Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a quick look at this weld-on aluminum hinge. This hinge does measure right at 5 15/16, just shy of six inches long. That is just the main body here. If we include the grease zerk, it's right about 6 5/16 of an inch long.
We do have this pointy side here that's going to create these two flat surfaces for us to weld this in place. If we include that in our width, we're looking about one inch thick. If we rotate that so that it's not included, we're about 3/4 of an inch in overall diameter. This hinge is going to provide support along the length of your metal door or gate. It can also work for your trailers, barbecue pits, electrical boxes, machinery doors, and lots of other applications.
Because this is a weld-on installation, you are going to be limited to working with metal surfaces, so just keep that in mind. But because this is going to weld on, it's going to give you a nice strong, heavy-duty, permanent hold for your applications. And like I said, you are gonna have those flat surfaces on both ends, so that you can get this welded in place pretty easily. Our ends are constructed of aluminum, so they are going to resist rust and corrosion. Hold up really well for us.
Our pin is a half inch diameter, about 13 millimeters in diameter. And our bushing here, both are stainless steel so that you, again, have a lot of corrosion resistance. That bushing is going to allow us to operate our hinge without any friction. It's gonna allow us to move our hinge nice and smoothly. But then we also have that grease zerk on the side there that's going to allow us to very easily hook up our grease gun, pump some grease in there and lubricate the hinge, so that it is going to be a nice and smooth operation for us.
So, if you are looking for a just shy of six inch long aluminum hinge to weld on for your application, this is gonna be a great option for you. That's gonna complete our look for today. Again, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Thanks for watching.

Receiver what I ordered but the grease fitting was busted.

Thank you for your quick response to my phone call. Yesterday I received
the hinges for the trailer. The claim from the USPS was that the package
was damaged during shipping. I find it odd since the so-call damaged parts
never arrived but I did receive the empty package the part was shipped in.
I guess they needed the part.

Quality hinges I used on an aluminum gate. Weld on hinges work well and can be easily greased. As always fair price and quick shipping from etrailer.
nothing is perfect, but these did a great job of repairing the barn door on my dump trailer, wish this had been done when the previous owner tried to repair it. It's fine now.

I have found ETRAILER.COM to be an excellent company to deal with. I ordered a hinge that was shown to have a delayed delivery and the contacted me to see if I was interested in something similar with faster delivery, though I declined. The hinge I ordered came in with in the expected time span and is exactly what I wanted. Unlike a local company that assured me they had the part I wanted and after an hour drive, they only had something close. the customer is not always right, but good customer service is really important and these guys knocked it out of the park as far as I'm concerned. Home run.
These are really nice hinges. Very sturdy and heavy. I did have issues with the shipping of these where the shipping packaging was not durable enough for parts not to fall out. Etrailer did take care of the shipping problem, and got me replacements.
Received the hinges but brass bushing was not included. Was hoping to complete a project week I was in town but can't due to missing pieces.
