Ordered new wheel and tire for my tow dolly to use as spare. Retrieved info from Etrailer web site, placed the order, received confirmation and later same day got shipping info and confirmation. Next day got tracking and delivery info from UPS on delivery date and 4 days later package was on my door step. Thanks Etrailer for the for the great pricing, quick handling and free shipping, Not the first time I’ve used your site and won’t be the last. Thanks for the follow up, 100% satisfied. 524832

I own a camp trailer that was manufactured with the above listed tire, yet I was unable to find this same replacement tire at a reasonable price locally. I called every tire dealer that I knew in the local Albany N.Y. area, starting with local camper suppliers. Either they didn't have the tire or were charging what I considered to be an exorbitant amount. Some suppliers suggested I either buy tires with the rims or buy radial tires, of course I would have to buy a match set of two rather than one. As a last resort, I went on line searching for trailer tires and found etrailer.com. I called and Debora H. answered and handled my every question, completed my order and assured me all was right with the world. She promptly gave me an order number and an estimated delivery date. This employee treated me like I was her only customer for the day and I give her much thanks for her assistance. The delivery arrived a full day ahead of her estimated arrival and I had the ability to follow my shipment from their door to mine...how comforting to know their is a company of this caliber! I will continue to support this outfit whenever I can. As soon as I signed for the delivery with the UPS driver, I received an email from Patrick B. to ascertain if all went well with the shipment and if I was satisfied...once again, how can you not like to deal with folks like this? I have not used the trailer on the road, but I assure you, based on the original tires, I see no reason why I wouldn't be happy. I will agree with others that have commented on these tires...Keep the tires inflated to the camper and tire specs and check them regularly to obtain maximum wear. Thank to all at etrailer.com! 86691

This tire has operated exactly as expected with no maintenance except checking tire pressure before every use. I would buy another set of these tires when or if these wear out! Thanks again Etrailer and those employees associated with my purchase.

Service from Etrailer is excellent: courteous, efficient, and shipping was immediate. I use the Loadstar ST205/75D14 tire on a tandem axle open trailer. I think the tire performs well and is very reliable, but these tires do seem to wear quickly. 73400

Comments

ST or Special Trailer tires are built differently than tires for cars or trucks. If they are not kept at their full inflation pressure, their weight capacity s as pressure s and they will wear more quickly.Check the total weight of your trailer and make sure you are not over the weight capacity of the tires, or even really close to it. If so, you may want to look at going up to a load range D tire or keeping a closer eye on tire pressures.

I ordered a couple of these tires and they arrived 2 days later with just ground shipping. The tires were in a box and not compressed so will easily mount on the rim. The shipping tracking page had useful videos related to the product I purchased which I found a nice feature and useful. Taught me how to take all the measurements of a trailer rim for instance. Pleasure doing business with etrailer. 724501

My trailer came with the Loadstar tires and they were excellent for over 20,000 miles. I chose to replace them because we travel on long trips and I didn't want to risk a tire mishap while traveling. They had several thousand miles left on them when I swapped them out. The new tires now have over 8600 miles on them and have been excellent also; I'll likely buy another set after these wear out. They are quiet, ride smooth, keep their pressures, and wear well. I've had no problems whatsoever. 704909

The cheapest price that I found. Easy web page to navigate thru and find what I needed. The first two tires that I purchased came in the same box and were out of shape from possibly having items being stacked upon them. The garage had a little difficulty mounting them on the rims. Ordered two more tires a week later and they both arrived in separate boxes. Going to have them mounted today on the rims. 619993

When I first ordered the tires, I was informed they were back ordered and would be delayed for up to two weeks. Review from a similar Kenda Loadstar Bias in Tires and Wheels

I recently received my order from e-trailer. I ordered a Dexstar wheel, a pair of Kenda tires, a chrome when center cap, lug nuts and screw in studs. I read all the pertinent info supplied as well as check exactly the brands, sizes etc of the parts I was replacing. I was notified by email (from Phyllis) the day following the order placement that their was a shipment delay of the tires, I was supplied with equivalent tire replacements which could have been supplied to keep the order on time or wait a week and get exactly what I originally ordered. I waited and received everything faster then I thought it would have taken. Phyllis kept me updated every couple days on the order progress- so nice! I was a little unsure if the screw in studs would fit but ordered what seemed to be the best match (had to start somewhere & figured I could return if no fit) and studs and lugs fit as stock- exact matches. This was my 2nd order in two years and have had great customer service and better then stock replacement parts, certainly all for a cheaper price then I could ever find in NW Montana! Thank You all at e-trailer! 707543

Since i can not review product yet, all i can say is service and delivery was excellent. I still need to put some miles on the tires to answer to quality. I can say i am happy that the date codes on the tires was very recent as i have gotten tires that were already years old from other sources. Scott. 291438

As long as the wheels you have now are 5 to 6-1/2 inches wide (measured on the inside where the tire sits) then you could use this size. It will be 8.1 inches wide and 26.3 inches tall. This size is available in different load ranges (capacities) B, C, or D. The load range B, # AM1ST84, is rated for 1,430 pounds at 35 psi. The load range C, # AM1ST86, is rated for 1,760 pounds at 50 psi. And the load range D,...

  • The Kenda Loadstar ST205/75D14 Bias Trailer Tire, Part # AM1ST86, is not a one-time-use tire. It is specifically designed for routine use on a trailer and is not intended for use on other vehicles. This bias trailer tire is built with the stiff sidewall needed to support its Load Range C weight rating. It can carry a maximum load of 1760 lbs at 50 psi inflation pressure, making a set of these suitable for use on a 3000-lb-rated trailer axle. I have included a link to a helpful article...

  • Comparing Trailer Tires that Have R and D in the Size, Radial vs. Bias-Ply
  • The R and the D in a trailer tire size stand for radial and bias-ply. A radial tire flexes more than a bias tire, giving it better ground contact, traction, stability, and tread wear. A radial tire will normally run cooler than a bias ply tire, especially when the tire is under a load. A tire that runs cooler will last longer. For those reasons I would recommend an R tire over a D tire. The part # AM10235 should work very well for you.

For reference, the linked page displays all of our special trailer (ST type) tires in size ST205/75-14. • Can a Wheel that Fit a 205/75/15 Trailer Tire also fit a 225/75/15
  • In most cases a 225/75-15 tire will fit the same rim as a 205/75-15 but it really depends on the rim size. The 225 is designed to fit rim widths of 6, 6-1/2, and 7 inches and the 205 is designed to fit 5, 5-1/2, 6, and 6-1/2 inches. There is some overlap between the two sizes so if you have a 6 or 6-1/2 inch wide rim the 225 would fit. For a 225 the part # TTWTRTM2257515D would be a great option as it has an 81 mph speed rating whereas most trailer tires are only limited to 65 mph.

  • Can a Mix of Radial and Bias Ply Tires Be Used at the Same Time on a Trailer
  • It is not a good idea to mix tire construction types on a trailer. What you have now are bias ply tires and the ones you are looking to upgrade to would be radial tires. The different types can lead to uneven tire wear, tracking problems, poor ride quality, and excessive heat build-up for only some of the tires. Ideally you would change all of the tires at the same time. For an inexpensive radial trailer tire in size ST205/75R14 you can use # C20514C. It is rated for 1,760 pounds at...

  • Benefits of Changing to Larger Diameter Radial Trailer Tires on Travel Trailer
  • Changing to a larger diameter radial tire from a smaller bias ply type can offer several advantages. In general radial trailer tires run cooler than bias ply tires, especially when the tire is under a load. A tire that runs cooler will last longer. A bias ply tire has a stiffer sidewall than a radial, a feature that might be useful for off-road applications, but for highway operation a radial tire will flex more, and provide better ground contact, traction, stability, and tread wear. • The Kenda/Loadstar ST205/75D14 Bias Trailer Tire # AM1ST86 is rated for 65 miles per hour. You would not want to exceed the speed rating on a trailer tire because of heat. Trailer tires are built with a thicker sidewall to handle more vertical load. The thicker sidewall generates more heat compared to passenger vehicle tires, especially if under inflated. • Replacement Boat Trailer Tire to Replace 165R13 Size
  • You should have no problem going with a ST175/80R-13 over a ST165R13. The tire will only be about 10 mm's wider and 16 mm's taller. You might double check your clearances if they are close, but most likely you would have the necessary clearance for the additional width and height. For that you would want the part # AM10210.

  • What are the Correct Size Tires for the Dexstar Vintage Steel Trailer Wheels in 14 inch
  • The Dexstar Vintage Steel Wheel is a 5-1/2 inch wide wheel and will accept 14 inch bias ply trailer tires, in ST205/75D14 and ST215/75D14. In the ST205/75D14 tire size there are two load range tires available bias ply, # AM1ST84, load range B and, # AM1ST86, load range C. In the ST215/75D14 tire size there is one load range C tire available in bias ply, # AM1ST90. I provided a link to our Trailer Tire Sizing chart for you to review also. In the Chart you can compare all of the...

  • Black Steel Wheel and Baby Moon Hub Cap Recommendation for a 1966 Serro Scotty Canned Ham Trailer
  • I will start out with your original tire. I did some calculations and the overall diameter of your original 640/15 tire would be approximately 25.48 inches and the width would be 6.4 inches. The diameter of the older tire is most likely why, when the wheels and tires were replaced, someone went with a 13 inch wheel and tire assembly. Newer 15 inch trailer tires all start out at around 27 inches diameter which may pose a contact problem with your trailers fender wells. In addition 15...

  • Compatibility of Replacing a ST215-75R14 Tire with a ST205-75R14 Trailer Tire
  • Yes, the narrower ST205-75R14 tire will fit in place of an ST215-75R14, It is important for all of the trailer tires to be the same size and construction type (bias ply or radial). Using different sizes can cause tracking problems and lead to premature and/or uneven tire wear. Ideally you would replace all of the tires at the same time. There is a difference in width for the ST215-75R14 (8.4") # AM10234 and the ST205-75R14 (7.8") ex: # AM1ST86. You can replace all tires with the...

  • ST205/75r14 Trailer Tire Vs. a ST205/75D14
  • Long story short, yes you can. But going with the ST205/75R14 would be a better replacement than a ST205/75D14 because the R in the first size means it is a radial tire whereas the D in the second size means it is a bias ply. The main difference between a radial ply and a bias ply tire is how the tire is constructed. The cords inside a bias ply tire run at a 32 degree angle to the direction of travel, and the cords on a radial tire run at a 90 degree angle to the direction of travel,...

  • What Is the Difference Between ST215/75D14 And ST705/75D14 Tires
  • If you change from a tire like part # AM1ST90 which is a ST215/75D14 tire to a tire like part # AM1ST86 which is an ST205/75D14, the tire will be about 1/2 inch narrower and 1/2 inch smaller diameter. Both tires will perform well if they are properly inflated and if the trailer is properly and evenly loaded. Most trailer tires have a 65 mph speed rating. Exceeding this speed can cause heat to build up in the tire reducing the lifespan of the tire.

  • Recommended Replacement Radial Tires For Trailer With 195/R14 Tires Installed
  • You should be just fine replacing the 195/R14 tires you have on your trailer with 205/75/14 tires like part # AM1ST86 you came from, but I recommend using a radial tire like part # TTWTRTM2057514C. The difference is 10 mm for the width of the tire. Radials perform better on the highway and for the little difference in price I recommend radials over bias almost all the time. The # TTWTRTM2057514C is a 6-ply Load Range C tire with a maximum load capacity of 1,760-lbs at 50 psi. If...

  • Can 215/75-14 Tires Be Used To Replace 205/75-14 Tires On Boat Trailer
  • When changing tire size, the most important thing you need to know is the size of the wheel and if it designed to handle the different tire. A 205/75-14 tire like part # AM1ST86 will work on 14 inch wheels that are 5, 5-1/2, 6, or 6-1/2 inches wide. If you decide to change to a tire that is 215/75-14 like part # AM10229, this tire will fit wheels that are 5-1/2, 6, 6-1/2, and 7 inches wide. This is a load range C radial tire with a load capacity of 1,870 lbs at 50 psi. I have attached...

  • Recommended Tire pressure for LoadStar Tire on Pop-up Trailer
  • You always want to run your trailer tires at the max psi listed on the current tires. This reduces uneven wear and gives you proper traction and heat dispersion. If you don't run at that max psi on your tires you risk overheating and blow out, not to mention that your load capacity will not be the same as it is rated on that max psi when inflated cold (prior to your trip). The sticker on your trailer has to do only with the tires that came on your trailer and is not accurate based...

  • TrailerTire Load Range And Maximum Load Rating Explanation for a 2006 Skyline Aljo Trailer
  • On special trailer tires and light truck tires the Load Range B means it is a 4 ply rated tire with a maximum load of 1,430 lbs. at 35 p.s.i. A Load Range C means a 6 ply rated tire with a maximum load of 1,760 lbs. at 50 p.s.i. On the Loadstar ST205/75D14 Bias Trailer Tire, # AM1ST84, it is a Load Range B tire. That maximum load rating is per tire, so two tires on the same axle would hold 2,860 lbs. at 35 p.s.i. They also have a Loadstar ST205/75D14 Bias Trailer Tire, # AM1ST86,...
