Ordered three tires. Super fast shipping and the best price anywhere. Buy with confidence. Going to put my new tires on the new wheels tomorrow! 431491

I shopped and found this was the best delivered price for tires of the correct load range. I bought five of them. A local retailer wanted more than TWICE the price, plus tax. The free shipping made a big difference. I felt the shipping was fast. I have not put them on the trailers yet, but I previously had the Load Star brand with good results. The tread seems shallow but I'm not likely to wear them out before they need to be replaced due to old age, as was the case with their predecessors. What I didn't like was the tires were shipped loosely in a large box, which was held together with large, long, sharp copper staples, which protruded inside the box. I thought the staples created a great risk of puncturing the tires during shipping. It doesn't seem like a good idea, nor did it work very well, as the box was falling apart when it arrived. Hopefully we'll find no punctures when I put them on the trailers. 572822

Ordered this tire for my trailer. Received this tire ahead of due date which worked out well for me. It was packaged well. Installed it on the rim the next day and worked out well, no problems. Would order from this site again. 473260

Product was delivered fast and as seen on internet. Still need to get them mounted but that shouldn't be a problem. Will add to this later after they are put into use. SPD 319207

Tires arrived as load star brand tires not Kenda. Customer service says they are made by Kenda but the tire doesn't say that. Tire looks to be Good quality. Pretty normal for these skinny tires, but the tires arrived smashed in making it harder to get the bead seated, installing to sell the trailer so can't report on longevity. 487215

A great replacement tire, it came as original equipment on my motorcycle trailer. Product was delivered on time,as promised! 25553

Very nice tire for being a bias ply tire even though they are imported. I have steel belt radials on my trailer now that are dry rotting from age and still have deep treads. Being that I tow it to Maine every year from PA. I don't want a tread coming off due to a cracked casing so I decided to buy Bias tires this time to save a few bucks as I know I won't wear them out before they dry rot again. My order was very quick to be delivered also and that is great. I found these same tires for less elsewhere but, the shipping was going to make them more money and I have limited funds to work with. :) 504712

Bought these tires for an old 4x8 utility trailer I'm rebuilding. Shipped quick and were packaged very well. Mounted these tires by hand. Because they are bias ply and quite narrow (made for a 4" wide wheel) they were a bit tricky to seat the bead. No fault of the tire. My wheels are are a bit wider, around 4.5"-5" wide. These tires ride well even without being balanced. They were an inexpensive option for my trailer that only sees light duty and short distance use. Cheaper and better quality than I could find locally. 140064

I needed two new tires to replace the ones that were dry-rotted on my utility/motorcycle trailer. They appear to be a well made tire with a nice tread pattern, also a "C" load rating. 629696

Took the tires off of the new rims and put them on the old rims, and now this will be my new spare tire. I was so hoping that the new rims would have fit but the hole was to small for my trailer. Delivery was prompt and excellent response. Thank you 615418

Ask the Experts about this Kenda Tires and Wheels
Do you have a question about this Tires and Wheel?

  • Tire Pressure in Kenda Trailer Tires Size 4.80-12
  • The Kenda 4.80-12 Load Range C tires, part # AM10062, should always be inflated to 90 psi when they're cold. Running them at a lower psi might make the ride less stiff but it also will compromise the integrity of the tire. Trailer tires are designed to always be run at maximum psi and when they aren't it causes varying stress on them, which can cause heat build up and eventually failure. If nothing else it will cause uneven treadwear and decrease the tire's lifespan. Instead of decreasing...

  • Comparison of Two Kenda Tire and Wheel Combos Part # AM30670 and # AM30790
  • Both tires # AM30670 and # AM30790 are Kenda tires but there are a number of differences. For starters they're different sized tires. The # AM30670 is a 4.80-12 sized tire and # AM30790 is a larger 5.30-12 sized tire. The latter being about 3/4 of an inch wider and over an inch larger in diameter. Also, they both have a C Load Range but the larger # AM30790 has a higher weight capacity at 1,045 pounds when inflated to 80 psi. The # AM30670 is rated up to 990 pounds at 90 psi. With...

  • Best 480.12 Boat Trailer Tire and Wheel Combo
  • I definitely recommend the Kenda brand because it is a time tested industry leader. I would go with one of the model tires listed below depending on your load range which is listed after the number (12) on your tires. Your load range is either (B or C) for this size tire. When you're ready for some new wheels, you'll need a 5 on 4-1/2 bolt pattern. The only 5 bolt pattern that is offered for this wheel size is 5 on 4-1/2. • Recommended Air Compressor for a Small 90 Psi Trailer Tire
  • The best portable air compressor we have to fill a small trailer tire like part # AM10062 to 90 psi is the Bulldog Winch Portable Air Compressor part # BDW41003. This compressor is actually rated to 150 psi and attaches to the battery via alligator clamps. The reason you will want at least a 150 psi compressor is because it would take ages to fill the tire to 90 psi with a 100 psi air compressor which is the next most common size. The alligator clamps will also allow the compressor to run...

  • Changing Out a 4.80/4.00-8 Tire to a 4.80/ 4.00-12 Tire
  • It is recommended that you do not want to see any less than 4-1/2" of clearance between the top of the tire and the underside of the fender. A 4.80/4.00-8 tire is usually about 16 inches in diameter when fully inflated. A 4.80/ 4.00-12 tire can be 20" in diameter. So as long as you will have at least 4-1/2" of clearance from the tire to the fender, you will be able to change out your tire to a 4.80/ 4.00-12 size. Keep in mind, if you are wanting a larger 20" 4.80/ 4.00-12 tire, you...

  • Availability of Replacement Radial 5.30x12 Tire for Boat Trailer
  • Kenda tires are made in Taiwan or mainland China, as are most trailer tires these days. We do not offer the 5.30x12 tire in radial, and in my research, I was unable to find that tire size available in a radial. This being said, we offer a ST145/R12 radial tire that is a close size match for a 5.30x12 tire. The tire is compatible with a 12x4 rim and would measure about 21 inches in diameter with a section width of about 5.7 inches. They will be about the same width as a 5.30x12 tire,...

A 4.8-12 trailer tire, like the Kenda K353 Bias Trailer Tire, # AM10062, is rated for 90 psi. You should always inflate a trailer tire to the max psi rating indicated on the tire. Please note though that using higher capacity tires will not increase the capacity of the trailer. For a load range C tire in size 4.80-12 you can use # AM10062. It is rated for 990 pounds at 90 psi. • Availability of a Size 4.80-12 Tire with a Speed Rating Higher than 65 MPH
  • Typically special trailer tires are usually rated to operate at a maximum speed of 65 mph and if you exceed 65 mph, heat could build up in the tire and cause it to break down and fail. The tire I recommend for your 4.80-12 size is the Kenda # AM10062 because it was designed for excellent handling at high speeds even though the speed rating is 65 mph. The load rating is 990 pounds at 90 psi. I included a couple informative articles for you too.

These would fit the exact same as your current tire with the only difference being that they have a higher Load Range. • What Does Trailer Tire Ply Rating Mean
  • When a tire is given a 'ply rating', it doesn't necessarily indicate the number of layers of material the tire is constructed of. As the need for greater fuel economy and the cost of materials rises, the tire manufacturers have gone to using lighter but stronger materials like Kevlar that provide the same strength that would have took several layers of materials years ago. Fewer layers also means less heat build-up, which is essential for longer tire life. All that really matters is...
