Ordered these replacement fenders for a customers trailer that was being sandblasted and repainted. They were an exact match to the original and fit up nice, had them welded on and ready for the blast and paint shop in thirty minutes. Shopping on the site is easy and shipping was free. PLUS PLUS in my book. Thanks 728345

I found this product to be exactly what I wanted for my canoe trailer re-build. I wanted the fender to have the back splash panel to keep items on the trailer from getting filthy in bad weather. The steel used could have been a heavier gauge, so that when welding, you would have to worry about burn throughs. The same could be said of the backing plate. I do wish they offered it with an optional mounting brackets. Aside from that, I must say I am well pleased with this product. 653759

Fenders were as expected. Welded the fenders to the frame and fastened the back of the fender to the side of the trailer. Solid! Very happy with the results. 608294

These fenders are solid and well built. 4 stars instead of five because I ordered a receiver hitch and it was packaged with the fenders and caused some minor cosmetic damage. I also added some welds to the back plate as it was minimally spot welded in only a couple spots. 677522

I think the fenders are fine . Seem to be well made and like how they look, unfortunately, I had to buy a third fender after I had a blow out on my trailer. Didn't fare to well when that happened at 60 mph. First picture is a before shot and the second is an after shot if you couldn't tell. 392702

As a "Hands on" guy, I was excited to open the boxes my trailer fenders were shipped in. Can you say Christmas? For some reason I was expecting them to be painted black--they weren't--bright shiny steel, heavy duty and well put together fender and splash guard too. When you purchase yours, don't forget to order two (2) brackets for each fender! Since I don't have allll the tools, I decided to tap the holes in the brackets and bolt the fenders to them. It'll do for a work trailer but for a fancy trailer, rivets--large rivets are most commonly used at the manufacturers. Two thumbs up, way up for price and quality. chowell53 562539

I used these to "mini-tub" my pro-touring project car. They worked perfectly for my needs. Well constructed and both were perfectly symmetrical. 639202

These fenders are heavy duty, rock solid, symmetrical fenders that made my refurbished trailer looking like new. A quick weld job, primer, and paint was all it took. 228771

Fenders started to rust a little bit already. I think its because I didnt paint them right. I just assumed I could prime them the coat them with my color of choice. I was wrong, oh well. Just used touch up paint and they look just as good as they did last year. Probably doesnt help the trailer is outside all year round either.

You can weld or bolt on these fenders. I’ve opted to have them weld by my local muffler shop, I used two jack stands on each end to place and level. I like them and I would recommend to others. 517200

Just received two fenders ordered on line from etrailer. The fenders were delivered on time as promised. The price of the items was very fair and the fenders appear to be of high quality in their construction. I am anxious to get them installed to replace the rusted fenders presently on the trailer. When the project is complete, I will supply photos. I would definitely order again from etrailer. 739076

Ask the Experts about this Redline Trailer Fenders

  • Dimensions of the Backing Plate on Redline Steel Trailer Fender F9X32-1RWB
The steel backing plate on Redline trailer fender # F9X32-1RWB is tack welded inside the rear lip of the fender. This backing plate, shown in the linked photo, does NOT extend all the way down to the very bottom of the fender. I went to our warehouse to measure this rear surface for you and on the photo I have indicated several dimensions that I hope will be useful to you.

  • Availability of 11 x 32 x 15 Inch Fenders for Single-AxleTrailer
We can come pretty close to those measurements, assuming that the 11x32x15 you stated meant 11 inches wide, 32 inches long and 15 inches tall. The fender you were looking at would work for you, but the Redline 16 Gauge Steel Single Axle Trailer Fender, part # F1075X32-1R measures 10-3/4 inches wide, 32 inches long and 15-1/4 inches tall and would come closer to the measurements you provided. These would work well for replacing your current fenders.

  • What is Safe Distance to Keep Between Trailer Tire and Fender
We recommend having about 4" of clearance height-wise to account for suspension movement and at least 2" width-wise between your tire and trailer fender or trailer frame for trailers with 3,500 lb axles like what you have.

  • How to Determine Proper Spacing Between Tire and Fender for Clearance on 3000 LB Trailer
Great question. As a general rule, when your trailer is loaded to it's full capacity, there should be a minimum clearance of 3 inches between the top of your tire and the underside of your fender. This should give you adequate clearance for potholes and bumps. If you want to get precise, on an underslung trailer (the springs are mounted under the axle), you should measure the distance between the bottom of your frame and the top of your axle. Add two inches to that measurement and you...

  • Tire Inside Clearance from Side of Trailer for Torsion Axles
You will want 6 inches between the hub face where the tire mounts and the frame. That will most of the time give you about 2 inches between the tire inside sidewall and the frame. That allow for the suspension movement and to still remain inside the fender like # F9X32-1RWB.

  • How are the Steel and Diamond Plate Trailer Fenders Measured
When measuring our Steel and Diamond Plate trailer fenders we measure overall width, overall length across the diameter of the fender (across the bottom where it would set on the floor) and overall height. So the 16-Gauge Steel, Single-Axle Trailer Fender, item # F9X32-1RWB, is 9 inches overall width, 32 inches overall width across the bottom and 15 inches overall height. All of our fenders are measured in the same way.

  • What Are the Dimensions for Trailer Fender # F9X32-1RWB and How is it Measured
The 16-Gauge Steel, Single-Axle Trailer Fender # F9X32-1RWB is 9 inches wide measured from outside edge to outside edge. It is 32 inches long from outside front edge to outside rear edge (at the bottom of the fender). And it is 15 inches tall measured from the very bottom to the very top. So if it was sitting on level ground, from the ground to the top most part of the fender would be 15 inches.

  • How To Install the Redline 16-Gauge Steel Single-Axle Trailer Fender # F9X32-1RWB
The Redline 16-Gauge Steel, Single-Axle Trailer Fender, part # F9X32-1RWB, is a weld-on application for single axle trailers with 14 inch or 15 inch tires. It comes with a pre-installed back plate. It does not require an installation kit. This fender is built with 16 gauge steel and when installed properly would be able to hold quite a bit of weight. Stepping on the fender would not be a problem, but it is not really designed for somebody to stand on it.

  • Could The Redline 16-Gauge Steel # F9X32-1RWB Be Installed Using Bolts Instead of Welding
If you wanted to use bolts to attach these Redline Trailer Fenders, part # F9X32-1RWB, to your trailer instead of welding it you could. As long as you used enough bolts to secure this fender to your trailer you would not have a problem using bolts to install it instead of welding. I would recommend you use Loctite Threadlocker 242, part # LT37477, on the nuts and bolts to help prevent them from vibrating loose and causing the fenders to detach from your trailer while driving.

  • Trailer Light Fuse Blows After Tail Light and Wiring Harness Install
The incorporation of LED lights would not cause a fuse to blow as they will draw less power from the vehicle's trailer lighting circuits than incandescent lights would. Since you mentioned that you just installed a new wiring harness and tail lights that would be the first place I check as you most likely have a wire shorted out which is then causing an overload on the circuit. The first thing to do is check that you have the grounds secured for both the tail lights and the trailer connector....

Untreated metal requires primer to seal from exposure before paint as well. Best option will be to go with an oil based, rust inhibitive primer.
