The old Kendra tires on my utility trailer had plenty of tread, but lots of sidewall cracks due to ~ 10 years of UV sunlight damage. If I get ten years out of the new Kendra's, I'll be very satisfied. . . . Why doesn't someone come up with a built-in "sunscreen" for tires? 80544

Review from a similar Kenda Loadstar Bias in Tires and Wheels

I recently received my order from e-trailer. I ordered a Dexstar wheel, a pair of Kenda tires, a chrome when center cap, lug nuts and screw in studs. I read all the pertinent info supplied as well as check exactly the brands, sizes etc of the parts I was replacing. I was notified by email (from Phyllis) the day following the order placement that their was a shipment delay of the tires, I was supplied with equivalent tire replacements which could have been supplied to keep the order on time or wait a week and get exactly what I originally ordered. I waited and received everything faster then I thought it would have taken. Phyllis kept me updated every couple days on the order progress- so nice! I was a little unsure if the screw in studs would fit but ordered what seemed to be the best match (had to start somewhere & figured I could return if no fit) and studs and lugs fit as stock- exact matches. This was my 2nd order in two years and have had great customer service and better then stock replacement parts, certainly all for a cheaper price then I could ever find in NW Montana! Thank You all at e-trailer! 707543

Since i can not review product yet, all i can say is service and delivery was excellent. I still need to put some miles on the tires to answer to quality. I can say i am happy that the date codes on the tires was very recent as i have gotten tires that were already years old from other sources. Scott. 291438

I'm Soo pleased with how good these tires perform. For years I just used old LT (light truck) tires on my trailer, assuming they were sufficient. These trailer tires give a much more confident and stable feel with towing. They were very affordable and , through some form of sourcery, etrailer fit them in a box to be delivered to my doorstep. 720568

I purchased Kenda 6 ply tires for a couple of trailers about a year ago and I've been happy with both sets. I've put plenty of miles on one trailer since I use it to haul my fishing boat. No problems at all. No flats, no rotting - tires look like new. I recommend these tires to all my fishing buddies. Any time spent on fixing a flat means less time fishing! 273070

Review from a similar Kenda Loadstar Bias in Tires and Wheels

This is the first time I have ordered trailer tires from Etrailer and I did not know what to expect with regard to service and product quality. The last pair of tires I had on my pontoon boat trailer were 185/80R13 Marathon tires but according to the specifications, the Etrailer 185/80R13 tires had a better load rating and higher safe speed rating than my old Marathon tires. My Etraier tires also have a 2/2018 date of manufacturing which was also a plus. 562575

I tried to buy these tires locally, but all the retailers either didn't have them or they wanted about 10 dollars more per tire than etrailer. One local tool and equipment dealer tried to get me to pay a recycling fee just to purchase the tires. The tires arrived in a few days and they are now supporting my boat. etrailer sent me notifications every step of the way, so I knew when my tires would arrive. I will definitely be buying all of my trailer tires from etrailer in the future!!! 650258

Do you have a question about this Tires and Wheel?

  • Speed Rating of 8 Inch Trailer Tires
  • We have several different tire sizes that fit on 8 inch wheels but they all have the same 65 MPH speed rating. They're all bias Kenda tires and I've linked video reviews of each of them for you. # AM10002 is 4.80/4.00-8 - Load Range B # AM10004 is 4.80/4.00-8 - Load Range C # AM40537 is 18x8.50-8 - Load Range B # AM10010 is 5.70-8 - Load Range B # AM10012 is 5.70-8 - Load Range C # AM1HP22 is 165/65-8 - Load Range C # AM1HP28 is 215/60-8 - Load Range D

  • Can I Install Tires with a Higher Speed Rating On a Coleman Columbia Camper
  • I do have replacements for you but the bottom line is you won't be able to install a set of trailer tires with higher speed rating on your camper without lifting it as you don't have the space needed for them. The speed rating for trailer tires does not increase from 65 mph until you get to 12" diameter wheels which you are not going to be able to fit on your camper as is. Therefore, your best option would be to just replace the tires you have now with the Kenda Loadstar K371 Bias Trailer...

  • Different Load Range Options for Trailer Tire Size 5.70-8
  • Load Range for tires is a way for the manufacturers to organize the relative weight capacities of their tires by size. Basically every tire size will have it's own capacity for a Load Range B for example but all that really matters is that the capacity of the tires is adequate for the weight of the trailer and it's cargo. In your tire size of 5.70-8 the Load Range B like the part # AM10010 is 715 lbs at 50 psi. If your trailer weighed less than 400 lbs roughly this would be adequate....

  • Differences Between Tires Sizes 4.80-8 and 20.5 8-10
  • The biggest difference between the trailer tire sizes 4.80-8 and 20.5 8-10 is that they are for different diameter wheels. You would not be able to swap between those two sizes without also swapping rims. The 20.5 8-10 has a much higher weight capacity, is much taller (little over 4 inches) and is much wider (also 4 inches). If you are thinking about going to this size you will need to make sure you have enough clearance. If you have a 4 on 4 inch bolt pattern you would want the #...

A 215/60-8 tire is about the same diameter, but has a wider tread width at 8.9 inches. Because of the increased tire width, you wouldn't be able to reuse your existing wheels. The part # AM10010 would be the best option in that size since it requires the least amount of tire pressure which means the tire would give a little bit more going over bumps.

  • The widest tire you can use on an 8" diameter x 3-3/4" wide trailer wheel is a 5.70-8 part # AM10010 which is 5.8" wide and will be about 1.2" wider than the 4.80/4.00-8 tire you have now.
