Driver's-side and passenger's-side hydraulic brakes feature a single-plunger design. Galvanized steel resists rust, making the assemblies great for boat trailers. Mounting flanges have a 5-bolt pattern. Fit 14.5" to 16" wheels.

I did have a question. I ordered the setup for 6-7k axel but I found out my boat setup is probably closer to 4K. The surge controller said it was a 6.6k surge controller and that’s why I went with the heavier brake set up.
Will this be an issue at all as long as they fit? Or do I need to send them back for the smaller weight class.

According to Demco, as long as youre not exceeding the capacity of the brake assemblies, youll be just fine. No worries until you use them on a trailer heavier than their rating.

Well they last about two to three years max in saltwater even with fresh water wash down. The pads last just fine and braking performance is great. Wish they hardware and other components were more corrosive resistant.

- Why Are New Hydraulic Brakes Getting Hot and SmokingIt sounds like you installed the Demco Hydraulic Brake Kit # 23511-10 correctly but it is possible you may have adjusted them a bit too aggressively, as "slight drag" is subjective, of course. Otherwise there could be an issue with your drum assembly if it is on the older side. If the assembly is at all warped or slightly corroded that can be an issue. Another problem may be that the hub needs to be properly greased and the bearings packed with Bearing Grease # L11390 and a bearing packer...
view full answer... - Timbren Axle-Less System That Uses Hubs With 8 on 6-1/2 Bolt PatternSince you need hubs with an 8 on 6-1/2 bolt pattern, the Timbren Axle-Less Suspension System you would need to use is # TASR7KS01, which is rated for 7,000 lbs. The hubs that fit these Timbren's are the Dexter # 42866UC3-EZ, and the brakes to go with would be the Demco Galvanized # 23511-10, which are 12" x 2" and fit 14.5" to 6" wheels.
