This anchor has a sleeve that mounts under the D-ring to help prevent it from rattling when not in use. It lets you add an extra anchor point on your truck, trailer or van to secure mowers, tillers, and other lightweight cargo.
Features:
Specs:
Note: Tie-down anchors must be chosen according to their safe working load limit (WLL). The weight of the secured cargo must not exceed the combined WLL of the anchors being used. For example, if you are using anchors with a WLL of 100 lbs each to tie down a load weighing 400 lbs, then you need at least 4 anchors to safely secure that load. It is recommended that you always use anchors in pairs.

Hey guys, it's Randy here at etrailer.com. We've got all kinds of different cargo management solutions from E-Track, all the way, down to D-rings. That's what we're going to be taking a look at today. The thing I like about this, D-ring, it's a little bit different than most of them, because it's an anti-rattle type. So basically, on the bottom side, we install our D-ring just like normal, but you can see there's a little, thin plate of spring steel down here. That takes up the gap between our upper plate and our lower plate and assures us as we head down the road that this doesn't bounce around and rattle, and get really annoying.
Now, while on a utility trailer, that might not be too important but if you're going to be installing these in your truck, or maybe your cargo van, that can be pretty aggravating as you head down the road.In my opinion, I think these are going to be a really good way to get your items secure without the additional hassle or headache that we get with the noise involved. Now, these have the 800 pounds safe working load limit. We have the same thing in a higher capacity, 1,667 pounds if you're looking for something that has just a little bit more strength to it. And if you don't already have them, we have a four-pack with carrying bag of the etrailer ratchet straps, lots of good things on the strap's keepers at the bottom, rubberized handle, keeper for our strap up here. So, it might be a good addition to get your items secured wherever you might need. Now, once you've decided where you're going to be mounting your D-ring, the installation process is pretty straightforward.
It's going to come in three pieces. We've got our anti-rattle clip, we want to place that down, of course. Place our D-ring down on top of that, and then we've got our upper portion, get that placed on. Then, depending on what you're going to mount to, you have quarter-inch holes to use. So, I'm going to use number 14, self-tapping screws.
These are not provided. If you're going into steel, these might be a good option, you could also use quarter-inch bolts if you want. Just going to get it in place here and get it secured. You can install any of the other ones that you have and we'll get them to use. And once we get our D-rings installed and you can see any size hook is really going to work out there. They're nice and large and open, strap that down.
Now, one thing to keep in mind is that we always recommend using more than one strap. So, it's definitely a good idea to get a second one in place, but once you've got that done, you'll be ready to hit the road. You know, your load will be nice and secure.

This anchor has a sleeve that mounts under the D-ring to help prevent it from rattling when not in use. It lets you add an extra anchor point on your truck, trailer or van to secure mowers, tillers, and other lightweight cargo.I added extra tie downs in the stalls of my horse trailer. I had some in place already when I bought it. I find myself cursing at the old tie down anchors and loving these instead. I like how firm they are which is why they don't rattle.
They are just what I wanted. Thanks again etrailer!

They are working great! Even after a year they are as good as the day I bought them. Thanks etrailer!
Worked great. I bought stainless steel bolts for these and installed them on them in my truck box for an extra tie down location. Won’t hold big heavy cargo but works to hold straps for most things like camping gear!
I am extremely pleased with the purchase of these D-ring Tie Downs. Attaching them to my lawn mower trailer will be easy and they don't rattle.
I have also purchased snow chains and new trailer tires and wheels from etrailer. They have the best pricing around and speedy shipping as well.
