With this affordable roll-up cover from Access, you'll never have to remove your tonneau to haul oversize items. Simply roll the durable vinyl top toward the cab of your truck and secure it with the strap-and-buckle system. In addition to being compatible with a variety of truck bed accessories - drop-in, under-the-rail and spray-on liners (or spray-in liners); bed rails; bed caps; tailgate protectors - the TonnoSport is super easy to install. Durable, aircraft-grade aluminum clamps secure the attachment rails to your pickup truck bed rails. The uniquely designed Tight Bite clamps feature specially cut teeth that seize integrated ridges in the rails, ensuring firm, superior gripping action. Once the rails are installed, the fabric cover simply rolls down, and either side attaches to the rails via secure, easy-to-use Velcro.
When the cover is completely unrolled, the trigger latch is engaged, securing the tonneau in place automatically. You can also lock the cover with the 2 slide locks for added security. Because the slide locks are along the sides of the tonneau, you can still open and close your tailgate without having to disengage the cover. Hi, everyone. It's Evangeline here at etrailer. Today, we're gonna be taking a look at the Access Tonnosport Soft Roll-up Tonneau Cover. This is an entry level tonneau cover from Access, and we're gonna take a look at the different specs, different measurements, different features, right here at etrailer. So, if you wanna protect your truck bed from the elements, let's say you have a lot of snow, you have rain, you have sun beating down, and you don't wanna mess up your bed liner, that's what a tonneau cover like this is for. It's also if you wanna protect the cargo underneath from those elements as well.
This is gonna be the entry level cover, though. So, if you want the more premium features, definitely check out the other videos of tonneau covers we have here etrailer for some of those more premium items. Access has a bunch of cool ones, but this definitely does check off most of the boxes you might be looking for. So hopefully this video will help you out with figuring is this gonna be the right cover for you, your truck, and your adventures. So even though it's the economy option, it's still a really good looking cover.
We have this installed on our Ram 3500, but this fits a bunch of other trucks as well. Definitely use our fit guide here at etrailer, so you can get the right fit for you and your truck. This is gonna be a low profile tonneau cover that's relatively easy to use. Check out my install on this Ram 3500, if you're curious about that process. So, a soft roll-up tonneau cover means you can roll the tonneau cover up and keep it rolled up, that way you can access your truck bed whenever you want.
So let's do that, and take a closer look at the different features. So this has a seam on the side, and notice how it is aligned and flush with our truck bed. Now, this is only on the sides of our truck bed. If you want the more premium Access covers, that seam goes all the way up, even towards the cab. This one has support beams made of aluminum.
Great, because it's lightweight, easy to maneuver. Also, this prevents people from pealing this up and accessing your truck bed from the side. Now, this is unpainted. I think it's perfectly fine, since it is made of aluminum, but some prefer the black finish that you can find on the beams of the other Access covers. The vinyl cover here feels very strong, feels durable. It is water resistant. Now this doesn't have any drain holes, things like that. So, you're gonna have to hope that if you have the tension tight enough, then it will just run off towards the sides. So, the differences between a soft tonneau cover and a hard tonneau cover, is that this can be punctured with enough force. So if you want to prevent theft in that area, that's when you start looking at the hard tonneau covers. Now, the perks of a soft tonneau cover, is its very lightweight, it's easy to install, and it doesn't take up much space. So, we saw earlier how it did not cover our rear window of our Ram 3500. A larger, or a hard tonneau cover sometimes either has a canister that goes underneath, or folds up to cover that window. So different pros, different cons. This does not include a locking mechanism. Once your tonneau cover is secured, you can then only access it by lowering your tailgate. So your truck itself is the lock for your tonneau cover. This is so lightweight, that even I can install it all by myself. It can get a little tricky on your longer beds, just because you have to have clamps just to hold it up in place, as you use the clamps included with the kit to tighten everything down. So, if those larger, hard tonneau covers, those canister tonneau covers, seem kind of daunting, because they require lifting and the weight or help of other people to lift the weight, this does not require any of that. It's super easy to do. So, my personal thoughts about the Tonnosport tonneau cover, is that if you're looking to enter into the world of tonneau covers, and you don't really wanna spend too much, 'cause you're not sure what type of cover you want, this is a great way to start. It checks off most of the boxes. It covers your truck bed. We have a nice seal on the edge. It doesn't interfere with your tailgate. Doesn't take up room behind your window. Things like that. Hopefully this video helped you out with the different pros, the different cons. I personally think that if you have a larger bed, definitely find something that's a little easier to use, 'cause it does take some time to unroll and roll this back up. For your trucks with shorter beds and smaller beds, your compact trucks, this might be a great option for you, for a quick and easy tonneau cover to throw up on there whenever you need it. This cover is for my second Tacoma based upon the great experience with the first Tacoma cover. Great price point. I replaced the previous cover material after 4 years of hard use in the Florida sun.
I bought this for my new truck because i liked it on my old truck, which the dealer threw in for me. I never had a problem at all. I self installed this in about an hour. Could do it again in about 30 minutes. Instant fuel saving and the truck rides more quiet. You will notice a difference when cover is rolled up. It easily handled a 30" snow load here in the northeast.
For the price and install time, I really like the cover.
After installation the fit was great.
The only thing is it wasn't very clear how to install the cab weather strip but I got it.
The customer service at eTrailer is absolutely outstanding. They have a great process other companies should follow. I reviewed all the applicable tonneau covers and videos for my 09 Dodge 3500 4x4 LB many times before I chose the Access TonnoSport Soft, Roll-Up. It had to be compatible with complete access to a tool chest & 5th wheel. Once I received the item, the directions described the pieces in "Access's" technical terms. Some pics were dark contrasted, hard to figure out, drawings would have helped. I made slight adjustments according to the troubleshooting page. Overall, pleased with product & the outcome.
This is a great tonneau cover. As advertised, it was easy to install. The fit is perfect. It keeps my truck bed dry and clean.

Tonneau cover was fairly easy to install. My Colorado has the factory bed liner. Some trimming of the liner was necessary in order for the cover’s rails to fit. I am very pleased with the cover.
However, the shipping was slow and I didn’t get any emails about when it was shipped until I called Etrailer to ask when it was being shipped.
Great cover and still looks and works like new a year later. Has handled long interstate drives without issue. I am happy that I was able to install this on my 2018 Tacoma and leave my rail accessories in tact, still giving me full access to the hooks in my rail when needed. It was also very easy to install by myself.
I ordered the Access Tonno sport soft rollup cover on 4/28/21 I received an email from etrailer indicating the cover would be shipped from their vendor probably in late May. I told them that would be OK.. I received the cover on 5/7/21. This was great since I would be out of town around that time in late May. I installed the cover and it looks great. Thanks etrailer.
The quality is ok for the money but the installation instructions could use some improvement. I tried to follow them and finally had to figure it out on my own. It could also use some type of seal between it and the front of the bed. I am sure the first rain its going to leak.
Ordered bed cover on Monday and received it on Wednesday. I couldn’t be happier.

I installed this on my 2023 Ford Maverick. Instructions could have been better, but it went on in about 30 minutes. It fits the Maverick very well - no gaps and closes firmly but easily. So far it has kept out a couple of heavy snowfalls and some light rain. Dead silent at 80 mph. It's a good cover for the price.
I am very pleased with my new Access Tonno Sport tonneau cover. I have owned Access products before and their quality is excellent. I had a factory GM bedliner in my pickup box, so I didn't know if I needed to trim some off in the front for the cover to fit properly, so I went to etrailer and watched the installation video. It was being installed in a pickup that also had a bed liner, so that answered any questions that I had. The install video was easier to understand and follow than the printed instructions that came with the Access cover, not that those were necessarily bad, but I was very impressed with the etrailer video.
The install was easy but because I'm 62 and I did this solo my back was sore for a couple of days after the side rail install. It's hard to get comfy lying on a bed when the eyesight ain't as good as it used to be.
But, parts quality seems solid and the final assembly look great.

I like the cover it functions very nice. Now for a 2014 Tacoma it is not a clamp on which was not shown, instead it came with a amended set of installation instructions.. Instead you had to unscrew the OEM tie downs on the rail. Then you lose the use of the rail tie downs also. Don't believe either of these was mention in the description while shopping for the cover. It did help empty the back seat of the truck which was good and keeps thing dry. In the instructions it should mention the use of pentration oil is highly recommended. Stripped out 3 of the eight screws, so I had to get a bolt extraction kit to get these out. So instead of a hour or so, with the issues it took about 5 hours to complete. Once it was ready to finally install it went together great, it is solid.
in service for one year so far and is working fine. this time of year it has to be tough enough for 1-6" of snow and it handles it great.
When this one wears out I will be renewing with same.
I have had this for 1 year and have had no wear or cosmetic issues at all, it looks as good today as the day I installed it. Installation was a breeze and I don't think anyone would be disappointed.
The cover could be about 3/4 inch longer in the front. There is not enough overlap on the front to put in a tall enough seal to keep the water from running in under the cover. I solved the problem with a 1/2 inch thick piece of poly sprayed with bedliner. Installation was easy but I did put in an extra set of clamps. The rails are 2 pieces and it comes with 3 clamps per side so 1 section only has 1 clamp. It probably would have been ok, but I know it is secure now.
Installation was quick and easy with no required drilling. The quality is very good and the fit is perfect on my 2020 F350 Limited Super Duty
Have had it for a year now and no complaints at all. everything still works as it did day 1. Very happy with the purchase

This is a confirmed fit for your 2023 Toyota Tacoma with a 6 foot bed. If you do not have a 6 foot bed, this will not fit.
