 18 inches. Since the top of your hitch is 15 inches, you need a drawbar that gives you about 3 inches of rise. For Euro Style drawbars rise is measured to the beginning of the...

  • What is the Ground Clearance with a CURT Trailer Hitch Installed on a 2012 Volkswagen Eos
I spoke with my contact at CURT regarding trailer hitch # 11090. What you can do is measure from the bottom of the vehicle frame straight down 8-1/2 inches. This is where the bottom of the receiver will be when the hitch is installed. So if you measure from that point to the ground (on level ground) that will give you the ground clearance measurement. If you used a ball mount with a 5 inch rise and a ball that is 2 inches tall, add seven inches to get a general idea of where the top of...

  • Curt Euro Ball Mount Recommendation with 1-7/8 inch Diameter Hitch Ball
Yes, Curt does have a Euro ball mount that has a 1-7/8 inch hitch ball. For that we have the part # C45571 which has a rise of 2-5/8 inches. Or for a rise of 3-1/8 inches you'd want the part # C45561.

If you happen to have a factory hitch on your 2018 Subaru Crosstrek that was Class II this would work but if you had a Class I 1-1/4 or a 2 inch hitch like the # 76209 we have as a fit for your vehicle it would not fit. We only offer 2 inch hitches for your vehicle like this one so if you have that size we have the part # EBMK4 which you might be interested in. • Trailer Hitch Recommendation for 2015 Mazda 3
I'm unaware of a Class II hitch available for the 2015 Mazda 3. A Class I hitch, like the Draw-Tite # 24914 would have a 2000 lb towing/200 lb tongue weight capacity. This hitch would handle a 1000 lb trailer with no problem, but since the hitch capacity is lower than the 2500 lb towing capacity of the vehicle, you'll be limited to the capacity of the hitch. I was unable to find reference to the 2500 lb towing capacity you mentioned. In the US version of the owners manual, Mazda doesn't...

This is because it offers a 2" receiver which will open the door up to many more options when it comes to hitch-mounted accessories like a bike rack or cargo carrier.
