Bias Tires vs. Radial Tires

Bias vs. radial tire graphic

Bias ply tires are designed for off-road or agricultural applications. They are built with thick, durable nylon cords that are positioned at a 30- to 45-degree angle to the direction of travel. The layers alternate in a crisscross pattern, making the sidewalls stiffer so that the entire tire is able to flex easily. As a result, the tire provides a smooth ride and improved handling when trailering on uneven surfaces.

Tires were best price I could find, free shipping which is a rarity these days, and UPS delivery literally within days of purchase, even though a weekend online purchase. I installed the tires on my 2013 Yamaha G29 Drive golf cart on 10" Evader aluminum wheels. They look great and based on my trip to the golf course today they work great. I thought there might be some clearance issues but they fit very well. I like the larger tire size (20.5" OD) as they replaced 205/50-10 which has an OD of 18". This was my first experience with etrailer and the experience was 100% positive. Good prices and great delivery service--what else could you want. 165950

The tires have been in use for almost a year and the tread wear is negligible. I would give these tires and etrailer a 5-Star rating. Great service and great tires.

Very good service , excellent actually. The inventory on the website is easy accessible, order entry seamless. Further, the shipment was executed same day and all notifications were emailed to me. The tire showed up at my door in a matter of a few days in perfectly packaged. Also , the company immediately, followed with an email noticed of the delivery completion. • Can Loadstar K399 Bias Trailer Tire # AM1HP50 Be Used on Golf Cart
The Loadstar K399 Bias Trailer Tire # AM1HP50 that you referenced will work great as a replacement 205/65-10 tire on your golf cart. This tire is technically designed for use on a trailer, but this just means that it's sidewalls have a thicker construction to better support heavier weights. The Kenda brand is actually very popular for golf cart applications and it's going to work perfectly on yours. I have attached a customer-submitted review below for this particular tire that you...

  • Can I Replace 5.30-12 Tires For 20.5 x 8-10 Tires On Utility Trailer With Limited Clearance
Since you do not have much clearance between your existing tire and the trailer frame with the 5.30-12 on the trailer I do not recommend to use 20.5 x 8-10 tires because the section width is actually wider than the existing tire that you have on the trailer. The modern equivalent to 20.5 x 8-10 tires is a 205/65-10 and even at their lightest load range of B part # AM1HP50 the section width is still 8.3" compared to the 5.30-12 load range B part # AM10064 that is 5.6" section width. The trailer tires that we carry are rated for 65 miles per hour. Trailer tires should always be inflated to the maximum psi as indicated on the tire. Trailer tires are built with a thicker sidewall. A thicker sidewall can generate more heat but an under inflated thicker sidewall will generate excessive heat and cause a tire to fail. Trailer tire # AM1HP50 should be inflated to 35 psi. Having a trailer low to the ground makes the center of gravity lower and could be beneficial and lessening...

Also, there is no standard weight for a 205/65-10 load range b tire as it will vary from manufacturer to manufacturer.
