  Sorry to hear about the K-Source mirrors # KS3891-2 not fitting well to the housing of your 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Due to the tapered size of the outer housing I can see how the straps aren't going to be as secure as you'd like. The best option would be the CIPA set part # CM11980-2 which would clip just to the top of the of the mirror housing which would eliminate any issues caused by straps or the shape of the mirror housing.   Since you didn't like the # KS3891 mirrors your next best option is the CIPA # CM11980-2 mirrors. We did test these on a JK, as shown in the video and picture, but not the JL yet. You need about a 1 inch gap between the top of the mirror face in between the black plastic housing for these to work. The CIPA custom mirrors you asked about, part # CM11550, definitely will not fit your JL. They're specifically designed for Ford F-150's from 2015-2019.
