I was in trouble time wise to get my trail brakes fixed. I called Montrell at etrailer...He was extremely helpful to quickly process my order. The brakes came before the time quoted, and they were put on and done quickly. I will always start with etrailer when I need products that you have. Thanks to your company and Montrell.

I ordered 2 sets of 10" 2 1/4 electric shoes / self adjusting for my Jayco eagle. Received them about 5 days after i ordered them. have installed all but 1 on rear axle. They were very easy to install and wire. tested them today while burnishing them going to another park so far they work well. hope to finish the last on soon. I did replace all bearings and seals on each wheel as i was changing them out.

Review from a similar Nev-R-Adjust in Trailer Brakes

Everything fit just right wired up just fine takes a little while to break these things in but once they start biting they work really nice I did a little bit more than just replace the brakes I did the shocks, springs and equalizer then re-painted everything underneath too, pretty much rebuilt the entire suspension sure makes a difference. I'm including some before and after pictures here they're probably out of order but them's the berries folks !

Review from a similar Nev-R-Adjust in Trailer Brakes

Everything came and went on fine. check to make sure the shoes and adjusters are seated properly before installation. Mine weren't. One inner grease seal was damaged and I had to buy another one at the local parts store to complete my installation (hence the 1 star reduction). Note that the outer washer is not included with the hub/drum kit and you will have to reuse your old ones.

Comments
Thank you for your review. I apologize about the grease seal. Customer Service will be contacting you to remedy it.

Review from a similar Nev-R-Adjust in Trailer Brakes

I was replacing the 20 year old electric brakes on my utility trailer and choose the Dexter Nev-R-Adjust electric trailer brake kit. The non Dexter brand cost less but after adding shipping and adding the nut kit they were the same as the Dexter brakes with free shipping and the nuts were included with the Dexter kit. This was one the easiest projects I have ever done. I had recently replaced the bearings so getting the brake drum off was a breeze. I used butt connectors with the heat shrink insulation wot connect the power to the bakes. I had thought this would be a two day project but did both sides in about 3 hours. And best of all, the new brakes function as they should, it was like I did not have electric brakes before. Again an easy and well worth it project.

Comments
It has been a year since I installed the Nev-R-Adjust electric trailer brakes and they are still doing a great job. In October Hurricane Michael struck and I have used the utility trailer more than I ever anticipated and have had zero problems from the brakes. Moving equipment & debris became a daily task.

Review from a similar Nev-R-Adjust in Trailer Brakes

Don’t trust the website to be correct when you put in your camper, I have a 2018 Forest River rockwood freedom 1980 that if you read through the description far enough shows 2.25” width, but turns out I need 1.5” width. I didn’t realize this now I have to pay $[XX] to return my order & the smaller correct brakes are some how $[XX] more, I feel duped.

Comments
Im sorry to hear that you are having to go through the process of making a return. I wanted to share a link to brakes that fit the dimensions that you need. We will be working on updating the product page so that this gets taken care of. Thanks!

Review from a similar Nev-R-Adjust in Trailer Brakes

I ordered a new electric brake assembly #23-458 and 12" drum kit #K08-201-98 for a 5200lb Dexter E-Z lube axle. All parts arrived on time and were correct. Ordering through Etrailer was fairly easy once I learned to navigate their site because there are a few variations to the parts I specifically needed for my axle. It helps if you have part numbers for your axle to compare with the ones on their site. I would liked to have had a place to enter my axle type, number, etc. and just have all the parts available for it displayed. Or perhaps an online chat page with a sales rep would be great too. All and all, I highly recommend and will definitely use Etrailer in the future.

Review from a similar Nev-R-Adjust in Trailer Brakes

Made in USA product, first off. Form Fit Function, awesome. The product came lubricated ready to install with lithium grease on the friction areas. I ran these on my trailer for ten years. I never adjusted the brakes one time after the installation. I haul heavy, and often. These brakes are the best for your money. Etrailer is quick and courteous staff that changed my order over the phone per my request to add additional items to the order. This is an easy to wire in item. I solder in my connections, never had to go and do them again. Great part hope to get ten more years out of these ones too.

Comments
This product has been on my trailer for more than a year. They are broke in and stopping great. still no adjustment since the installation.

Review from a similar Nev-R-Adjust in Trailer Brakes

These brake assemblies were an exact fit for my Dexter Axle. The kit came with everything needed to change it out, including the bolts to attach the brake backing plate. Very straightforward instructions. Fast shipping. I would recommend E-Trailer for any parts.

Comments
I recently removed the brake drums to check the brake pad wear and found the pads to be wearing evenly and no adjustment was needed. Self adjusting brakes are the way to go as an easy upgrade to the brake system.

  • Replacement Brake Assemblies and Grease Seals for Dexter 4400 lb Trailer Axle
I'm assuming the hubs are used on a 5th wheel, is that correct? For a tandem axle setup, the combined axle capacity would be 8800 lbs. The remainder is carried by the rear axle of the tow vehicle, since the pin weight of a 5th wheel is typically 20% of the GVWR, the axles are properly rated for your RV. • Difference Between Dexter 3500 lb and 4400 lb Brake Assemblies
Actually, there's a little more to it than that. The magnets on the # K23-478-479 are a little different, but the primary difference is the mounting bolt pattern. On a typical 3500 lb brake assembly, the mounting studs will all be 2-7/8 inches apart on center. On the # K23-478-479 4400 lb brake assembly, the top studs are 2-7/8 inches apart, but the bottom ones are spaced a bit further apart to prevent a 3500K brake assembly from being used on a 4400K axle.
