What's up everybody It's AJ with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna be checking out this Bulldog Winch Recovery Hook. So it's gonna go in a two inch by two inch hitch. Let's check it out. A good reason to have one of these is just in case you get stuck or someone else is stuck, I'd much rather have this in your hitch. You can rely on this hook to know that nothing's gonna be damaged when you hook up your strap or your rope to pull somebody else out.
You don't want to hook up to your frame on your vehicle. It could damage your frame on your vehicle. So you'd rather have all that right here and this doesn't take up a whole lot of space when it's not in the hitch so it can be right in the back of your vehicle whenever you need it. Taking a closer look, we have the chrome plated hook here, then we have the catch that's gonna keep the cable or chain in place. You just push back on that like this, giving you space to run it through there and then you know that you're gonna be pulling on the hook so the strap's gonna come back like this and not be pulling on the catch.
So that's just gonna keep it within the hook. This is what it's gonna look like when it's not in the hitch. You see, it doesn't take up that much space if you we're throwing the back of the vehicle. Now it doesn't come with a hitch pin so you'll have to get one of those separately. Slide that in, run our pin and clip on the other side.
Now, if you're gonna pick up a hitch pin and clip, I would suggest looking into a locking one if you plan on leaving it on here all the time. If you plan on only using the emergencies, and you just throw it in the back of your car, you don't need to lock it up. Overall, I think it's a good thing to have just in case for emergencies, whether you need to help somebody else out or you're the one that needs the help, you'll be glad you have this so you can count on this rather than trying to find a attaching point underneath your vehicle. Well, I think that does it. Thanks for hanging out.
I hope this helped.
