    • Lets you anchor ATVs, UTVs, and other heavy cargo on your truck, utility trailer or enclosed cargo trailer
  • Sleeve under D-ring keeps anchor tight and helps prevent rattling
  • D-ring rotates 180 degrees so you can attach your rope, strap or bungee from multiple angles
  • Steel construction with yellow-zinc plating is strong and corrosion resistant
  • Bolt-on installation to most flat, solid surfaces
    • Mounting hardware not included

Specs:

  • Maximum load (break strength): 11,000 lbs
  • Safe working load limit (WLL): 3,666 lbs
  • D-ring dimensions:
    • Thickness: 1/2"
    • Inner dimensions: 2-1/4" wide x 2-3/16" long
    • Overall width: 3-1/4"
  • Mounting bracket dimensions: 3-1/8" long x 1-3/4" wide
  • Distance between mounting holes (center to center): 2"
  • 1-Year limited warranty

Note: Tie-down anchors must be chosen according to their safe working load limit (WLL). The weight of the secured cargo must not exceed the combined WLL of the anchors being used. For example, if you are using anchors with a WLL of 100 lbs each to tie down a load weighing 400 lbs, then you need at least 4 anchors to safely secure that load. It is recommended that you always use anchors in pairs.

Video Transcript for CargoSmart Anti-Rattle D-Ring Tie-Down Anchor Review

Hey guys, it's Randy here at etrailer.com. Today we're going to be taking a look at a D-Ring Tie Down from Cargo Smart. Now if you've ever had these installed in your trailer, as you drive around they can generally make a lot of noise. Basically, this one has a separate piece that installs underneath it. Puts a little spring tension up against it, and it really eliminates that headache. You'll see the yellow zinc finish on all the components will help to ensure even if you're going to be using this outdoors in the utility trailer type situation, you won't have any issues at all with this rusting or corroding.

The D-Ring also offers a 3,666 pound safe working load limit. So it can get even the heaviest of loads secured down for us, especially if we use a couple of them: UTVs, ATVs, tractors, cars, trucks, stuff like that really shouldn't be any kind of an issue.Another bracket here at the base, when are D-Ring's laid down. That's going to be our highest point, and that's going to be about 3/4 of an inch. If that gives you issues when loading and unloading and it's something you don't really want, we do have options that are more flush to the floor. This one happens to be from Brophy.

Part number is RR05. You see near the same capacity, but it's a little bit more flush. This is going to be closer to 3/8 rather than 3/4.And to install our bracket to hold our D-Rings in place, we're going to be using 3/8 inch carriage bolts, where on the bottom side we're going to use a flat washer and a nylon lock nut. Now the 3/8 carriage bolt is going to fit right down in those square holes that prevents it from turning, really makes installation a one-person job. And also, it's going to give you the smoothest surface possible, rather than the hex bolts sticking up there.

And we need to decide where we're going to mount our bracket, and that's really going to be up to you. Ours is going to be going right out here. It's going to work in conjunction with this track to hold our generator in place here in the back. So, going to get that positioned where we want it. I'm just going to mark my two hole locations there with the 3/8 inch bit.

Then we can get them drilled out.Now with our holes drilled, we can take our thinner anti-rattle plate. That's going to be lined up with our holes. We're going to place on our D-Ring. Then we'll place on our larger bracket there, and when we can get our bolts fed through, get them so they're down in flush, then we'll head under and put our bolts and washers on. Our nuts and washers, rather. Let's just get these started on. I like using the nylon lock nut, just because we know it won't back off of there. You can also use a lock washer if you want. But the flat washer helps to spread that energy out. It's really going to help reduce the possibility of us pulling these anchors up through that plywood. We'll just getting them snug down. Now we can just take our hook and hook it on. You can see nice large opening there, so just about any type hook you wanted to connect, you shouldn't have any type of problem with it. Get our slack pulled out, and get it secured down. Now, overall, I think this is an excellent quality tie down. Can't see a problem with it in the world. I think this is going to be good in any situation to get stuff tied down and secure. It doesn't take up a whole lot of room. But especially if you're going to be mounting these in the back of your truck, or you're going to be mounting them in a van or something like this, I think that anti-rattle feature is really going to save you a lot of headaches. You just don't have to hear that noise rattling around in the back.
