After having issues with the trailer tires on the trailer that I tow behind my touring motorcycle, I was pointed to these. I mounted them myself, used Dynabeads to balance them, and they went 2000 miles without a problem. Something the other tires couldn't do. Thank you for the recommendation. 680151

Speedy delivery and high quality products. I ordered the RV tire cover as well as 5 trailer tires. I had to replace the awful and extremely poor quality tires that came with the Farm-Tuff Utility Trailer — 2,200-Lb. Capacity, Model# 03813 wagon that i ordered from Northern Tool. 539421

Tires still in great shape, even having endured a long snowy mountain winter.

Tire arrived on time, and is excellent quality. It was impossible for me to mount on the wheel; one side was convex and the other concave, so getting rim contact to contain air promised to be a problem, but I could not even force one side over the wheel rim. Took the tire and wheel to a local tire business, and was fortunate to see it done. The burly operator was able to force tire on wheel, but couldn't establish rim contact. After a futile struggle he attached a VERY high pressure air tank and injected a blast of air that was more like an explosion, forcing the tire to balloon out and make rim contact. After that, no problem... 333840

I wore out 2 Carlisle tires on the other side of this trailer since I purchased this, so I bought 2 more matching tires with silver wheels and re"tired" this one to the spare even though it shows very little wear. Just wanted to change out the white rim. Only Loadstar from here on... 625465

Product arrived ahead of schedule. Very pleased with ordering, delivery and product. These tires replaced standard 2 ply tires on a small dump cart. The new tires are much stronger and should eliminate the constant flat tire problem. They are very stiff and will require proper equipment to install. I actually paid $5/tire for someone else to mount them, thereby saving my knuckles. 617485

I am very pleased with my tire order process, the speed of delivery, and the tires themselves. I used these tires as replacements for the original tires on my Triton LTX jet ski trailer. Exact fit and one load range better than I had. Very pleased. 509387

I love, love, love this trailer tire. I have purchased and installed six of these tires, on vintage Cushman 24volt Industrial Electric vehicles (3 wheelers) and they are a GREAT addition. Classic tread design, Art Deco, Saw-Tooth side-wall styling, and rugged tire design - a perfect tough tire that adds a great finishing touch to your vintage restoration project. 505189

I ordered 2 of these 6-ply tires from e-trailer in July '14 after I blew one of my previous 4-ply tires (different brand) and have had good luck w/ the Kenda's after approx 1,000 miles. These are mounted on a 1967 Cox Cadet pop up camper - approx 750 lbs. I just ordered 2 more for spares for a couple of long upcoming summer trips. The Kenda's seem like one of the better quality tires in this size that I've found out there. E-trailer service was fast, and for the first set purchased in July, I had e-trailer 2-day the new pair to my next RV campsite in Asheville NC & they were waiting for me when I arrived! 179613

  • Torque Spec for 1/2-20 Lug Nuts on 14 Inch Aluminum Boat Trailer Wheels
For the 1/2 inch lug nut # 12CLN-L and the 14 inch aluminum wheels you will torque each lug nut to 75 to 85 foot pounds. No lubricant is required. However, since this is on a boat trailer and the hub studs are likely raw steel a little lube would help keep corrosion at bay. There isn't a specific product I would recommend since they all do about the same job. If you need a torque wrench we have # ALL944001 which is a basic torque wrench rated from 10 up to 150 foot pounds.

  • Best 4.80-8 Trailer Tire for a Trailer Towed Behind a Motorcycle
First, trailer tires should be inflated to the maximum psi indicated on the tire. This is because trailer tires are built with a thick sidewall to handle more vertical load. If under inflated it will cause the thick sidewall to generate excessive heat and lead to tire failure. Without enough weight on the tires the trailer can bounce some. If it is feasible to do so add additional weight to the trailer to minimize that vertical movement. Kenda makes a good tire and for a 4.80-8 tire...

  • How to Find Correct Replacement Tires for 4.80 - 8 4 Ply Trailer Tires
Your 4.80-8 size tire is the same as a 4.80/4.00-8 size tire. If the tires and rims are all original then we know they're compatibe with one another so there's no need to measure anything. It also says you have a 4-ply tire which is Load Range B. The tire probably mentions a maximum weight capacity as well which is better to use than the ply rating. Look for this number and make sure the tires you get are rated or at least as much capacity as what you have. Looking at your picture...

It has an outer diameter of 16.1 inches and a width of 4.7 inches when inflated to 90 psi. If you want the wheel along with the tire, we have the 4 on 4 inch bolt pattern # AM30040 or the 5 on 4-1/2 inch bolt pattern # AM30060. These tires are rated for a max speed of 65 mph.

  • Can a 8 inch Trailer Rim and Tire get Replaced by a 10 inch Rim and Tire
When going to a larger trailer tire size the biggest concern will be that you have enough clearance above the tire for additional height. The height difference between the two sizes you have would be a little over 2 inches so you would have 1 inch less of clearance above the tire with the larger 10 inch rim. From the pictures you submitted I can see you have a 5 bolt pattern which would indicate that you have a 5 on 4-1/2 inch bolt pattern so a rim and tire like part # AM3H490 would...

The 18.5x8.5-8 is actually an old tire size that is not used much anymore. The closest metric size to your existing tire would be 215/60-8, which is what I would recommend. The 4.80-8 tire size that you are interested in is designed to fit 3-3/4 inch wide rims, whereas the 215-60-8 that is close to what you have currently is designed to fit 7 inch wide rims so I do not think a 4.80-8 would install on your rim. Plus the fact that the 4.80-8 has much lower capacity than the 215/60-8 tire...
