All I really needed was the ball mount/hitch. The whole package was a little pricey but I figured I could use the other stuff (locking pin, hitch cover, storage case) anyway so I bought the package. The locking pin key broke after a week and I had to drill the lock out to remove it. Then I saw I could have purchased what I needed at my local auto parts store for about 1/3 what I paid for this. Definitely what I should have done. No problems with the actual ball and hitch though.
Easy to install. On the road some other KIA Telluride shouted at me about where I got the hitch. I shouted back etrailer.com and shouted that I installed it myself and it was relatively easy.
Great Product! It says 'Curt Towing Starter Kit for 2" Hitches - 2" Ball - 3/4" Rise, 2" Drop - 7.5K", but on the item itself there is no mention of a 3/4" rise.....is it, or not?
Does the job it’s made to do. Exactly as pictured and is great. It does take so getting used to putting the locking bar thing in and securing it.

Still working just as good. No issues, but do still struggle occasionally with the lock. But I would rather do that than have someone steal our trailer and or hitch!
Etrailer exactly matched up all my products for me, everything worked perfectly. the products are well made and A am impressed with the quality.
I recommend Etrailer to anyone looking to add accessories to their vehicles.
There were some UPS delivery issues, damaged in shipment. But, etrailer.com jumped right on sending out another shipment after it was apparent that UPS would not complete the delivery.
The installation took longer, maybe 1-1/2 hours, because I did not have all my tools ready and I was working on the concrete floor in the dark to outside with a portable shop light. Everything fit well and it looks great.
The 2" drop ball mount was the perfect height for my 2019 Toyota Highlander Hybrid. I love the look of the Curt black insert that makes the hitch looks like it belongs on the car, nothing embarrassing at all.
Anything negative? Maybe. The flat plate was a little difficult to hook onto with the UHaul safety chains on a 5x8 trailer. That's hardly a negative, though, and I wouldn't have spent more on another brand choice because of this. Happy happy!
Great fit and finish on this kit. So nice to be able to tow things with my Forester now. I thought I had an issue but figured out it was user error pretty quick, but only after I contacted etrailer for help. I heard back within 30 minutes of emailing and by that time I figured out my blunder. They were extremely helpful and responsive and were set on fixing the problem I thought I had. I have used etrailer for several different purchases over the past couple years and every time I have been thrilled with the service and the quality of product.
The starter kit provided just what I needed to begin towing. No rust either.
Excellent receiver kit! Combined with the curt trailer hitch and the oem Mazda trailer harness add on, this is legit!

I'm going to be moving soon and I have a new truck. I bought a hitch kit and extendable rear view mirrors for towing. They were well packaged and delivered quicker than I expected. Searching and ordering online was a breeze. My only complaint is the search filter. It is not very user friendly.
This kit has everything you need and more. I especially love the locking hitch pin. I use a lot of public boat ramps and over the years I have had my hitch stolen multiple times. With this locking pin, I wont have to worry about that anymore.
It’s nice to not need to torque the ball onto the hitch.
After a slight issue that was immediately identified by etrailer, they quickly resolved it, and I received everything in 4 days. Great customer service!
It’s as advertised, a hitch assembly. I do like the rubber hitch hole cover, it has a snug fit. The lock seems kind of weak at first use but I’ll give it time.
Product Review: all products arrived on time and in good condition. I have yet to inventory all the hardware but feel secure that all arrived complete. First time installing a hitch receiver went really well with the included instructions and videos. If I need to get another receiver this will be my place to go!

Hey neighbor! I just went out and double checked and the packaging will only list the 2" drop, but the ball mount itself does list both drop and rise information. If you do need to flip it to the rise position, make sure to torque the ball to 250 foot lbs.
