Hi there I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a quick look at this steel weld-on hinge. This hinge is right at three and three 16th of an inch long, if we don't count that grease zerk there, if we do count the grease zerk, it's right about three and a half inches in overall length, our thickness is going to depend on where we measure it. You can see, we do have this pointed portion here. That's going to allow us to have these flat sides to weld this in place. So if we do include that portion, our thickness is right about five eights of an inch.
If we rotate it so that portion is not included, we're right about half inch in thickness. This hinge is going to provide support along the length of your metal door or gate. It can be used for trailers or barbecue pits, electrical boxes, and machinery doors, all that sort of stuff. It's going to do a great job of allowing you to pivot. Obviously you will probably need more than one hinge, but if this is a replacement for you, this is going to do a great job.
You are going to be limited of course, to metal surfaces so that you can get this welded in place. But that weld-on design is going to ensure a nice, strong hold for your heavy duty and permanent applications. This is constructed of a nice durable steel, and so it will hold up really well for you. Our bushing is a brass construction, so it's going to resist rust and corrosion. Our pin here is a five sixteenths or about eight millimeter in diameter.
So it's going to allow us to rotate both sides along that pin. And of course, we do have this grease zerk, which is going to make lubricate, lubricating our hinge very, very easy. Just hook up our grease gun to it, give it a squirt, and that grease is going to go into that channel and allow that hinge to be nice lubricated, so we don't have to worry about any friction of building up causing binding or anything like that. So if you are looking for a three and three 16th inch long steel weld-on hinge, this is going to be a great option for you. That's going to complete our look for today.

I have found ETRAILER.COM to be an excellent company to deal with. I ordered a hinge that was shown to have a delayed delivery and the contacted me to see if I was interested in something similar with faster delivery, though I declined. The hinge I ordered came in with in the expected time span and is exactly what I wanted. Unlike a local company that assured me they had the part I wanted and after an hour drive, they only had something close. the customer is not always right, but good customer service is really important and these guys knocked it out of the park as far as I'm concerned. Home run.

These are really nice hinges. Very sturdy and heavy. I did have issues with the shipping of these where the shipping packaging was not durable enough for parts not to fall out. Etrailer did take care of the shipping problem, and got me replacements.
