Limited Warranty with Free Tire Replacement

This tire has a limited warranty with free tire replacement on workmanship defects. You are eligible for this warranty within the first 12 months from date of purchase or the first 2/32" of usable tread, whichever comes first.

Goodyear Endurance Radials

This radial ply tire from Goodyear is constructed with double steel belts and triple polyester cords for increased durability. A protective layer of nylon is wrapped around the steel belts to help prevent tread separation and an inner liner made out of halobutyl rubber reduces air loss.

Goodyear Endurance Durawall Technology

This Goodyear Endurance tire was built with Durawall technology, which is used on a lot of Goodyear's light truck tires for severe, heavy-duty use. This technology consists of a rubber compound that reinforces the sidewall to help prevent cuts, punctures, and other damage. Furthermore, the tire has a scuff guard, which is the raised strip of rubber on the sidewall. This protects the tire from abrasion if you hit a curb.

Goodyear Endurance Tread

And unlike standard trailer tire tread, which has solid, continuous ribs, the automotive-grade tread on these Goodyear Endurance tires has ribs with breaks. These breaks allow water to run off to the sides. This greatly improves traction during wet, snowy, or icy conditions.

Goodyear Endurance Coupling Grooves

The tread also consists of decoupling grooves that run along the outer edges of the tire. These grooves help evenly distribute the pressure that is put on the tire from contact with the road. When this happens, the grooves wear out faster than the surrounding tread, which minimizes irregular wear, especially when you're towing. Additionally, these outer edges usually heat up more quickly than the rest of the tire, and these decoupling grooves help keep it cool.

Radial Tires vs. Bias Tires

Radial tire vs bias tire graphic

Radial ply tires are designed for trailers that are towed on the highway. The cords on a radial tire are positioned at a 90-degree angle to the direction of travel so that they lay across the width of the tire from wheel lip to wheel lip. This construction prevents the cords from rubbing against one another when the tire flexes, unlike the cords on a bias ply tire. As a result, radial tires have less rolling resistance and heat buildup, which leads to a longer tread life and improved steering at higher speeds.

Video Transcript for Goodyear Tires and Wheels - Tire Only - 724857519 Review

Speaker 1: Today, we're going to take a look at the Goodyear Endurance ST225/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire in a load range E. Now this was a radial trailer tire, which is great for highway use. It is a special trailer tire design, so it couples a strength of a bias tire with the durability and stability of a radial tire. It is created specifically for trailers, it's not intended for use on any other vehicles. On this Goodyear tire, they do use an optimized tread depth and on each side or shoulder here they use decoupling grooves to help the tire remain cool while towing heavy loads. They do use a specialized inner liner on it to minimize air loss in trailer applications, because of the use of 100% halobutyl rubber. Does use Durawall technology, which helps resist sidewall cuts and punctures.

And there's even a little raised area here that's a scuff guard, helps provide sidewall protection. Now this is a polyester radial tire with two steel belts and a nylon overlay. Gives you improved durability and carrying capacity. This tire is compatible with TPMS, the tire pressure monitoring systems. It does meet the DOT, Department of Transportation specification and this tire sort of unique because this is the only trailer tire being made in the USA now, most all the tires are made overseas.A few specs on this, this tire is designed to fit on a wheel width of 15" by 6" wide, 15" by 6-1/2" wide, and 15" by 7" wide wheels. The tire size which is stamped on the sidewall right here, ST for special trailer, 225/75R15, the R means it's a radial design tire.

Section width on this size 8.8". Overall diameter from the bottom to the very top when it's inflated is 28.3. This tire is a load range E, which means it's a 10 ply rated tire. Has a maximum load capacity of 2,830 pounds at 80 PSI.And the last thing I do want to mention is most all the new trailer tires are coming through with a speed rating on them now. And a speed rating they designate by a letter designation and where that is on the tire, if you'll go right down on around the bead here, you'll see the tire size again repeated.

Right after it, you'll see two numbers which are the load index and the letter N. Speed rating N on this tire means it's an 87 mile per hour speed rating. But that should do it for the review on the Goodyear Endurance ST225/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire, in a load range E.

Do you have a question about this Tires and Wheel?

  • Replacement Tires for Forest River Rockwood Geo Pro G19FD with ST235/75-15 Tires
  • The reason you are having trouble finding replacement tires for your Forest River Rockwood Geo Pro G19FD is because the ST235/75-15 tires it has is a very uncommon size that only a few trailer tire manufacturers produce. The closest size we have to this is a ST225/75-15 which is going to be 0.6" smaller in diameter and 0.4" smaller in width. The decreased size should not cause any issues whatsoever on your trailer therefore, I recommend switching to the Goodyear Endurance ST225/75R15 Radial...

  • Are Castle Rock Tires Prone to Blowouts
  • This conversation is always a slippery slope because most folk's opinions are usually based solely on their personal experience and not in comparison to the entire market. Blowouts are almost always caused by something more than just how the tire was built, but there are some characteristics of a tire to consider when choosing which tire you want on your trailer. For example, Castle Rock is an economy trailer tire. If we compare it to the Goodyear Endurance ST225/75R15 Tire, # 724857519,...

  • What Should the Tire Pressure be for a 225/75-15 Trailer Tire with Load Range E Rating
  • If you install new 225/75-15 tires on your trailer or any trailer for that matter with a load range e rating like part # LHWL304 for example then you will need to fill them to the max psi listed on the sidewall which for this tire is 80 psi. This will allow you to retain the maximum weight capacity of 2,830 lbs per tire. In regards to ply rating, this is no longer a viable metric in today's industry when comparing tires as tire manufacturers have gone to using lighter but stronger materials...

  • PSI of Goodyear Endurance 225/75R15 Trailer Tires
  • The Goodyear Endurance ST225/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire # 724857519 with a load range of E have a maximum load of 2,830 at 80 psi but these can be a different psi based on the rating of the load rating you want. I have added a chart which shows the psi based on tire size and load capacity. For a ST225/75R15 trailer tire with a load rating of D our most popular option is the Contender # C22515D which has a maximum load of 2,540 lbs at 65 psi. You would want to get the tires that have a...

  • Can I Replace Trailer Tires with Light Duty Truck Tires
  • Thank you for trusting us at the beginning stages of your research! Trailer tires actually have a different design than passenger tires (like the light duty tires you are talking about) so you always want to stick with trailer tires for a trailer. The sidewall is more stiff because they don't have to help with a comfortable ride. This means that they are much better suited to handle the heavier trailer weights and they do a better job as dissipating heat when under a heavy load than...

  • USA Made Trailer Tire Size 225/75-15 Recommendation
  • For your tire size of 225/75-15 I recommend the Goodyear Endurance ST225/75R15 # 724857519. The reason I recommend this tire is that it is USA made, has the highest speed rating (87 mph), has weight capacity of 2,830 lbs, and has a great warranty. This will work great on your Fleetwood Mallard! These have a ply rating of 8 but that isn't super important like it once was. As long as the weight capacity is adequate for the trailer that's all that really matters.

  • Will Goodyear 225/75R-15 Trailer Tire Fit as Replacement for 205/75R-15 Trailer Tire
  • The Goodyear Endurance ST225/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire - Load Range E # 724857519 is definitely an upgrade over the Westlake ST205/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire - Load Range D # LHWL300 and is likely to fit well as a replacement if you have a bit of extra room on your Grand Design travel trailer. When inflated, the Westlake 205/75R15 measures 8.1 inches wide and has a diameter of 27.1 inches, while the Goodyear Endurance measures 8.9 inches wide and has a diameter of 28.3 inches. So as...

  • Weight Capacity of 5th Wheel Trailer Tires Required Accounting for King Pin Weight in GVWR
  • Technically you do remove the tongue weight of the trailer from the tire load capacity for the GVWR. The tires only need to be rated for the weight that is actually on the tire, so the axles can even be rated slightly lower. This however is not normally the case. In most instances the axles and especially the tires are rated higher than the required capacity for the GVWR. For 15 inch tires the load rating of E is the highest rating we carry. • Can a Radial 225/75-15 Size Tire be Used as a Replacement with Other Bias Tires of Same Size
  • Although radial tires are better for highway use if you are currently using bias tires and you are only replacing one then you need to get a bias. Even if the radial and bias tires you are using are rated for trailers they track and wear slightly differently. To replace your bias tire I recommend the Kenda Loadstar ST225/75D15 # AM1ST96 which has a load range D ( 2,540 lbs at 65 psi) and a speed rating of 81 mph. • Would Goodyear Trailer Tire 225/75-15 Work well On Dirt Roads and Snow
  • All trailer tires like the Goodyear Endurance ST225/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire # 724857519 that you referenced are intended for use on pavement so they have tread patterns that are going to perform the best in highway applications. Since the tires are on idler axles (not powered) they don't really need an aggressive tread pattern so this tire would do just as well as any other tire out there in the situations you mentioned. Braking might be an issue in heavy snow, but you'd just have to...

To replace all 6 tires on your trailer I highly recommend the Goodyear Endurance ST225/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire # 724857519. This is an excellent radial ply trailer tire that is made right here in the USA (extremely unique for trailer tires), features a maximum load of 2,830 pounds at 80 psi, and has a maximum speed of 87 mph (which also sets it apart from most other trailer tires on the market)....

  • E Rated Trailer Tire Recommendation for Tire Size ST225/75R15
  • The rim itself would have no problem handling 80 psi as most trailer wheels easily handle quite a bit more. The valve stems might need to be upgraded to a higher capacity but normally that's replaced at the time of a tire replacement anyway. For a Load Range E tire in the size ST225/75R15 we have the Goodyear Endurance part # 724857519 which has a capacity of 2,830 lbs at 80 psi and a speed rating of 87 mph.
