Hi there, I'm Michaelwith each etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a quick look at this weld-on steel hinge. This hinge is gonna providesupport along the length of your metal door or gate. It can also work great fortrailers, barbecue pits, electrical boxes, or machinery doors, as well as many other applications. Basically your only limiting factor is the fact that it isa weld-on installation. So you are gonna have toattach it to a metal surface.
But because that weld-on design is going to ensure a nice strong hold, it's gonna be great foryour heavy duty applications and permanent installation. So we'll do a really good job for you. Of course, a very important component, making sure that this is gonna work for your desired application is the size. So you can see if we don'tinclude that grease zerk there, our total length is rightabout 10 1/4 of an inch. If we do include the grease zerk, it's right at what Iwould consider 10 5/8, just shy of 10 3/4 of an inch long.
And then our width, we're gonna have a couple ofdifferent ways of measuring. You can see this does havekind of an angled portion here that's gonna give us thoseflat sides to weld in place. So if we measure with that angled portion, our width is gonna beright at 1 1/2 inches. If we rotate that to notinclude that angled portion, we're just over an inch, about 1 1/8 of an inch in diameter. This does have a nice steel construction.
So it is gonna be very durable. You can see we've got this 19 millimeter or 3/4 of an inch diameter pin here. We also have our brass bushing. It's gonna be very corrosion resistant to be sure that our hingewill function properly. But of course, then we alsohave our grease zerk on the end.
That's gonna make it very easy to pump some grease in there to ensure that ourhinge is well lubricated and it's going to be pivotingwithout any resistance or getting bound up or anything like that. So really nice option here if you are looking for a prettylarge weld-on steel hinge, I've just over 10 inches, about 10 1/4 inch withthat grease zerk there. So I'll make sure that that's gonna work for your application, but if it does fit the widthand the length and everything, this is gonna be a reallynice option for you. These are really nice hinges. Very sturdy and heavy. I did have issues with the shipping of these where the shipping packaging was not durable enough for parts not to fall out. Etrailer did take care of the shipping problem, and got me replacements.

I have found ETRAILER.COM to be an excellent company to deal with. I ordered a hinge that was shown to have a delayed delivery and the contacted me to see if I was interested in something similar with faster delivery, though I declined. The hinge I ordered came in with in the expected time span and is exactly what I wanted. Unlike a local company that assured me they had the part I wanted and after an hour drive, they only had something close. the customer is not always right, but good customer service is really important and these guys knocked it out of the park as far as I'm concerned. Home run.
