This lock fits 2" ball couplers without a lip. Examples of some of the couplers it fits are pictured below.
This coupler lock has a disc tumbler locking mechanism. Unlike locks that use vulnerable spring-loaded pins, this ultra-secure lock is bump-proof. The cylinder has a series of rotating discs that can be correctly lined up only when you turn the corresponding key. Two identical notched keys are included to operate the lock. Because these keys feature 1 of nearly a million possible key codes, it's extremely unlikely that another individual will have a key that can open this lock.

What's up everybody It's A.J, with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna be checking out this Amplock coupler lock, and it's gonna be a coupler lock that goes over your two-inch coupler. And it works with them when they don't have a lip. So you can see this one has no lip, no raise, or rolled, or flat lip here. So it's gonna slide over that and lock it up. Let's check it out.
So we're gonna take the ball, the first section, and just put it up there, it's gonna latch into place, you don't have to worry about holding that with your other hand, and we'll come back with this portion. We're gonna put this cylinder in this hole in the ball, slide into place on the bottom side. And the nice part is I don't have to have the key in place. I can just push that in, it's real easy to push, and now it's all locked up. Now, something you might be wondering is if I can just pull this latch, is it gonna pop right out That's not how it works.
It still stays in place, so you don't have to worry about somebody doing that, just to pop this back off. You see, as I move around, there's a little bit of a gap there on the back side. You're not just ever gonna eliminate that completely. But let me get a pry bar and see how much space is actually in there. So I can try and get in here on the side.
I can fit the whole pry bar in there and push on it a little bit. So there is room for that to get in there, but I think that this is pretty much there. It's gonna scare off anybody from messing with it, just to see this design, how everything's completely covered that, and the ball is up in the coupler, so you can't just get the pry bar easily up in there to throw anything. I think it's just gonna deter people just by looking at it. They're gonna move on to the next trailer.
Looking at the lock down here, I'm just gonna show you the cylinder lock. It's going to be really good because it's resistant to drilling or picking, or anything like that because of the way it turns and pops out. It's really easy to unlock it like this. This is in the unlocked position, and you saw earlier, it's just a push of button, even without the key. Let me pull the key out of there real quick. It's really easy to lock it right back up with an easy push of the button. I like that with the cylinder lock. Now that, in combination with the cast iron design outside here, you don't have to worry about the elements messing with this. It's not gonna rust or corrode, and it's gonna absorb a shock. So if somebody was gonna try and hit it with a hammer, it would absorb that hit and they wouldn't be able to do anything with it. The cast iron design is gonna be pretty thick, too. You can see looking on the inside the thick parts up there. So if somebody is going to try and cut it, it's pretty cut resistance in the first place. But if they tried it, it would take 'em a while and make a lot of noise, so I think they're just gonna move on and go to a trailer that doesn't have one of these. And the other thing we look at is, the current trailer you have, you might want to do some measurements. It's gonna have a maximum width of three and a half inches here on the inside, and then the maximum height will be 4 13/16. So just make sure your coupler is gonna work with this before you get it. Overall, I think it's going to be very helpful to have this on the front of your trailer, on your coupler. Like I've said a few times, people are gonna take one look at it, see all the coverage it has and the lock and just go, "I'm gonna go to the next trailer. I'm not even gonna mess with that beast." The lock is heavy duty and great. But it DID NOT work on my 2022 Jayco Micro. The lock mechanism needs to be about ?” shorter to clear the lower lip of the trailer hitch. e trailer wanted a 20% restocking fee plus for me to pay for shipping since I was outside my return window. The trailer was in for service so I could not test it out before the return policy ended. So I am either going to sell it or try to modify it myself.I would not buy it again for my 2022 Jayco.

This lock is a solid and hefty piece of equipment. Make sure to get the right model for your set-up. The width of the lip on my trailer was 3.75” and the lock fits like a glove.

I just got this new lock and have no long term experience. However, I have used and handled a lot of the so called locks on the market and I can tell you they’re cheap garbage. This lock weighs in at several pounds, and is a solid piece. The lock bolt action is smooth and comes with 3 keys. Installed on the trailer the fit is snug with no extra movement or sloppiness. I’m very impressed and feel good about this lock.

This is the best I've found for a 20K Demco coupler. Easy to install, proprietary keys, really really good quality.If you see how its designed and works it'll help understand the cost.If I had a claim w the piece attached to this coupler, at least the insurance co would see I made every effort to protect my asset.Buy Once cry once. If someone gets past this to get your equipment,there was not much you could do to protect it. etrailer has done well carrying quality equipment.zero complaints.

These locks are such heavy duty locks that when we lost the key to our first one, we had to hire a locksmith to get the lock off. It was no easy task even for him!
