Very quick delivery. We received the product yesterday and my wife and I assembled it today. Very easy to put together using the instructions provided. Looks very well built and I feel it will work as needed to move our three small trailers. I feel the only thing that could/should be improved is the packing around the ends of the metal pieces that fit against the outside of the box. There were three holes in our box, but none of the pieces were actually damaged. 655319

I have a 16 foot enclosed trailer that is approximately 6 ft wide. I have customized it with diamond plate and there's a whole bunch of stuff in it. I was going to purchase a $580 geared trailer Dolly because I was afraid that I would need assistance moving my trailer. I went with this product, and guess what it really works. I don't know what people are complaining about, there is only about 4 nuts and bolts that are required to put this thing together not including the ball which easily attaches. I literally had this thing together in less than 10 minutes. I did everything hand tight then I took two sockets to tighten on each side of the nut and bolt. I used the trailer dolly for the first time tonight after inflating the tires. I used my Harbor Freight air compressor I put in between 38 and 40 lb on each tire. I was able to easily move the trailer which was quite shocking to be frank, Plus I was able to easily maneuver the trailer as well. I live in a manufactured home park so I am parking my trailer which is about 8 feet high on my carport. I have a three-car carport and putting my trailer on the carport in the first position saved me about $100 per month in storage fees. I will have to move my trailer each time I want to use it with my RV to go on an RV trip with my motorcycle. This trailer dolly is without a doubt without equal as far as cost benefit. Now I do have an inclined portion of my carport from the street in the manufactured home park. I did need my wife to push of the back of the trailer because my trailer is very heavy to get it onto my carport. Once it got to the level area I was easily able to move the trailer on my own. I do caution you that if there's going to be an incline you are probably going to want somebody behind you pushing the trailer if it's as heavy as mine. I am very happy with my purchase and I highly suggest that you get one yourself. My trailer does have a 2in hitch so I am going to be putting a 2-inch ball on my trailer dolly just to ensure that it is locked in. With the one and 7/8 ball with a 2-inch hitch it does come out even with the latch down. Balls are very cheap at other stores 458879

The MaxxTow Trailer Dolly with 1-7/8" Hitch Ball - Black Powder Coated Steel - 600 lbs does a wonderful job. Before I purchased it, I was concerned that having the hitch ball above a single axle would yield a situation where it was unstable (as indeed it would be if you lifted the handle significantly and then let go). In usage, however, I observed no such instability. It is well engineered such that one can pull the trailer and then lower the handle and it will remain in a safe position. The materials are quite strong enough for the job; I observed no straining or bending of the ball supports nor axle. The pictures show it attached to our partially loaded utility trailer. The trailer is 1200 - 1500 lb and the motor generator inside is 1200 lb. The dolly allows me to move the trailer inside our building without running an internal combustion engine and fouling the air. On the road, with the utility trailer as a second towed vehicle, it will allow disconnecting the utility trailer from the first trailer and moving it out of the way to allow backing the first trailer. 306417

I ordered a trailer dolly and the product was delivered as scheduled. A few days later, (when the weather got better), I was able to use the dolly and move my trailer - by myself! I didn't have to depend on other people to help me push the trailer. The product and the deliverly was excellent! 123260

Wow! What a coincidence! I just came in the door to relax and decided to check my email. In fact, I was outside for the last half hour using the trailer dolly.I had to turn my tent trailer around so that the hitch would be facing the street and I was using the trailer dolly. The dolly made my effort flawless and I did it by myself, without any help! Thanks for a good product.

10 years I have pulled and push my pop up trailer in and out of the yard. Had a hard time steering it because of the front caster moving in different directions. This dolly changed al that. Steering is easy and more accurate. Can move the trailer with ease. Built really well. Only thing that I did was change the ball to 2” 855895

I like this dolly. It's made with quality materials. The large pneumatic tires make moving the boat easier. After one summer next to the boat in a drysail area there was some rust developing so this past winter I repainted and also used a rust converter. This dolly is head and shoulders above most of the other dollies in the drysail area! 822549

Works great with a pop-up camper going up a small slope. Originally using the small wheel on the front to move camper around in driver way, didn’t work so well hard to push and move around. This dolly makes maneuvering much easier and simple to push or pull. 821014

Bought this to move my 14 ft travel trailer around in my garage and it works great. I had to change the ball to match my hitch but that is no big deal. It makes it easy to move the trailer around as my garage has very limited side clearance around the trailer. Very pleased with the product and have recommended it to several of my neighbors who also own small trailers. It is great for maneuvering boat trailers also. 784631

I love this dolly - HOWEVER, the assembly instructions are almost non existent - just a very small diagram - thankfully, I'm pretty good at assembling things, but for someone who is not, it will be a problem. My main problem was the bolt heads and the nuts for the bolts are different sizes. I'm still giving this dolly a good rating because it is quality, and a great bargain. 729861

  • Recommended Trailer Dolly for Maneuvering 4,500 lb Trailer Into Storage Area
The MaxxTow Trailer Dolly with 1-7/8" Hitch Ball - Black Powder Coated Steel - 600 lbs # MT70225 is far too small an option for your trailer. This style tow dolly has a max weight of 600 lbs total weight so your 4,500 lb dry weight is far exceeding capacity. The CE Smith Heavy Duty Trailer Dolly with 1-7/8" Hitch Ball - Black - 700 lbs # CE27550 is the only one rated for tongue weight and that would work, but you would most likely need a different hitch ball size. Due to the size of...

  • How to Choose a Dolly for a Boat Trailer
In order to choose a tow dolly for your boat trailer, you just need to know the trailer's weight and the hitch ball size that its coupler takes. For example, the MaxxTow Trailer Dolly # MT70225 uses a 1-7/8" hitch ball and has a weight capacity of 600 lbs. The best option is the Trailer Valet 5X Swivel Jack and Trailer Mover # STC-V211 because it doesn't require a hitch ball, works as a jack, and allows you to use a crank system to more easily move your trailer. • Can I use the MaxxTow MaxxHaul # MT70225 to Move a 1300-lb Teardrop Trailer?
The weight capacity listed for trailer dollies like the MaxxTow MaxxHaul Dual Pull # MT70225 is almost always the total trailer weight. For example, MaxxTow states that this dolly should not be used with any trailers that weigh more than 600-lbs and this is the case with most trailer dollies similar to this one. We've personally used this on trailers that weigh more that 600-lbs and I honestly don't think your 1,300-lb tear drop camper will be much of an issue, but if you choose to...

  • Using MaxxTow Trailer Dolly # MT70225 to Move Pop-Up Camper
Moving trailers for short distances is exactly what a trailer dolly like the # MT70225 was designed for. According to MaxxTow, the dolly has a 600 lb capacity, which according to MaxxTow means the trailer can't weigh more than 600 lbs. The Rack 'em Trailer Dolly, part # RA20 would be a better choice. • Can a 2 Inch Trailer Hitch Ball be Mounted on the MaxxTow Trailer Dolly
You could put a 2 inch ball on in place of the 1-7/8 inch ball on the MaxxTow dolly # MT70225. However, it is not necessary. For a dolly, you do not have to have the same size ball as what the coupler on the trailer requires. That is why all the dollies that we carry have a 1-7/8 inch ball. Yes the MaxxTow Trailer Dolly # MT70225 will fit a 2-5/16 inch hitch ball.
