Light will work as an exact replacement for:
Bargman # 30-99-002
A P2-rated light produces a 45-degree angle of light to either side of its centerline for a total of 90 degrees of coverage. This beam pattern can be seen straight on, but it cannot be seen clearly from the side. So this type of light can be used as either a side marker light or a clearance light, but it cannot function as both. If you need both functions, then you must install 2 separate lights on your trailer - one as a front or rear clearance light and one as a side marker light.

Today we're going to be taking a look at the Optronics rectangular trailer light. This is an amber rectangular light that functions as a clearance or side marker light. It's going to feature the reflectorized lens. It is Department of Transportation compliant so that's going to eliminate the need for a separate reflector. It's going to feature a weather and corrosion resistant construction. We're looking at a molded plastic housing with a very strong and durable lens.
That lens is replaceable if every needed. That's just a snap on lens, and it's going to contain one incandescent bulb that's replaceable as well. That bulb number is 194. It's going to feature a single wire design that's going to be your power lead and then the unit grounds through the mounting hardware. Mounting hardware is not included. The light is SAE and Department of Transportation compliant.
You see here on the back side it's got two mount holes. The distance between those mount holes going on center. Those are separated apart from one another by three inches. The overall length is going to measure four inches. Overall width is an inch and a half, and then the overall depth from back to front ...
It's going to measure 15/16 of an inch deep. When it comes to the power draw at 12.8 volts, we're looking at 0.4 amps. We're going to go ahead and hook it up to power. That way you can see what it looks like with some power running to it. We'll also be able to turn off our overhead light so you can see it in a lower light setting. That's our power wire right there.
So you can see there it sends out a good signal. We'll go ahead and turn our lights off and get a better look at it. So right there in the center it has the clear part of the lens. It allows plenty of light to come through. Then on the sides of the lens you can see how it has that built in reflector, which again eliminates the need for a separate reflector to be used. That part of the unit is Department of Transportation compliant as well. That's going to do it for today's look at the Optronics rectangular trailer light.
