Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this VIAIR TLC Boost XL 150 PSI RV Air Compressor Kit with the Air Tank. Now this kit here will let you inflate your vehicle and bicycle tires or even power your air tools using this portable air compressor that includes this two gallon tank here and it does connect directly to your vehicle's battery for power and the maximum air pressure on this is 150 PSI. Now the compressor itself can be hard mounted using the terminal rings that'll be wired to your vehicle's battery and they do even include mounting hardware for mounting this. The compressor will charge this air tank to 150 PSI in under three minutes, storing enough air to provide a nice blast for seating, tubeless bicycle tires, running certain air tools, and it is even capable of inflating RV and truck tires up to 35 inches in diameter.
This kit includes everything shown here on the table, includes the air compressor, the two gallon air tank, and then the fuse. You can see the fuse right here, fuse 2-Pin SAE connector. This will connect to this 2-Pin SAE connector that has the terminal rings on it, that connect to your battery. Right here it has a 30 foot long coiled air hose, includes this nice shop-style inflator with a built-in 160 PSI pressure gauge, nice blow gun, and right here, we have a 90 degree twist-on Schrader attachment. So basically you can screw this onto your valves on your tires and air them up.
Over here we have a rebuildable Presta Head attachment. Now the Presta Heads are for Presta valves that are normally on bicycle tires and this is a nice attachment to have to air up your bicycle tires. They also include this Presta valve adapter that you can screw into some of these accessories and use it also. And then it gives you three piece accessory inflation tips here, the two plastic ones and even a needle valve. Comes with the air filter housing right up here and the extra filters.
Nice set of instructions and right here, a nice carrying case for all these accessories to keep 'em all together in one place. Now on the compressor itself, it has this eight foot long fused 2-Pin SAE connector and it is fused right here. This'll plug into the two foot long, terminal ring power cord and once you plug it in, it'll give you enough length that you should be able to reach most battery locations and then the terminal rings right here will attach directly to the battery. Up on the compressor, has a built-in on and off switch. Now I am gonna hook this up to some 12 volt power just so you can hear the noise level of the compressor.
So we'll take our SAE connectors, pull off the caps, go ahead and plug these together. And once we get those all plugged together, then I'm gonna take our terminal rings and hook those up to our 12 volt power. Once we get these all hooked up, should be ready to go. I'll go ahead and turn on the switch and you can hear the noise level. It's actually somewhat quiet for a very large compressor like this, and you can turn it off. Push the switch, turn it back on. Now the 30 foot long coiled air hose has a quick connector on one end. This portion here is what'll install into your tank. You just slide that back, push it in and it connects it and then you'll have your connector here that any accessory will attach to. And to release it, just slide that, just like that. The inflator right here, you can see, this inflator has a nice 160 PSI gauge built into it to give you a nice accurate reading of your air pressure. Also has a nice, you can see you just operate it like that, and then over on the side here you'll see this little flip button you can push. That's a bleeder valve. So if you put in too much air, just push that to let out some of the air pressure. Right here is a 10 inch long, 90 degree twist-on Schrader valve attachment. Basically you take off your valve cap, twist this on to secure it to your valve stem and then hook that to your air to put in your air pressure. We had mentioned they have the rebuildable Presta Head attachment, again for the bicycle tires and they call it rebuildable 'cause you can unscrew this and take it all apart to clean it. The three accessory tips to keep your toys, mattresses aired up on your trip, and that Presta valve adapter for the bicycle applications. Does have a nice set of instructions that'll describe how this all goes together and how it operates, and right here we have the nice durable storage bag for putting all these pieces into the bag and keeping them all together with your compressor. A few specs on this. The voltage is 12 volts, maximum amp draw is 30 amps, maximum air pressure 150 PSI, and a maximum air flow is 2.62 cubic feet per minute. Now the duty cycle on this compressor is 33% at 100 PSI, which will mean 20 minutes on and 40 minutes off. The weight on this unit is about 22 pounds and the dimensions, the length 19 inches long, six inches wide, and the height from the bottom to the tallest point is about 15 inches tall. But that should do it for the review on this VIAIR TLC Boost XL 150 PSI RV Air Compressor Kit with the Air Tank..
