Today we're gonna take a look at the Americana one and a quarter inch long rubber snap in valve stem, rated up to 65 PSI. Now, this rubber valve stem will install into your wheel, provides an inflation point for putting the air pressure into your tires. Basically, once this is installed, you just remove the valve cap, put your air hose on there, pump in the correct tire pressure needed for your application. Now, valve stems really only come in two different diameters, and the diameter is the part of the valve stem that's measured here, that fits into the wheel rim hole, and basically the smaller one is .453 of an inch. This is the larger .625 an inch. This one will fit the larger 16 inch and larger diameter wheels that use a larger rim hole. The smaller ones will fit the smaller wheels and tires. This is made of a durable rubber construction. To install this, it's a simple snap it installation.
It does require a valve insertion tool like this. We do sell this separately. It's part number SLM20077, and what you would do to install it is just push this up through the hole in your wheel, thread this onto the valve stem, and then once you have it threaded on enough, what you would do is push this. You'll see these five different cut outs here. This will go up against the rim of your wheel.
If it's a nice wheel, you might want to put a piece of cloth underneath there. Then you'll pry up against the wheel rim, outer rim, and that'll pull this valve stem up into your wheel and pop it into place and seal it.That's the easy way to install it. Now, lots of times when you go to buy tires, they'll automatically include the valve stems and install them in the purchase price when they install them. But if you do need to put these in separately, you do need that valve insertion tool to install them.Specs on this. The length is gonna be right at one and a quarter inches.
The rim hold diameter I mentioned this fits into is .625 of an inch, and this valve stem is rated up to 65 PSI. Now, if you do need to use a valve, or your tires take more than 65 PSI, you do need to use not just this regular valve stem. You'll need to use usually they also offer these in a reinforced valve stem, which usually go up to about 80 PSI. Or you can even use the metal valve stem, and those would go up to 200 PSI. Just depending on what size tire and the pressure you use in your tires, you want to choose the correct valve stem. But that should do it for the review on the Americana one and a quarter inch long rubber snap in valve stem, rated up to 65 PSI..
