Platinum Plus Warranty with Roadside Assistance

This tire-and-wheel assembly comes with a Platinum Plus warranty that includes complimentary roadside assistance for 2 years. If your trailer has a flat tire, call the help line and a technician will come change out the flat tire with your existing inflated spare tire. The service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. In addition to the roadside assistance, this warranty also includes other benefits and services.

Beveled Stud Holes

The stud holes on this steel wheel are beveled to ensure that the wheel stays tight against your trailer hub. This also eliminates the need to constantly retorque the lug nuts.

Provider Radials with Automotive-Grade Tread

Provider Tread Vs Standard Tread

Unlike standard trailer tire tread, which has solid, continuous ribs, the automotive-grade tread on these Provider radials has ribs with breaks. These breaks allow water to run off to the sides. The Provider tread also has sipes. Siping is a process in which thin grooves (or sipes) are cut into the rubber of the tire. The grooves channel water away from the tread so that the tire makes better contact with the road. Both of these features greatly improve traction during wet, snowy, or icy conditions.

Provider radials are constructed with double polyester cords and double steel belts for increased durability and endurance. A protective layer of nylon is wrapped around the steel belts to help prevent tread separation. Provider radials are bake tested - a process usually reserved for automotive tires - to ensure that the rubber holds up over time.

Radial Tires vs. Bias Tires

Radial tire vs bias tire graphic

Radial ply tires are designed for trailers that are towed on the highway. The cords on a radial tire are positioned at a 90-degree angle to the direction of travel so that they lay across the width of the tire from wheel lip to wheel lip. This construction prevents the cords from rubbing against one another when the tire flexes, unlike the cords on a bias ply tire. As a result, radial tires have less rolling resistance and heat buildup, which leads to a longer tread life and improved steering at higher speeds.

Determining the Bolt Pattern

The first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes. The second number denotes the diameter, in inches, of the circle on which the bolt holes sit.

Bolt Pattern - Odd

To determine the bolt-circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes, measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first. (Example: "5 on 4-1/2" means 5 bolt holes with 4-1/2" measured to a point halfway between the opposite bolt holes.)

Bolt Pattern - Even

On wheels with an even number of bolt holes, measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the hole directly across from it. (Example: "8 on 6-1/2" means 8 bolt holes with 6-1/2" from the center of one hole to the center of another on the opposite side.)

Bolt Pattern - Side

Measuring the distance from the center of one bolt hole on the wheel to the center of a bolt hole right next to it can also help to determine the bolt pattern.

  • If D = 2-5/8", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 4-1/2"
  • If D = 2-3/4", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 4-3/4"
  • If D = 3", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 5"
  • If D = 3-1/4", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 5-1/2"

This one was very easy I found what I wanted and had it ordered so quick I thought I'd done something wrong, could not find anything so I ordered the tires on wheels I wanted..surprise, surprise they were on my porch the morning of the 3rd day, today. They are on my boat trailer ready for the 900 mile trip it is getting this next week. Very satisfied to say the least. 777251

Review from a similar Provider White Spoke in Trailer Tires and Wheels

Ordered radials to replace puncture prone bias ply tires after a recent flat - again. Tires arrived 2 days after ordering. Packaged well, no damaged, mounted and inflated. The tread looks like car tires and they fill up the fender well. I have a set of Providers on my travel trailer and they have performed well, hoping these will too. I only gave 4 stars because I have no basis to rate their performance but will check back later and share an update. 581195

Review from a similar Provider White Spoke in Trailer Tires and Wheels

Thank you Adam and Etrailer the tires were here in two days and we were told due to the holidays would be 5 to 7 days on free shipping. I was able to get tires on and camper moved before The Christmas holiday. Adam was very helpful and gave great advice I even asked about going up in size on the tires which would have cost more but he explained that would only be overkill. Most stores and dealers even local would have jumped at that and got the extra money. But an honest sell will always bring you back to spend money later because they are trustworthy. Thanks Adam I will come back to you for future tire needs. And the rims were great looking no chips or scratcher. 593402

Review from a similar Provider White Spoke in Trailer Tires and Wheels

This tire wheel and combo is hard to beat for the money. Two out of my four wheels had a couple chips in them on the edge from the mounting of the tires. No big deal, I touched them up. Was hoping my tires would be a little fresher. They were manufactured in China the 16th week of 2017, so a little over one year old. Not really a deal breaker for me. One other minor complaint is that only one of the four tires was mounted with the manufacture date on the outside. Again, not a deal breaker. As usual etrailer gave me great service and a great price. BTW, these are load range C tires. 539546

Review from a similar Provider White Spoke in Trailer Tires and Wheels

Recently bought a new cargo trailer. In researching trailers, I found that radial tires are better than bias ST tires. I also found that Provider radial tires come with a 2 year warranty. The C rated tire has 6 plys in the tread and is speed rated @ 85 mph. The speed rating, to me, is important because I usually only use the trailer on long highway trips at 65+ mph. A radial tire will run cooler than a bias tire will. With the speed rating it is nice knowing I have some reserve. Often times a bias ST tire is only rated @ 65mph. Etrailer had the exact same wheel and tire that came on my trailer. I ordered on a Sunday, shipped on a Tuesday, arrived in the middle of no where Colorado by noon Thursday. In a heavy cardboard box to protect both the wheel and tire. I have put 1100 miles (loaded heavy) on the tires and they show no wear. The trailer will always be loaded heavy and only used on long trips, thus a radial is the only way to go. 290412

I ordered this tire for a spare. It is still in the shipping box one year later. Have not needed it. The OEM tires show no wear at all, however only about 3k miles on them. Very pleased with service from the OEM Provider tires. Plus the service provided by etrailer.

Ask the Experts about this Taskmaster Trailer Tires and Wheels

  • Can Tire Size Be Increased with 3 Inches of Wheel to Fender Clearance
I'd say that 3 inches is the absolute minimum clearance you'd want to see between the top of the trailer tire and the underside of a fender when the trailer is loaded as it typically would be. If you go any larger in tire size, there's a real danger that the tires or the trailer itself could be damaged if the tire rubs too much on the fender. This could lead to an eventual blowout which is extremely dangerous if it occurs at highway speed. Your best bet would be to get the same tire size,...

  • Recommended Load Range Rating of Replacement Radial Trailer Tires Size 175/80-13
With a 2,000 pound trailer there's really no need to go with a D rated tire when the C tires are rated plenty high enough. I recommend going with the Taskmaster Provider tires. The C rated tires have a max capacity of 1,360 pounds at 50 psi. They also have a speed rating of 81 mph, which is higher than a lot of trailer tires, and include Taskmaster's Platinum Plus Warranty. The warranty includes 2 years of complimentary roadside assistance, among other benefits. We have a number...

  • Recommended Tire/Wheel Combo And Trailer Hub Wheel Studs To Replace Lug Bolts
We do offer trailer hub wheel studs that can work for you, depending on the thread size and length you need. I have attached a link to our product page for the wheel studs we have available. If you have a 1/2-20 bolt the replacement stud you need is part # 25-53. For a 13 inch tire/wheel combo I recommend part # A13RWSQ. This wheel has a 5 on 4-1/2 bolt pattern and has a 2.99 inch diameter pilot hole. The tire is a load range C tire and has a maximum load of 1,360 lbs at 50 psi.

  • Replacement Wheels and Tires for B78-13 Wheels on 1990 Tracker Boat Trailer
I'll start off by noting that your B78-13 tires with Load Range B are going to be 175/80r13 when using the metric measurement; and it sounds like you currently have hub-centric wheels. If you want to continue using hub-centric wheels, you'll want to use a digital caliper like the # PTW80157 to get a precise measurement on the center bore of the hubs on your trailer and match it with your new wheels. If you measure your hub bore and find that it is 2.99" (the smallest common size for...

  • Will a 175/80R13 Tire Fit a 12 Inch Wheel
A 175/80R13 tire will not fit a 12 inch wheel like you have, so if you want to keep the wheel, you will need a tire that fits a 12 inch wheel. Otherwise, if you are looking to upgrade the tire size, you will also need to replace the wheel. So for a 12 inch wheel, the tire you can use is the Taskmaster 4.80R12 Radial Trailer Tire # TT48012C, so long as its 990 lb capacity per tire is appropriate for your trailer. Otherwise, since it looks like you have a 5-bolt pattern, you can upgrade...

  • Recommendation for Upgrading to Larger Tires from 5.30-12 Tires on Trailer
As long as you have the needed wheel well and trailer frame clearance, there is no reason that you couldn't go to a larger tire size from your existing 5.30-12 tires. The next size up from what you have is going to be with an ST175/80-13 size tire. This tire size will have an overall diameter of 24 inches and a width of 6.9 inches. This is compared to the 21.9 inch diameter and 5.6 inch width of your existing 5.30-12 tires, which means that the top of the tire will be about 1 inch closer...

  • Recommendation for Replacing 20.5 X 10 X 8 Trailer Tires with Radial Tires
Upgrading your existing 20.5 x 8.0 x 10 (modern equivalent 205/65-10) bias tires to radial alternatives is a great idea, especially since you mentioned traveling through hot climates and presumably highways with the distance you mentioned. Radial tires will do a better job of flexing on the road, thus running cooler than bias alternatives to ensure a longer lifespan. There aren't any radial ply 10" trailer tire options available, so you will need to upgrade to a larger size as well....

  • Recommended Replacement Wheels and Tires for Tracker Boat Trailer
The B78-13 tires you mention convert to metric size 175/80-13. The 175/80-13 tires are available in three load ratings. B: 1100 lb at 35 psi C: 1360 lb at 50 psi D: 1610 lb at 65 psi You would choose the load rating based on the capacity of your axle. Two A rated tires would have a 2200 lb rating. You can go with tires that have a greater weight rating than your axle, but you will still be limited by the axle capacity. I'd recommend the Taskmaster ST175/80-13, part # A13RWSQ...

  • New Trailer Tires for a 1998 Coleman Mesa
B78-13ST tires can be replaced with size 175/80-13 tires. I recommend going with radial tires, which are ideal for towing trailers. These tires come in load range C (1,360 lbs at 50 psi) and load range D (1,600 lbs at 65 psi). Your tire load range should match or exceed your axle capacity. • Axle Recommendation for Small Utility Trailer to Gain Ground Clearance
For better ground clearance the Timbren HD Axle Less part # ASR2KHDS03 would work great as it has a 4 inch lift built into it and plus it doesn't have a cross beam like most standard axles so it has great ground clearance. For a hub you would want the part # 84545UC1-EZ which has a 5 on 4-1/2 inch bolt pattern. The part # A13RWSQ is a popular 13 inch diameter wheel and tire that would fit this hub.
