Simply slide the lock over your coupler, push the 5/8" diameter pin into the coupler's hitch ball recess, and push in the lock mechanism. Your coupler is now completely surrounded. The sturdy steel pin extends to the top of the recess, and the pin cannot be accessed while the unit is locked.

Can be keyed alike to match other Blaylock push-button locks.Went to use this morning and the unit wouldn’t freely insert over bull hitch. I then got a hammer and lightly tapped as far into place as it would go. The locking pin wouldn’t engage into ball dump. While I was jiggling the pin back and forth the pin holding the pin to the unit fell out ? It doesn’t for my hitch.
Heather A - 09/10/2020Great product well made and fits tight. Made specifically for bulldog type trailer couplers. Did read other reviews and a few people had to grind/file to fit properly. We too had to file the end of pin down slightly (took 5 minutes). No big deal. Makes for a nice tight fit.

Recently had a situation where a person drove through the gate at the horse boarding facility and had been tampering with trailers and had stolen items, but my trailer hitch with this trailer lock on it was not touched or messed with.
I was needing a security type lock to keep my car trailer from disappearing. It has a 2" bulldog hitch and this appears to be the best possible step to hang on to my property. I also added a helical anchor screwed into the ground to tie the trailer to the ground by using a lock through the safety chains. Sometimes you need all the help you can get !
I have a diamond c utility trailer with a bulldog hitch. The device will not go far enough on the for the pin to go in the socket. So now my trailer, atv and pull behind brush hog are sitting in a hotel parking lot without a fictional lock. Will be returning the product

I will have to modify my tongue to fit this lock but I do want to keep it because it seems to be a very heavy duty lock that could deter theft.

Tough lock. Works great after I cut about an eight of an inch out of the interior nose.
Bob F - 06/19/2018I feel that this lock is to loose. Does not fit my Bulldog hitch very tight. Way to easy to get a crowbar between it and the hitch.
had some trouble getting the lock on the tongue of the bulldog, used a brick to hammer pin in and it is locked for sure
