Limited Warranty with Free Tire Replacement

This tire has a limited warranty with free tire replacement on workmanship defects. You are eligible for this warranty within the first 12 months from date of purchase or the first 2/32" of usable tread, whichever comes first.

Goodyear Endurance Radials

This radial ply tire from Goodyear is constructed with double steel belts and triple polyester cords for increased durability. A protective layer of nylon is wrapped around the steel belts to help prevent tread separation and an inner liner made out of halobutyl rubber reduces air loss.

Goodyear Endurance Durawall Technology

This Goodyear Endurance tire was built with Durawall technology, which is used on a lot of Goodyear's light truck tires for severe, heavy-duty use. This technology consists of a rubber compound that reinforces the sidewall to help prevent cuts, punctures, and other damage. Furthermore, the tire has a scuff guard, which is the raised strip of rubber on the sidewall. This protects the tire from abrasion if you hit a curb.

Goodyear Endurance Tread

And unlike standard trailer tire tread, which has solid, continuous ribs, the automotive-grade tread on these Goodyear Endurance tires has ribs with breaks. These breaks allow water to run off to the sides. This greatly improves traction during wet, snowy, or icy conditions.

Goodyear Endurance Coupling Grooves

The tread also consists of decoupling grooves that run along the outer edges of the tire. These grooves help evenly distribute the pressure that is put on the tire from contact with the road. When this happens, the grooves wear out faster than the surrounding tread, which minimizes irregular wear, especially when you're towing. Additionally, these outer edges usually heat up more quickly than the rest of the tire, and these decoupling grooves help keep it cool.

Radial Tires vs. Bias Tires

Radial tire vs bias tire graphic

Radial ply tires are designed for trailers that are towed on the highway. The cords on a radial tire are positioned at a 90-degree angle to the direction of travel so that they lay across the width of the tire from wheel lip to wheel lip. This construction prevents the cords from rubbing against one another when the tire flexes, unlike the cords on a bias ply tire. As a result, radial tires have less rolling resistance and heat buildup, which leads to a longer tread life and improved steering at higher speeds.

Very pleased with the Goodyear Endurance tires. Put 10,000 miles on our camper and had no issues. Ride was smooth, couldn't tell the 35' camper was behind us. Big trucks did not sway the camper. We will purchase the same tire when we need to replace these.

Had to wait to get back in stock but price was better than everywhere else. Once it was in it shipped immediately. Really impressed with the tire so far as far as quality. Time will tell if it holds up better than the stock tires on the trailer.

Use these on a 28’ enclosed trailer, weighing around 8k fully loaded. Endured 4 years in the Florida sun and a good amount of miles before one let go on the highway after hitting some debris. etrailer is where I will always buy my basic trailer items. You always hear from an actual person, and customer service is second to none.

Review from a similar Endurance Radial in Trailer Tires and Wheels

Tire is highly rated by RV owners and seems to be an expensive but good replacement for the china BOMBS that forest river and other trailer manufactors put on new trailers. On U- tube many people have had damageing blowouts with brand new tires with less than 6,000 miles on them. My blow out was in Maine with trailer damage and i am in the process of using these Endurance tires as i can afford...wish it was forest rivers bill.

Review from a similar Endurance Radial in Trailer Tires and Wheels

I wanted to replace my factory-installed travel trailer wheels and tires from 14.5" to 15" diameter, plus improve the wear resistance to a Load D rating. We still wanted to maintain the Retro look of our trailer, so we opted for the wheels that supported the original shiny half-moon hubcaps. After receiving all the parts (one damaged hubcap was quickly replaced; I recommend shipping them in a different box than the heavy wheels), I spray-painted the wheels a bright red, to support the original color scheme, then had them mounted and balanced by the local tire shop. I then installed them; they look great! Paula was a terrific help with the order processing; made it all go quite seamlessly!

I thought these tires were just fine, price was average. I will say though when I went to have them installed the tire shop employee went on and on about what a pile of crap these are!? Said they will be flat spotted in a year if the trailer isn't used weekly. Yikes. The tires we took off the trailer was a different brand so we will see how these hold up, i sure hope the guy at the tire shop was full of it. As of right now, I like the tires and they are deserving of the 5 stars.

Update: I have had absolutely no issues with these tire. The ride is great and they have held up very well. It was a good purchase and I actually ordered a spare for my boat trailer.

The Goodyear tires don’t have a lot of miles on them yet, but so far they ride well and air pressure remains consistent. A great deal from eTrailer!

  • Replacement Goodyear Trailer Tire in Size ST235/80R16
3/4 of an inch would not be enough clearance to have between the fender of your trailer and the tire. If the distance you mentioned is between the tires you'd need 2 inches there. You'll end up with quite a bit of rubbing. Your best option is to go with the same size your trailer had on it. We have a Goodyear Endurance tire part # 724858519 which is a ST235/80R16 just like what you had that would be a great solution. This has a weight capacity of 3,420 lbs at 80 psi and has a speed rating...

  • How Much Tire Capacity Necessary for Cougar Fifth Wheel
Because the pin weight of a fifth wheel is typically between 20-25 percent of its weight (as opposed to the lesser percentage from a bumper pull trailer), we typically specify that the combined capacity of the tires should cover the as-towed weight minus the fifth wheel's pin weight. So, if the 13990 lb figure you mentioned less the fifth wheel's pin weight is greater than the 13680 lb combined weight capacity of 4 of the # 724858519 Goodyear Endurance tires, they would work great for...

  • Should Trailer Tires be Filled to psi on Sidewall When Cold or Hot
When you inflate a trailer tire it needs to be up to the psi rating on the sidewall of the tire. For example, the Goodyear Endurance ST235/80R16 # 724858519 that you referenced has a load range of E which is 3,420 lbs at 80 psi. Since the psi will naturally rise when the tire heats up this is what the psi rating should be when the tire is cold. If you were to put your tires at a different load rating, like the 70 psi that you mentioned, then that means the weight rating would change...

The correct size of tire to use would be the one that the trailer manufacturer calls for but there is not an industry standard for this based on weight. That said, it would be best for you to just replace the tires with the same size you have now, 235/80-16 which is a very common size. In regards to load range, a load range "E" would be sufficient for your weight so it looks like you have the proper setup now. These tires have a 10-ply rating and support a 3,420 lbs maximum load at 80 PSI, with a speed rating of N - 87 MPH. • Are 235/80/16 Load Range E Rated High Enough for a 15,000 lb GVWR Trailer
Great question! The thing that a lot of people forget is that the tongue weight (TW) of the trailer takes some of that GVWR. Since a properly loaded trailer should have a TW that is 10-15% of the loaded weight of the trailer this means that if you carried enough stuff to sit right at the GVWR of 15,000 lbs then your axles would be left to carry between 12,750 lbs - 13,500 lbs of weight. We do have trailer tires that are slightly shorter than your current LT (or light truck) tire which is size 235/85R16. This will give you a tire that measures about an inch less...

  • Recommended High PSI Trailer Wheel for a 2019 K-Z Sportsmen 5th Wheel
The Aluminum Jaguar Trailer Wheel part # LHSJ513B for wheels with a 8 on 6-1/2" bolt pattern and part # 274-000011 for wheels with a 6 on 5-1/2" bolt pattern is what I recommend for a 2019 K-Z Sportsmen Fifth Wheel. In regards to psi, this will come from the valve stem so as long as you use the Americana Metal, Bolt-In Valve Stem part # AM20906 you will be covered over 110 psi. If you don't already have a trailer tire picked out, the Goodyear Endurance ST235/80R16 Radial Trailer Tire...
