Now this tire has a computer-designed tread that'll feature a radial tire appearance with a bias tire durability. It is created specifically for light trucks and trailers. It does use an advanced rubber compound that gives longer tread wear and low rolling resistance and has a nice, flat tread profile to allow for increased towing ability. This tire does meet the DOT or Department of Transportation specifications. Now the tire size on this, which is right on the sidewall, 7.50-16LT. Ask the Experts about this Kenda Tires and Wheels
Do you have a question about this Tires and Wheel?

  • Will 7.50-16 Tires With on a 6 inch Wide Wheel
  • A 7.50-16 tire, like the Kenda Light Truck Tire # AM10430, fit with 16 x 6 inch wheels like the Lionshead Lynx # LHSL513. You will just need to make sure that you pick a wheel with the correct bolt pattern. The Lynx wheel that I mentioned has an 8 on 6-1/2 inch bolt pattern.

  • Recommended 16 Inch Trailer Wheel With 8 Lug Bolt Pattern
  • If the tire you have is a 7.50 x 16, like part # AM10430, the wheel you need is a 16 x 6. We carry several wheels that have an 8 on 6-1/2 bolt pattern that will work with the 7.5 x 16 tire. I recommend a wheel like the Taskmaster Steel Wheel, part # TTW66865WS569D. This wheel has a capacity of 3,750 lbs and a 5.12 inch pilot. I have attached a link to our product pages for the tires we offer and also to the wheels we carry that will work for you.

  • Similarities and Differences in 235/80/16 tire vs. 7.50-16 tire
  • Tire sizes 235/80/16 and 7.50-16 are very similar. One difference to consider is the rim they'll ride on. The 235/80/16 tire will fit 16 inch rims that are 6, 6-1/2, 7, and 7-1/2 inches wide. While a 7.50-16 will only fit a 16 inch rim that is 6 inches wide. There a product, like the Kenda # AM10430, you may can use with your current rims if you can measure them. Wheels are measured from bead seat to bead seat. Check out the video of the rim I've linked around the 1:00 mark to see it...

They're all 7.50-16LT sized tires at Load Range D, part # AM10418, Load Range E, part # AM10423, and Load Range F, part # AM10430. They're all 31.8 inches in diameter. The closest to 30 inches Load Range E tires we have to fit a 16 inch rim are part # TTWTRTM2358016E which are ST235/80 R16 and have a diameter of 30.79 inches and a maximum capacity of 3,520 pounds at 80 psi.

  • Difference of ST235/85-16 and 7.50-16LT Tire Sizes for Trailers
  • Tire sizes ST235/85 R16 and 7.50-16LT are very similar. One difference to consider is the rim they'll ride on. The 235/85 R16 tire will fit 16 inch rims that are 6, 6-1/2, 7, and 7-1/2 inches wide. While a 7.50-16LT will only fit a 16 inch rim that is 6 inches wide. If you want to know if you can use the 7.50-16LT, like the Kenda # AM10430, with your current rims you can measure them. Wheels are measured from bead seat to bead seat. • Load Range F Trailer Tire Availability
  • We have two Load Range F tires, but they are for 16 inch rims. We have the # AM10501 which is a Karrier ST235/85R16 Radial Trailer Tire and the # AM10430 which is a 7.50-16 LT sized bias ply tire. Without knowing what diameter rim you have it would be hard for me to know if these tires would work for you. Aside from an overloaded trailer tire there are other reasons trailer tires can fail prematurely. If a tire is underinflated it can fail prematurely. ST tires should be ran with...

  • We have exactly what you are looking for. I have attached a link to the 7.50-16lt tires we offer. All three tires we offer that size are manufactured by Kenda and vary by the load range. For a load range D tire I recommend part # AM10418. This has a maximum load capacity of 2,590 lbs at 60 psi. For a load range E tire I recommend part # AM10423. This has a maximum capacity of 2,926 lbs at 75 psi. And finally for a load range F tire I recommend part # AM10430 that has a capacity...

  • Rim Size Compatible with Light Truck Tire Size 7.50-16LT
  • The limiting factors for how much pressure any mounted tire can hold are the psi rating of the tire itself, of the wheel and of the valve stem used. In any mounted tire, the lowest-rated among these three items will determine the overall capacity. Trailer tires should always be kept inflated to the cold tire pressure indicated on the tire sidewall. Trailer tires should never be under- or over-inflated. They can deliver their rated weight carrying capacity and speed performance only when...

  • Replacement Tire Needed for 7.50-16 Size Tire
  • The heaviest load rating 7.50-16 size tire that we have is the Kenda Light Truck Tire K391M # AM10430. This has a load range of F (3,197 lbs at 91 psi) and fits 16" x 6" size wheels. Since you will be using this on a trailer and this product is for a Light Truck I highly recommend either finding a direct replacement for you current tire, or changing all of your tires out for a similarly sized tire that has a diameter close to the 31.8" of the Kenda # AM10430. The reason for this being...

  • High Capacity 16 inch Trailer Tire Recommendation for Farm Equipment Trailer

  • The only option we can offer you would be to replace the tires with a more common size as we do not carry any 8.75/R16.5 tires. The closet size we have for you is the 7.50-16LT for which I recommend the Kenda Light Truck Tire K391M part # AM10430. This tire measures 31.8" diameter x 8.4" wide whereas your tire measures 29" diameter x 9" wide. It has a load range F rating which is suitable for use up to 3,197 lbs per wheel. • Will Bias or Radial Tires Provide Smoother Ride for Stock Trailer
  • Since radial tires are more for highway use and bias tires have sidewalls that are more stiff for off-road use the Provider ST235/85R16 Radial Trailer Tire # TTWPRG235R16 is going to give you a much smoother ride quality than the Kenda Light Truck Tire K391M # AM10430. The extra flex in the sidewall of a radial tire not only helps to dissipate heat build-up but it also keeps the ride from being as bouncy as it would with bias tires. • What is the Modern Equivalent of a 6.50x16 Trailer Tire
  • There is not really an exact modern equivalent to a 6.50x16 tire. A 6.50x16 tire measures to be 6.5" wide. The closest tire size we have to that is a 7.50x16 which measures to be 7.5" wide. Therefore, a 7.50x16 tire will be 1" wider than a 6.50x16 tire. For this, I recommend using the Kenda Light Truck Tire K391M part # AM10430 which fits a 16" diameter x 6" wide wheel, has a 3,197 lb per tire capacity, and come with a 2-year warranty. As long as you have a 6" wide wheel and an additional...

  • We do have a 7.50-16 tire in load range F. It is Kenda tire # AM10430. This tire is rated for 3,197 pounds at 91 psi. However, 4 of these tires would have a total capacity of 12,788 pounds. If the trailer is loaded and weighs more than that then you are overloading the tires and they could fail. You could instead use ST235/85-16 tires in a load range G such as # TTWPRG235R16 which is rated for 4,400 pounds at 110 psi. Four of these would have an overall capacity of 17,600 pounds. Both...

  • Recommended Kenda LT Tires for a 1954 Ford 1 Ton
  • The Kenda Light Truck Tire K391M - 7.50-16LT - Load Range E # AM10423 will work for your 1954 Ford 1 Ton. The LT stands for Light Truck which are used on many trailers. That is the route I'd go and then have them balanced like vehicle tires instead of trailer tires. You can alternatively use the Kenda Light Truck Tire K391M - 7.50-16LT - Load Range F # AM10430 but in my opinion they would be a little to stiff for your truck.
