The Loadstar is good tire for use on my boat trailer. They wear extremely well and have a good tread design. I got 11 years of light use on my last set and am only changing them out due to some slight sidewall cracking. A solid product! 451912

  • Recommended Replacement Tires For 205/80D10 Tires And Radial Option
If you will not be towing over 65 mph, then you can go with the Kenda Loadstar K399 Bias Trailer Tire - 205/65-10 - Load Range D # AM1HP54 and you will be fine. It is true that radial tires run cooler so if you will be doing a lot of highway driving, then it would be wise to move up to a radial and the smallest does require a 12 inch wheel. All of our 12 inch radial tires still have a max speed rating of 65 mph but will run cooler and have better traction on the highway. I recommend...

If the trailer's GVWR is 2,500 pounds you'll be fine with a Load Range D or E tire. A 205/65-10 tire with Load Range D like # AM1HP54 is rated up to 1,330 pounds at 70 psi and the E tire like # AM1HP56 is rated up to 1,650 pounds at 90 psi. Either of those will be fine.

  • Replacement Tire Recommendation for a Pop Up Camper with 20.5/8-10 Size Tires
The best recommendation I can make for you would be to get a load range E tire like the Loadstar K399 Bias Trailer Tire # AM1HP56. This will fit your rim and will have the highest load rating we offer in that size. We do not have have taller tire that would fit your rim, but the # AM1HP56 should work very well for you. I attached a couple FAQ articles you might find informative also.

  • Difference Between 205/65-10 and 20.5 x 8-10 Trailer Tire Sizes
The 205/65-10 and the 20.5 x 8-10 would be very close in size. Assuming that 20.5 is the diameter of the tire and 8 is the width. The Kenda 205/65-10 Bias Trailer Tire with 10 inch White Wheel, # AM3H390, for example, is 8.3 inches wide with a diameter of 20.5 inches. So it will be slightly wider than a 20.5 x 8. Even though it is such a small difference, I would recommend measuring for clearance on the trailer to ensure a proper fit. I have also included a link below on measuring a...

  • Trailer Tire Size to Replace 20x8-10 Tires
The closest match to a 20x8-10 tire that we have will be a 205/65-10. This size is 20-1/2 inches tall and 8.4 inches wide. They fit on a 6 inch wheel. It sounds like your 1997 Jayco used the old size 20.5 x 8 - 10 tires. With the new tire sizing, that means you will want to use a 205/65-10 tire. • Replacement Trailer Tires for Size 20.5 x 8 - 10
Those are some extremely old tires. We recommend changing them every 6 years or so regardless of tread wear. The metric size for your 20.5 x 8 - 10 tires is 205/65-10. Our most popular tire in this size is # AM1HP54. It has a load range D and max capacity of 1,330 pounds at 70 psi. If you'd like a higher rated tire we have # AM1HP56 with an E load range rated for 1,650 pounds at 90 psi. Both tires have a 2-year limited warranty.

  • Spare Trailer Tire and Wheel Combo in Size 205/65-10 with a D Load Range
We have several trailer tires and wheels in size 206/65-10. If you have a 5 on 4-1/2 bolt pattern, you can use # AM3H430. If you have a 4 on 4 bolt pattern, you can use # AM3H410. Both of these tire and wheel combos are load range D rated for 1,330 pounds at 70 psi. Trailer tires should always be inflated to their maximum indicated psi rating for best performance and longest life. • What Trailer Tire Size Can Replace A 195/70R14 Tire Size
The 195/70R14 tire is a passenger car tire size. A trailer should have a ST rated tire. which means it is a Special Trailer tire. The special trailer tire is designed with stronger sidewalls and can handle higher air pressures which are needed when being used on a trailer that is made to carry a load. A trailer tire will always need to be inflated to the maximum inflation pressure to be able to handle the weight capacity it is rated for. The 195/70R14 size has an overall diameter...

The Loadstar K399 Bias Trailer Tire, # AM1HP54, does not require an inner tube so you cannot use one with it. All of the trailer tires we carry are tubeless. A tubeless tire has a liner in it so it does not need a tube. If you were to try to use a tube you would be adding an additional liner and you would get heat build up twice as fast. If you have tires that require a tube then you just go by the size of the tire, the tube will have the same size designation as the tire. We do not...

  • Are 20.5 x 8-10 and 205/65-10 Trailer Tires the Same Size
Although I can't speak to why someone printed that on a tire, but the two sizes are almost exactly the same, so maybe it was an approximation by the tire manufacturers. Essentially you can swap the two out with no issue because a 20.5 x 8 -10 is 20-1/2 inches in diameter and 8 inches wide, while a 205/65-10 tire is 20-1/2 inches in diameter and 8.3 inches wide, so the difference is extremely slight. The tire should fit, but everything would sit a bit lower since the current tire is an 80 profile and the Loadstar you were looking at is a 65 profile. Your current tire, when new and properly inflated, would have an overall diameter of almost 23 inches. The Loadstar tire would have an overall diameter of about 20-1/2 inches.
