Hello, everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this 72-inch long, 3-inch wide steel piano hinge. Now, this hinge will provide a nice sturdy, continuous support along the length of your cabinets, your door or your panel. This is great for oversized doors, trailer doors, entrance doors, and what's nice is this will provide more support than multiple small hinges. It is a nice continuous design. Reduces stress on the hinge when used with heavier doors, and it does rotate about 270 degrees.
Wanna zoom in and show you right now, basically you can see if we extend it back it goes about 90 degrees back. And then if we swing it all the way around the other way, it'll go about 180 degrees that way. So in total, it rotates about 270 degrees for a nice full opening and closing motion. It is a durable steel construction. So you would get this open again, there we go.
It does use an unplated mill finish to it, and this is a weld on or bolt on installation, now the bolted on it will require drilling holes into the hinge. This part is made in the USA. I want to give you some specs on this, we'll zoom back out so we'll give you the length. We do the length on this from one end to the other. It's going to be right at 72 inches, so roughly six feet in length.
The width of it at the widest point when it's in the open position. So the open width you can see, let's zoom in so you can see it, you got the widest point, so if we measured that it's going to be writing at three inches wide, but knuckle length, each one of these is a knuckle. So if we've measure the length on those and see its gonna be right at about two inches with the knuckle length and the pin diameter. In other words, the pin that goes through those knuckles that hold these hinges together. Diameter on that pin is gonna be a half an inch.
And again, you can see it rotates. But that should do it for the review on this 72 inch long by three inch wide steel piano hinge..

I didn't use these for a trailer but I bought these to cut down and make hinges for armored vehicle doors and hinged windows. Very heavy duty and priced well. Difficult to find hinges, happy they were available through here.
I have ordered this product twice. For what I am using them for is outdoor aluminum door. They work great for this application.
Great customer service, first package was lost during shipping and within 5 days of notification I received a new package.
This hinge is heavy duty. We have had no issues with the door sense installing. If in need to get rid of hinges that keep getting bent, this might be the hinge you are looking for to do the job.

Still working great. Heavy duty hinge. I would think I will see many years ahead with no issues.
