I HAVE SPENT MANY HOURS HAND PACKING BEARINGS ON THE BOAT TRAILER. MY FRIEND GOT ONE (I LET HIM TEST IT FIRST) AND IT MAKES A QUICK JOB OF BEARINGS. I ALWAYS BLOW THEM CLEAN FIRST SO IT MAKES REGREASING EASIER. 604393

I wasn't a big fan of this product. I followed the directions and I ended up with grease packed on the outside of my bearings and none of it ended up on the inside where you need it. I tried it with 2 bearings and then gave up and packed the rest by hand. Next time I'll try on of the hand operated ones where the grease pushes from the inside out. I don't normally review products, but I was pretty disappointed with how this one worked. 407872

I have been in business for over 30 years and a hobby of mine is I look at different company operations thinking what could be done to improve their service and etrailer.com does it right. From tracking your order, emails and videos on products you just purchased. This allows you all the information you need to install you parts right the first time. Great Job! 497007

Would not buy again or recommend this to anyone. This thing is useless. Bearings are important and must be packed correctly. This does not evenly pack your bearings and you must still pack by hand after using this packer. 271724

This unit makes packing bearings incredibly easy. I would suggest using an electric grease gun though as it does require quite a bit of grease to fill the unit. 407391

  • Wheel Bearings, Grease Seals and Electric Drum Brakes for 2002 Fleetwood Pride 5th Wheel Trailer
  • We can help you with replacement bearings, grease seals and electric drum brakes for the 6K axles on your 2002 Fleetwood Pride fifth wheel camping trailer. The best value in a pair of self-adjusting 12 x 2-inch electric drum brakes that will work great on your axles comes from Axle Teknology kit # AKEBRK-7-SA. You will need two kits to have four new brakes, two left-hand and two right-hand. These have the common 5-bolt mounting pattern. When you wire them you can use either wire for...

  • Pre-Greased Replacement 5-on-5 Hub for 3500-lb Dexter Axle
  • You can confirm the weight rating of your Dexter axle by removing one hub and pulling its bearings. The included photo shows how part numbers usually appear on bearings. The specific bearings used will tell you the axle's weight rating. Just refer to the linked article that lists the bearings commonly used for various axle weight ratings. A new hub must use the same bearings as the original hub in order to fit on your spindles. A 3500-lb axle commonly uses bearings # L68149 and #...

  • Electric Hub and Drum/Self-Adjusting Brakes Assemblies Needed for Lippert 3,500 lb Axles
  • I do have a hub and drum/electric drum brake combination for you, but unfortunately the only pre-greased hubs that we have are idler hubs. I was able to verify with Lippert that the axle with the part V000378958 is a 3,500 lb axle. They were not able to verify the bearings and grease seal but typically a 3,500 lb axle will use an Innder Bearing # L68149, and Outer Bearing # L44649, andthe Grease Seal # 58846 that has a 1.719" ID and a 2.565" OD. If you can verify that this is the...

  • Can Marine Wheel Bearing Grease Be Used In a Utility Trailer
  • Yes, you can use marine wheel bearing grease in both your boat and utility trailer. It will not hurt anything at all to use marine wheel bearing grease in your utility trailer. The only real difference between the two greases is that the marine wheel bearing grease is much more hydrophobic so it repels water more effectively. However, marine wheel bearing grease is typically less cost effective than just standard wheel bearing grease which is why everyone just doesn't use marine wheel bearing...

  • Bearing Kit for Lippert 5200-lb Axle 121066
  • Your 5200-lb Lippert axle 121066 uses inner bearing # 25580, outer bearing # LM67048 and grease seal # GS-2250DL. For all of these you can use kit # BK3-300. I also recommend bearing packer tool # ALL647646 for a cleaner method of packing the new bearings with high-temperature bearing grease such as # L11380. Often a block of wood along with a rubber mallet are handy when installing a new seal into the rear bore of your hub. These items allow you to install the seal with less risk...

  • How to Identify Replacement Bearings for Tow Dolly
  • If you refer to the linked photo you'll see where bearing part numbers usually appear on such parts and this will help you with finding proper replacements. It is a very good idea to check the bearings and the grease seals on your 20-year-old tow dolly before making a long trip. It is quite possible that the grease in the tow dolly's hubs has dried out; and the rubber portion of the seals too may have deteriorated. Once you remove the bearings and inspect them you may find that they...

  • How to Identify Correct Replacement Bearings and Seals for Boat Trailer
  • Replacing your boat trailer's wheel bearings and seals is easiest if you pull one of the hubs and remove the inner and outer bearings and grease seal. The part numbers for these items usually appear as shown in the linked photo, and knowing the part numbers is the surest way to know you have selected the correct replacement parts. If you cannot get the part numbers please let me know and I will give you help with how to measure the spindles and hubs for the parts' sizes. We offer individual...

  • The EZ Lube spindle style with the grease zerk is designed for maintaining your bearings and not for the initial grease of your bearings. The best way to pack your bearings with grease is to us the Powerbuilt Deluxe Bearing Packer # ALL647646. • Replacement 5-on-4-1/2 Hub/Drums for Boat Trailer with 3500-lb Axle
  • Our replacement hubs come with new bearings, races and seals and selecting one is a straightforward process. To pick out new hubs for your boat trailer with 3500-lb axles you'll just want to double-check the bearings in one of your current hubs and choose a new hub that uses that same set of bearings; this ensures that they will fit your spindles. Most often hubs on a 3500-lb axle will use inner bearing # L68149 and outer bearing # L44649. For reference, the linked article on bearings shows...

  • Traveling with an extra set of wheel bearings (and bearing grease # L11380 and a packing tool # ALL647646) is not a bad idea at all, especially with a new-to-you trailer whose maintenance history may be unknown. • Is There a Risk of Adding Too Much Grease to an EZ-Lube Spindle
  • When you are replacing bearings you do want to pack them prior to installing the new ones into your hub. This ensures that the grease actually gets pushed completely into the bearings so that they work properly and don't overheat. You can use a bearing packer like part # PTW1218 or # ALL647646 to accomplish this. It sounds like you did a pretty effective job of removing most of the scoring but the concern is hidden heat damage to the spindle. This cannot be corrected by the emery cloth. If your bearings burned up then there is a chance the spindles could have been weakened. Either the spindles or the entire axle should be replaced.
