Video Transcript for Firestone Tubing Cutter Review

Today we're going to take a look at the Firestone Tubing Cutter, part number F9009. Here's what our Firestone tubing cutter looks like. Our tubing cutter is designed to cut 1/4 inch to 1/2 inch line or hose. When cutting the hose or line, the idea is to cut it clean and square with the line and also without distorting the line as it cuts. Keeping it nice and round for the push fittings is critical. As you can see here, the previous cut is not only jagged but it distorted the line.

By using our tubing cutter, it allows us to get a clean square cut on the line without distorting it. The razor blade, or cutting portion, is approximately 3/4 of an inch wide and it will allow us to cut up to a 1/2 inch hose which is a little more effort but gives us a nice clean cut. Even our customers agree giving us a five star rating for the ease and effectiveness of using the tubing cutter. There you have it for the Firestone Tubing Cutter, part number F9009.

This product is a huge ripoff. It would be way over priced at $2.00. Evidently it’s important to have a clean square cut on the air lines on the Firestone Ride Ride Air Bag System. It would seem to me that this flimsy, plastic product with a grooved razor blade should have been included with the system. 558852

Highly recommended to smooth out the ride. I have a 7, 000 car hauler and 12,000+lb 5th wheel. 35psi for the first and 50-60 psi for the second is all I needed. Made the truck level out and ride like a duelly (I have a '10 Ram 2500 srw w/ 6.7L). I'd recommend these to anyone pulling heavy loads. And when you're not, just back off the pressure to 15-20psi). 212598

I ordered the Firestone Ride Rite air suspension kit for my 2003 Dodge Ram 3500 2wd. My truck is equipped with the B and W turn over ball hitch. Shipping was on time as indicated in email. Kit arrived on time and complete including tubing cutter and T fitting I also ordered. Installation took about two hours,, I don't have a lift and used common hand tools. Fit was perfect, no clearance or other issues. Removal of Jounce bolts was the hardest part. Excellent product and service. Thank you Etrailer and we will do business again. 181443

  • Are Ride-Rite Air Bags and WirelessAIR Compressor a Good Choice for 2019 Ford F-150 That Tows Often
  • You have chosen well because the Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs # F2582 and Air Lift WirelessAIR Compressor System # AL72000 are exactly what I would have recommended for your 2019 Ford F-150 if you had written in and asked what the best option would be for your situation. The Ride-Rite are the highest-quality air bags on the market due to their construction; they have layered reinforced rubber which is extremely durable compared to other air bags and even have a lifetime warranty....

  • Troubleshooting Firestone Air Suspension System With Leaking at Tee Fitting
  • For your Air Spring Union Tee like # F3025-1 the only troubleshooting you can do is what you have already been doing. The Tee fittings simply use a compression so pushing into place is all that is required. The clean 90 degree cut is also all that is needed on the tubing. Then you use soapy water to check for leaks. The one thing that can be an issue is if the hosing is overly compressed when cutting like using a scissors for example. That is why the manufacturers make the tubing...

Some of the benefits of these air bags include: keeping your vehicle level when you are hauling a heavy load, improving steering control/balance, and reducing tire wear. The # F2299 air springs have a 5,000 lbs capacity with a double convoluted 4 ply design. The air can be adjusted between 5 psi and 100 psi. Firestone is a time tested brand that stands behind its industry leading air bags with a limited lifetime guarantee. This won't impact their capacity but will make a difference in how well they'll hold up to wear and tear. • Why Does Firestone Coil-Rite Air Helper Springs Come with 2 Air Lines
  • Well you would not want either bag to leak! But you can use a T-fitting to run both lines to one line and fill the bags at the same time. However, if you want to be able to level the vehicle side to side, you would need two separate lines which is why they come with one for each air bag. For a T fitting you can use # F3273-1. I also recommend a tube cutter # F9009 to get a nice straight cut on the air lines. A cut that is not straight is more likely to leak.
