Light Duty Trailer Tie Down Lashing Ring

  • Capacity: 1,000 lbs.
  • Safe Working Load Limit: 330 lbs
  • 1-1/2" D-Ring
lashing ring

Note: Tie-down anchors must be chosen according to their safe working load limit (WLL). The weight of the secured cargo must not exceed the combined WLL of the anchors being used. For example, if you are using anchors with a WLL of 100 lbs each to tie down a load weighing 400 lbs, then you need at least 4 anchors to safely secure that load. It is recommended that you always use anchors in pairs.

Video Transcript for Brophy Tie Down Anchors - Trailer Tie-Down Anchors - SR10-C Review

Today we'll be reviewing part number SR10-C. This is the light-duty tie-down from Brophy rated at 1,000 pounds. It's going to provide us with a safe working load limit of 330 pounds. Now, if you need some additional support depending on the surface that you're mounting it to, we recommend backing plate, part number BP12. That's just going to add the extra support that you need for your tie-down. So the way this works is you'd just place this portion here over your D-ring, install your bolts and you'll be set to go as long as you get those fully secure. The mounting hardware is sold separately, so you will need to purchase that in addition to the D-ring.

To help assist you in that the biggest thing that you need to know is the diameter of each bolt hole. These two holes are identical and they're going to give us a diameter of 1/4". If you measure the distance from the center of one hole to the center of the other, it's going to give us a measurement of 1 1/4". The overall length of this platform is going to measure 2 1/4". The overall width is going to measure right at 1 1/4". Now, when measuring our D-ring, we're measuring the space on the inside. That's going to give us a measurement of 1 1/2".

So that's going to give us plenty of room to make our connection point. This system is covered with a zinc-plated finish so it is going to stand up well against rust and corrosion. You can see here when the D-ring is not in use you can pivot it to either side and it will lay flush so that way it doesn't take up any additional space. That's going to complete today's review of part number SR10-C. This is the Brophy light-duty trailer tie-down. .

Brophy Light Duty D-Ring Tie-Down Anchor - 2-1/4" Wide - Surface Mount - 330 lbs - SR10-C

Average Customer Rating:  4.9 out of 5 stars   (96 Customer Reviews)

I have been looking for this particular type of product for a few weeks. I have looked pretty much everywhere I could think of. I saw this product and compared the price to other similar products. Given the lower price of this product I was a little hesitant to purchase until I read the reviews. I am very glad I read the reviews and am more than pleased with the quality of items received. I installed these on the sideboards I have on my Silverado (please see attached photos). I usually do not right reviews on products but felt I should take the time to review this one. Thanks for the excellent product and super fast shipping. David B. from North Carolina.

Exactly what I was looking for. Brand new v-nose enclosed cargo trailer without any way to stabilize items inside. All I was looking for were simple points to attach straps, bungees..... whatever, just to keep items from shifting. No real requirement for heavy-weight tie downs.

Dave J.

Functioning as expected

These tie-down rings are perfect for securing accessories, tools, boxes, etc in my cargo trailer. When screwed into the metal frame of the interior I am confident that my cargo will stay where I put it and be very secure.

Doug W.

Still working as I expected. Trailer went on 8000 mile round trip during RUN FOR THE WALL and everything stayed where it belonged. Going again this coming May.

The trailer door hinges and latch system have been on my custom trailer for well over a year and a half. They function great and still look like new. Great products and would certainly buy them again. Also the shipment and correctness of the order was perfect. My follow up orders of several accessories were also handled in a totally professional way and the products were equally high quality.

These tie down anchors are just what I needed. They are well made and the price couldn't be beat. I received my product in great condition and in a timely manner. I'm very pleased with my overall experience.

Jeff G.

Great! No problems or complaints.

Nice, straight-forward, little tie down loops. I bolted 6 of these around the sides of my little utility trailer. :)

Marty A.

Very well. I drilled through my trailer frame and bolted these around the sides. Simple and strong.

Mounted low on the walls of my enclosed trailer about every two feet to bungee light items to the sides. Helped keep things from sliding around in the trailer. Right price and a simple, useful, easy to mount product. had the best price and very fast shipping!

We use the anchors in a marching band equipment trailer to secure everything from drum cases to uniform carts. Works very well and not in the way when not being used. We are thinking about adding more for convenience.

I have ordered many items for my utility trailer from etrailer and found everything top quality and their service the best. As with everything else the tie downs I ordered were just what I wanted. I could not be more satisfied.

I put several of these along both sides of the trailer making sure that the screws went through the upright supports of the trailer instead of just relying on the plywood to hold them and they are extremely strong. I have yet to have one pull loose. A great product at a super price!

Spectacular customer service. My package had been opened and these tie downs had been lost. I reported that I would purchase them again with my next order, but etrailer sent me replacements before I could order even though it was not their fault.
What a classy operation!

These d-ring anchors are the perfect light duty tie down points. They are excellent quality at a low cost. I'm using mine on a pontoon boat as tie down points for my cover srtaps.

Great item, heavy duty. These will make securing loads on my trailer much easier

Butch C.

Tie-down anchors have been and are working just as I hoped they would, just what I needed in my enclosed trailer to hold items in-place.

Tie downs. The team was excellent. Although one of the three items I ordered was not in stock, they made sure to ship the items I needed for family camping trip and communicated that via e mail. Great job, thanks, and I got my tie downs soon afterward.

Excellent product. Installed them inside a box trailer to serve as hold downs and they worked very well. Quite sturdy!

Wish these were the same price when i originally ordered them i am in need of more. These work great in my enclosed trailer

It's exactly what I was looking for to replace in my friend's trailer and it's exactly what I needed.

I bought about 40 of these for my 6x12 enclosed trailer they are wonderful for the price can't go wrong with these

You can always use tie down rings. They are better than what you get at Home Depot for the same price ,much heavery .

Great for securing small items to walls in enclosed trailer

Standard cargo tie down. Works just fin e.

Great product and great service. Quick delivery.

Fast delivery! Quality Products!! Will use again!! The materials etrailers sells is better value and cheaper than local supply stores!!

That sounds ... complicated. But to answer your question, the Brophy Light Duty D-Ring Tie-Down Anchor # SR10-C is made of zinc-plated steel according to the manufacturer. I have also attached a photo showing the measurements of this d-ring for you to check out.

  • Installing Brophy Light Duty Trailer Tie-Down # SR10-C in a Haulmark 7 x 16 V-Nose Trailer
The Brophy Light Duty Trailer Tie-Down, part # SR10-C, mounts with hardware of your preference using two holes that are centered at 1-1/4-inch spacing. Note that the plate and D-ring are separate parts until installed. The mounting holes themselves are of 1/4-inch diameter. These D-ring tie downs have a safe working load limit (WLL) of 330-lbs each. Since it sounds like your application requires that these provide only horizontal hold (to keep the tables held firmly against the interior...

  • What Size and Type of Screws are Recommended for Installing Light Duty Trailer Tie-Down # SR10-C
Since you would be putting the Light Duty Trailer Tie-Down, # SR10-C, on a wooden trailer floor, I recommend using 1/4 inch wood screws. For the underside of the trailer, should the screws go all the way through, I would use some silicone sealant like # 0160297 around the holes. For the underside of the pressure treated wood floor, you can use any product for a pressure treated deck floor that you can get at a local home center.

  • Availability of Weld-On D-Ring Tie Downs for Installation on Aluminum Trailer
We do offer many weld-on D-ring tie-downs for cargo control on trailers. These are shown on the linked page. All of these items are made of steel, not aluminum. It is not easy to weld steel and aluminum (due to the two metals' different melting points) but a skilled professional welder should be able to do it. If you prefer to avoid the complication of welding you might consider the bolt-on D-rings shown on the other linked page. For example, Brophy offers various sizes such as # SR15-C...

  • Hardware Needed to Install Brophy Tie-Down SR10 on a Truck Bed Floor
When installing the Brophy Light Duty D-Ring Tie Down Anchor # SR10-C to your truck bed floor, I'd recommend using the mounting plate # BP12, which will be placed under your truck bed directly under the D-ring. This will give you additional support for the D-ring so that you do not damage the bed of your truck. As for the hardware, Brophy recommends using 1/4" x 2 1/4" Zinc bolts, nuts and lock washers which you should be able to purchase locally at any hardware store. I've attached a video...

  • Adding Tie-Down Points to Secure a Boat on a Ford Ranger with a Tonneau Cover
You may be able to use the Extang CargoCleats Tie Downs # EX1932 but I'm not sure they'll work with your tonneau cover. If your tonneau are attached at the side rails, they probably will not. Another option, that isn't really ideal, is to drill into the truck and install some D-rings like # SR10-C.

The Brophy D-ring # RR01-C you referenced has a WLL of 400-lbs, half of what you need to match your other D-ring, if it is indeed rated for 2500-lbs breaking strength.
