Video Transcript for Review of etrailer Trailer Bearings Races Seals Caps - Bearings - 02475

Hello, everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at the replacement 02475 trailer hub bearing. Now, this is a replacement tapered roller bearing, fits the 8,000-pound axles, and it is designed for high-speed use. Now, the bearings are always stamped with an industry standard part number, and that part number, if you notice right here, is stamped on this one, 02475. Now, this will fit into a bearing race, and the bearing race that matches this, we do sell separately on our website. It goes by a part number of 02420.

Now, the critical measurement on this bearing is always gonna be the inner diameter, which is gonna be measured inside the inside. On this bearing, it's 1.250 inches. It is a stamped steel construction. And when this is installed on the spindle, it's gonna be lubricated with either wheel bearing grease or oil. But that's gonna do it for a look at this replacement 02475 trailer hub bearing.

  • Disc Brakes for Sundowner Toy Hauler With Lippert Drum 2420801
Hi James; Lippert wasn't able to identify the hub off of that number so I'm not 100% sure what bearing combination you have. It does look like it is an 8k hub with a 12" x 2" drum which isn't common. Another customer reported # 25580 inner and # 02475 outer bearings with some uncertainty but that would line up with your standard 8k bearing combination. Assuming that is correct, you can use the # KOD82FR if you're looking for a hub/rotor. If you want to use slip-on rotors you will need...

For your AL-KO 6,000 lb axles, you will want the Kodiak Disc Brake Kit # K2HR858AE that will fit the same #42 spindles used on that axle. This kit will give you the calipers, discs, and oil cap, but you will need to get the bearings and seal separately. For the inner bearing you will use # 25580, and you'll use # 02475 for the outer bearing. The seal needed is # RG06-070 sold in the pair. To verify this you can find the axle serial numbers and send that information to me so I can verify all the components are correct. Otherwise you can disassemble one of your hubs to verify your spindle measurements. Yes, The Dexter Electric Trailer Brake Kit - Self-Adjusting - 12 inch - Left Hand and Right Hand - 8K # K23-532-533-00 will work with your Hayes 8k 4 bolt axle. When it comes to getting the correct hub and drums you will have to first find out what your Inner and Outer Bearing numbers are on your current hub. The bearings should have an etched or stamped number on it. If you can not find the stamp you can measure the inner diameter of the bearings using The Digital Caliper # PTW80157....

Hello Darren. Thanks for reaching out, I can definitely help with this. To convert your 2024 Brinkley Z2900 5th wheel over to disc brakes, you will need a disc brake kit, a brake line kit, and electric over hydraulic actuator, and a breakaway kit for the trailer. Your tow vehicle will also need to be equipped with an electric trailer brake controller. • 2015 Palomino Sabre 36QBOK Brakes and Bearing Recommendation
I looked in several places online and couldn't get a definite axle capacity for your trailer. I'd assume it's a pretty high capacity since it's a tandem axle trailer that weighs 12k and has 3k of capacity. So most likely you have 8k axles like what the part # 8-285-11 hub fits which has bearing numbers # 25580 and # 02475 with grease seal # RG06-070. Then for brake assemblies part # AKEBRK-8. It's possible that your weak braking is due to a wiring or brake controller issue on the vehicle. If this is the case, changing out the brake assemblies on the trailer won't resolve the issue.
