Hi there! I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a quick look at this weld-on aluminum hinge. This hinge is gonna provide support along the length of your metal door or gate. It's also gonna be great for your trailers, barbecue pits, electrical boxes and machinery doors. Basically, your only limitation is that because this is gonna be welded in place, you are going to be limited to attaching it to metal surfaces, but because it is gonna be welded on, it's going to ensure a nice strong hold for heavy duty and permanent applications. So, of course, one of the most important parts about deciding if this is gonna work for you is to know the measurements.

So, you can see here, our overall length is just shy of four inches or at about three and 15/16 of an inch long. Our width is going to be determined on where you measure it, because you can see, we do have this kind of triangular shape here that is going to create these flat sides for us to weld this in place. So if we measure with that triangular portion, our overall width is gonna be right at three quarters of an inch. If we rotate it so that that's not being measured, our overall width is about 5/8 of an inch. This does pivot on a 3/8 of an inch diameter or about nine and a half millimeter pin here.

We also have a stainless steel bushing that's going to be very corrosion resistant and to ensure that our hinge is going to be able to pivot and function properly.
