Lumens are used to measure the amount of usable light that is put out by a light source. Raw lumens represent the number of lumens that the manufacturer claims the LEDs are capable of producing. It does not include the light's drive method or the amount of light lost from the lens or reflector. Effective lumens take these factors into account and represent the number of lumens that are actually produced by the complete light assembly, not just the amount of light that the diodes are capable of producing. Stable lumens builds off the idea of effective lumens by measuring the amount of light produced after 30 minutes of usage, or once the diodes have reached their average operating temperature. These bulbs have a 600 raw lumen capacity per bulb and produce 199 effective lumens per bulb. The stable lumen capacity per bulb is 75 lumens.

Ellen: Hey everyone, I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com and we're going to be taking a look at the 1156 style bolt. These are a red LED bulbs. They're going to be a great replacement for your stop signals or your brake lights on your vehicle. Let's take a closer look at these guys and make sure that they're going to be the right fit for you. Again, it is the 1156 style, and that is going to be a bayonet style bulb. It just pushes in and then screws into place.
So just a little half turn or a quarter turn to get that in place in your vehicle. They are similar size to your OEM bulbs, so you shouldn't have any issues with clearance or fitment, so they should just fit right in. I'm going to hook one of these guys up to power. It's going to blink on and off just because I'm having to do it with these little alligator clamps. They are reverse polarity protected, so it shouldn't cause any issues with the lights themselves, but you can see that red light as it comes on.I'm going to turn out the light in the studio so you get a little bit better idea of how bright that is and the color.
Again, nice red light for us. These are going to also have a durable aluminum housing, so we shouldn't have any issues with overheating. They are IP67 rated, so you shouldn't have any issues with shock or water or dust. They're pretty much impervious to dust and water, so it should last a long time. No issues with any rain or sleet getting in there and causing any shorts or malfunctions with the light.
They have a light output of 600 lumens for the raw output. The effective lumens is 199 or just under 200 lumens. That's really more the number to pay attention to. After about 30 minutes of continued use, that does drop down to 75 lumens.But, again, that would be if you have the brakes on for a solid 30 minutes, which you typically shouldn't or else there's other problems going on. There's 23 diodes in total, so we'll have some around the outside and then also at the top.
The color temperature is 1000 Kelvin, so it's that red color that you saw. The wattage per bulb is 6.5 Watts, power draw at 12 volts is 0.65 amps. Voltage is between 9 and 16 volts and it's a DC, and then it also has a limited two year warranty. That's pretty much it for our look at the 1165 LED bulbs. I wanted to replace the old bulbs in my trailer but everywhere I looked they were going to cost me $xx or more per pair. I found etrailer while looking on line for trailer parts and was very surprised how affordable the bulbs were. I ordered all the bulbs in the trailer for less than half the cost I was expecting. They arrived yesterday and I put them in. Wow, what a difference. Way better light output, much less battery power being used. All for a fraction of the cost. On 18 October 2021, I purchased 4 packs of model 194 LED bulbs (ARC64FR). As soon as they arrived, I replaced the existing incandescent marker light bulbs on my Coachmen travel trailer with these LED bulbs. When I hooked up the travel trailer to my truck and turned on the lights, the improvement was quite noticeable. The ARC64FR LEDs were much brighter – even in the afternoon sunlight. Quite pleased. Money well spent. Another great product from etrailer.com.

These are great bulbs that produce a very white bright light. I would guess they produce twice the light as a normal incandescent bulb.

I have been having great difficulty finding a short, high lumen, wedge base LED bulb to fit our RV ceiling light fixtures (which have 2 bulbs in one compartment). These have worked... although I wish they were 1000 lumen.

This LED replacement completely changed the lighting in my RV for the better. I put them in the main living area and work area and you no longer feel like you are living by flashlight. The only drawback to the replacement bulb is it is slightly wider than glass bulbs and it takes significantly more pressure to insert them. However, they will go in without breaking the fixture. The picture shows the clear difference with both type bulbs in a single fixture.
