Standard electric brake assemblies require manual adjustment of the brake shoes over time to provide longer-lasting and more efficient braking performance. With self-adjusting brakes, the brake shoes are always properly aligned, so there's no need to manually adjust the brakes after the initial adjustment. As a result, you get optimum performance without having to take the time to continually perform this type of maintenance.
These brake assemblies meet the requirements for certification by the Canadian Standards Association (CSA). The CSA creates standards, which when complied with ensure a safe and quality product. These brake assemblies underwent extensive testing to measure stopping distances when braking. These brakes have also been tested by QAI for braking performance in a complete automotive setup and under real-world conditions to provide the most realistic scenario for the everyday driver.
Each shoe on these brake assemblies is lined with automotive-grade friction material for improved stopping performance and longevity. The friction material is fully bonded onto the surface of the brake shoe. This lining is custom-molded for a perfect fit. The edges are tapered to ensure long-lasting performance. This taper, along with the circular grinding that the lining undergoes, helps to prevent cracking and crumbling. This durability helps to prevent mechanical lockup, which can occur when brake shoes are excessively worn or broken.
The friction material is also SAE-N certified, which means that it is an environmentally safe product that complies with California and Washington regulations regarding the composition of brake pads. As a result, this material not only provides high-performance braking that can endure the test of time, but it is also environmentally friendly and safe for use throughout the United States and Canada.

I installed these brakes on both axles both sides of a 35' tandem dually trailer. I've only pulled it roughly 5 times for about 200 miles total. The only issue I've had, is with the brakes cranked to "10" they still barely brake, won't even skid the tires on grass. Not sure how far you have to go before they are "broke in", otherwise they were an easy install with no issues.
Fast speedy process. Product matched right up. Would be 5 star except one units pad was chipped and cracked on the corner of the pad when it arrived. No internal bubble rap or paper was inside to protect pads during shipment.
Part is correct but very poor packing quality for the shipment leaves me worried about damage.

These brake assemblies where exactly what I was looking for. Because these are an odd size, my local supplier did not have them in stock and would have taken a week to get them and the price would have been double what I paid on etrailer

When I received the brake shoes, one of the shoes metal housing was bent and a portion of the break pad was broken. I needed the trailer for my business, so I bent the pad back in shape and removed the broken portion (1 inch) of the brake pad from the metal and used it.
Other than that, they were okay.
My order came very quick just with standard shipping witch was great. Down side was it was packaged very poorly. The box wasn't heavy enough for everything inside itso was coming apart when it was dropped off. There was very little packing inside so parts were bouncing around and into each other. Two of the 4 brakes had come apart so I had to reassemble them. Luckily no parts were missing. Took me 45 minutes to reassemble them. It all needed better box and sent in multiple packages.

Brakes worked well for the first ten months are so. The only complaint I have with this system are the magnets. Within the last month are so I’ve have to replace two of the magnets due to the wires on them breaking. I just think for the price of this system there should be better wires used.
My box was open and I had to put together 1 out of the 4 assemblies before I could put it on my trailer not impressed with the shipping box and when you spend $xxx on parts you would think it would be better packaged in a box

Out of the four kits ordered, I received one brake kit where the corner of the brake shoe was broke off (1inch triangle) and the metal part was bent. I had to have the trailer moving so I just broke the corner off the shoe off and assembled it.
Fits a large eeger beaver wood chipper that the dealer wanted over 900 dollars for the same thing. Etrailer always has what I need and is priced good, ships easily, and most times has it in stock.
