Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a quick look at this weld-on aluminum hinge. This hinge sits at right at 3 and 3/16 of an inch in its main body. You can see we do have that grease cert on the end there that's going to make the overall length about 3 and 1/2 inches. We do have this kind of a point in here.
that's going to provide that flat side on both sides that we can get this welded in place. So if we measure with that point, we're right about 5/8 of an inch in width. If we rotate so that that point's not sticking out, our width is right about 1/2 inch. So this hinge is gonna provide support along the length of your metal door or gate. Uh, it's also going to work great for trailers, barbecue pits, electrical boxes, and machinery doors, as well as many other applications.
Because it is a weld on installation. you are going to be limited to attaching this to metal surfaces. But like I said, we do have those nice flat sides there so that we can get this welded in place. Uh, it is designed to ensure a strong hold for a heavy duty permanent application. So it will do a great job of providing that hinging option for you on those metal doors and such.
Because this is an aluminum construction on both of our end pieces here, it is going to be very corrosion resistant. Our inside pin is a 5/16 or about an eight millimeter pin. The pin and our bushing are both stainless steel. So again, they are going to be very corrosion resistant. Um, that bushing is going to make for a nice smooth operation.
But again, we do have that grease cert on the end there that's going to help get this lubricated so that we can make sure that we have a nice, smooth operation for our hinge. So very easy to get grease down in there without having to take the whole hinge apart. And just hook up our grease gun, squirt a little grease in there and it will help to lubricate that. So really a nice option if you are looking for a 3 and 3/16 inch long aluminum weld-on hinge. This is exactly what you're going to need. That's gonna complete our look for today. Thank you for your quick response to my phone call. Yesterday I received
the hinges for the trailer. The claim from the USPS was that the package
was damaged during shipping. I find it odd since the so-call damaged parts
never arrived but I did receive the empty package the part was shipped in.
I guess they needed the part.

Quality hinges I used on an aluminum gate. Weld on hinges work well and can be easily greased. As always fair price and quick shipping from etrailer.
nothing is perfect, but these did a great job of repairing the barn door on my dump trailer, wish this had been done when the previous owner tried to repair it. It's fine now.

I have found ETRAILER.COM to be an excellent company to deal with. I ordered a hinge that was shown to have a delayed delivery and the contacted me to see if I was interested in something similar with faster delivery, though I declined. The hinge I ordered came in with in the expected time span and is exactly what I wanted. Unlike a local company that assured me they had the part I wanted and after an hour drive, they only had something close. the customer is not always right, but good customer service is really important and these guys knocked it out of the park as far as I'm concerned. Home run.
These are really nice hinges. Very sturdy and heavy. I did have issues with the shipping of these where the shipping packaging was not durable enough for parts not to fall out. Etrailer did take care of the shipping problem, and got me replacements.
Received the hinges but brass bushing was not included. Was hoping to complete a project week I was in town but can't due to missing pieces.
Fast, reliable and exactly as the pictures showed.
